Hello, I have problem with big drain battery. No play games, only surface network. Last 24h no used sim, only wifi (wificalling).
Just bought 8 Pro and after I installed the update my battery started to drain like crazy and it looks same as yours. Did you find any solution or did the problem just go away?

Actually my problem is solved. I just rebooted my phone and charged it to 100.
Have you tried to do factory reset? Sometimes when you update your phone, you need to do factory reset because phones may experience some bugs.

I haven't tried it. I don't have time to reconfigure my phone. Do you have a good way to restore everything?

Hi
Has anyone experienced that the tablet switches off constantly with out any any specific reason?
I could easily surf or read an email without switching off.. but then i would watch a movie and it switch off instantly or the other way around and its not even shutting down.. it just goes from powered on, to completely switched off.. It does not get hot and it does charge perfectly and the battery level does not drop/discharge radically.. it has never been dropped or manhandled. and it started doing last week
I'm on stock 3.2 PDA:KMP CSC:KMP (XAB), not rooted..
Any ideas, suggestions?
Thanks in advance
I suggest you to discuss your matter from where have you bought the notebook as there might be some problem in hardware

I used to own a Galaxy Tab plus 7.0, which experienced this known problem of random reboot and/or sleep of death. You could google that to find out more.
I've since returned it for a refund. Then I picked up this used P7500 a month ago. It has not experienced not even one reboot. Sure, apps do crash from time to time, but the OS never completely froze.
How long have you owned your unit? If relatively new, I would returned it. If for a while, and only recently you experienced the problem, then I would do a factory wipe, or at least re-trace your steps and uninstall the last few apps. Also, ask yourself whether the problem is already related to certain apps. If so, get rid of those apps.
hi
Did a complete wipe.. so now its close as possible to factory default..
Could it be a battery calibration error? it works plugged in to either pc or wall socket.. works 10min after but then switches of randomly
Thanks for all the help/suggestions so far really appreciate it!
I know some mentioned the option of returning it.. But its bought in the US and im located in Denmark!

i tried wake lock detector .. it showed that the device is being held awake but in the wakelocks tab there was nothing that was keeping the device awake for so long
Do you have alarms or anything of sort? (it might matter)
Disable all syncs, try to off (most) of those chat apps like wechat and line etc(go to settings>apps force stop), wechat in particular drains quite a lot.
I don't use stock but mine is close to it but I deleted lots of bloats from TB.
I only leave whatsapp on.
Infact, try out using Airplane, if even in airplane the battery still sucks, try reflashing everything using bootloader.
the thread title says that your n4 doesnt go into sleep mode.. where do you have something showing this?? battery loss does not equal not going into sleep mode. have you checked if your device goes into sleep mode, or are you just assuming? use something like cpu spy to see if your device is going into sleep mode..
Indeed, try CPU Spy. I use unrooted stock 4.3 and mine deep-sleeps just fine.

Since update I'm having the same problem as OP has. Reboot solves problem for a day or two, but it returns.
I'm at the point when I'm ready to try factory reset.

yaaa evn i am looking for a solution
This is battery stats from the first day after OTA: http://imgur.com/Bn9B8FA
You can clearly see when device stop going to sleep, and Android OS drained battery for more than 11 hours.
When I saw this, I rebooted the phone, and next day everything was OK. Battery life was even better, than with 4.2.2. But after third day, Android OS was again on top of the list. Again, reboot had solved problem only temporary. Wake lock stats app does not show anything unusual. I'm runing stock not rooted firmware. If I do not find any solution, I'll just wipe it on weekend in hope it'll help.

I made a new thread with all the data, in hope that somebody could help figure this out, but two days and no one else posted there) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2392155
Nexus 4 is my main phone and I rely on it in my work very much, so I'm trying to postpone factory reset as far as possible. I think I'll have not very busy day on Thursday so I'll finally reset it and reinstall everything.

factory reset did not solve the problem for me .. i am trying to find out what is the app/reason which keeps the device awake so that i can by any means avoid using it or something :/ .. but no one seems to have an idea .. can anyone atleast find out and let us know which app/setting or whatever is causing the phone to stay awake??
Hi, I bought my GS4 i9500 around 2 months ago, and few days ago while I was listening to music, someone called me and I noticed that the phone was a bit hot. I'm not exactly sure that that was the source of this problem.
Anyway, when I put the phone down, it didn't work, and after a few seconds it rebooted.
Ever since it rebooted it keeps doing problems - it reboots once in a while, the wi-fi doesn't work, and the touch is delayed sometimes (it doesn't respond for a while, and after a few seconds it suddenly responds to all the gestures I did over the last few seconds.).
I tried factory resting it, change frimware, clear cache and everything, and still nothing worked. It still does these problems.
I took it to the store where I bought it and they flashed it, and still it didn't solve it.
The problem is I rooted the phone, and I'm afraid the warranty won't be accepted if I send them the device.
Anyone knows what the problem might be?
Sorry for my bad English.
Thanks.
It worked for me to go fully back to stock. Maybe give that a shot,

Noop, sorry man. when i did go fully back to stock it went off... i think its a warranty problem here.
well, i'm currently dealing with the problem too, it automatically boots itself, my reception goes off, eventough im not in a dead spot. but: it only happens if im on ~20% battery. i think its a softwaresided problem. im running on the normal stock touchwiz with android 4.2.2.
im gonna send it to the operator, maybe it really is a warranty-sided problem.

