Audio issues - Redmi K20 / Xiaomi Mi 9T Questions & Answers

Hi guys can anyone here knows how to edit the props configuration on Mi 9T? i have a Audio issues what i mean for that is my Mi 9T has no source of sounds.
from Mi 9t running on PE plus rom

Just replied you to the other thread where you asked the same (about using Magisk Hide Props Config or TWRP for changing props)
There is one more way - use SetEdit app from Playstore. But if System is read-only (like on stock A11, I don't know for your PE ROM), then the app can only read props, not write them
Again, you must be very careful, you must well know which props and why you want to change and you have to have backup ready if anything goes wrong
Good luck
(Do you know it's not the hardware issue with your audio...)

The same issue was encountered with me also. I am in great distress right now. Tried more than 30+ ROMs (including recover, fast boot, custom, and stock), but nothing helps.
IF you find anything please update here.. THat’ll be a great help indeed!!

Final info about possibility to enable Camera2APi on MiNote3 without root

Hi,
I read a lot in this forum and in other sites about the possibility to enable Camera2API on our fantastic MINote3 phone but, at the end, I don't understand if is possible to enable che Camera2API WITHOUT root the device. Can someone give me a final answer about this question ?
PS
If the answere is "yes, is possible without root", then other questions are:
is ok this method https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-a1/how-to/tool-google-camera-root-magisk-enable-t3747585/page10 (see post 98) or is only ok for MI A1 ? Are there other methods ?

If you can install TWRP you can enable it without rooting your system, as TWRP has root priveliges while it is running.
Here you can find a zip file to flash in TWRP to enable it.
I have used it.

Yes, I have done it myself on Mi Note 3 running the latest Xiaomi.eu weekly 8.4.26.
I have also done it on Mi Max Prime, Mi Mix, and Mi Note 2.
If you had read the whole thread you would have seen my posts.

Thank you soo much for all your informations.
Only one question: is necessary to flash the twrp on the device or is enough to load the twrp via the command "fastboot boot twrp.img" ?

It "should" work to only boot into TWRP without flashing it.
That is if you do not want to install TWRP, just use it once.
The next time you reboot, your new TWRP will be gone again.
I have not tried this myself.
I will try the procedure where I only boot twrp (without flash it) then will try to enable camera2api parameters on built.prop and also change permission of this file (with su permission).
I will update this thread with a feedback about the operation
Hi,
finally I enable Camera2API on Mi Note 3 (with last official global rom) WITHOUT root the device. These are my tasks:
- unlock the bootloader (with MI official utility) and lost all my data
- flash TWRP Red Wolf then run it and, to give the right access to the partitions, I wipe and format my device from the TWRP menu and reboot the device
- Then, from TWRP, I install "HZQ_MIUI_Camera_Mod_CAMERA2_API_170824.zip"
Thanks Cobben for the good informations
PS
Now I use GCam5.1.018-Arnova8G2-V1.2.apk and run very well. The quality of the night shoots is better a lot respect xiaomi default camera
I add that with gcam the videos are better that xiaomi cam:
- less nois
- better color
- much details
Then, at the end, gcam become the main camera app on my device (and I will use xiaomi cam