Sent to operator, unfortunately the warranty has been expired (probably because I rooted), and they want ~450$ to repair it..
Hopefully ill find some solution.

Hi.
I have been having very strange issues with my battery, and I hope that there are some people here who know about the hardware more than I do and might be able to help me.
First of all, the battery indicator is unstable, it can show me 49% of battery and suddenly tell me there is only 10% left. I am attaching a screenshot of my battery stats where those spikes are visible.
Or worse, the battery indicator might suddenly jump to 0% and make the phone turn off, then when I turn it on it shows that it has at least 25% left.
Second problem, I very often can't charge the phone. I connect the charger, and the notification LED doesn't light yellow, instead, the whole battery menu just disappears from the settings so I can't access it... And after a few hours it might begin actually charging, then the menu is visible.
Battery temp always shows -30 degrees celsius, or some similarly impossible temperature.
After trying to switch to a different kernel (from unleashed to hells core) and to a different rom (from purity to android L and liquidsmooth) I decided this is an hardware problem and bought a new (hopefully original) battery on ebay.
I installed the new battery. Now it does work a little bit better, but still, the problems persist.
Is there anything I can do, before buying a new phone?
It doesn't have warranty anymore, it's one and a half years old.
Thanks
Definitely battery failure. Replace the battery or buy a new phone
Sent from my Nexus 4
This is most definitely due to a faulty battery, so time to get a new phone. At least Shamu's release is right around the corner.
Hi
Thanks for your help.
I did replace the battery a few days ago, and the problem still persists. Which makes me think it's something else.

I'd try comletly stock rom, and see if the issue persists.
Yup, stock ROM always first step, then replace battery. If it still persists, than it is most likely some other hardware issue that might not be worth it to replace.

Exactly same situation with my Nexus 4. Battery being replaced and it's not better. Just ordered a Moto X 2014 and waiting for it.
I tried the stock ROM. And it didn't solve the problem. Is there anything else I can check about the hardware before replacing the whole phone?

Have you just flashed a stock rom, or completley restored the phone to factory settings using google factory images?

Hmm unfortunately this leaves me without any ideas. May ask how old is your phone and did you drop it previously?
It's one and a half years old, and well, I did drop it a lot. However, I always used a good case (ringke fusion) and I don't recall any recent drops prior to the time the problems started.
I'm on Marshmallow 6.0.1 DPE6. I've just done a factory reset to try to resolve this issue, but with no success.
In my Battery Usage under Bluetooth I get a reading for 'Time On' like the attached image. Even though bluetooth had only been on for 1 hour, it's giving a very inflated 'Time On' of over 1 day. This will continue until Bluetooth shows as having been on for many days, even though it has only been a few hours.
I have a Moto 360 (2015) and a Sony SBH52 Headset attached via Bluetooth. I've tried connecting only one or the other, but it doesn't make any difference. I have no other problems, except for the inflated 'Time On' reading in Battery usage stats. Interestingly, I have GSAM Battery Monitor installed, and it gives a correct reading for Bluetooth Time On.
Just wondering if anyone else has the same problem, or if anyone has a solution. I'd like to know if this is a firmware bug, or if it's just me experiencing it. Thanks!
I too did a factory reset which fixed a lot of problems I was having. As for the Bluetooth, I have the Asus Zenwatch 2 and have not experienced what you have stated. Maybe reset the watch and headset

Thanks for your comment. Sorry, should have mentioned that I already reset everything when I factory reset the phone. Perhaps this is specific to the N910C Exynos ROM 6.0.1 DPE6? I see DPF6 is out in some regions, so I guess I'll wait for that and see if it fixes it. No big deal anyway, as it doesn't seem to be affecting anything - just my OCD
i have the same problem with 910F.
Do you find a solution?

Nope, now on DQE5 (as of today) and I still get this odd reading. My phone uptime at the moment is 3 hours, but Bluetooth is showing over a day in battery stats (see attachment) - doesn't seem to have any adverse effects though as I still get 5+ hours Screen on Time and the actual battery drain from Bluetooth is pretty minimal. Just a weird glitch
for me is not like this.
The battery stats says 184mah and seems to have effect on my battery drain

Hmmm, sounds like it could be a different issue then. Sorry, as you've done a factory reset etc I'm not sure what else to try - unless you have a rogue app or Bluetooth device that is causing the problem.

nope, because it happens immediately after the factory reset.
Maybe some "samsung" updates or play services..i don't know.
I will try to install another firmware
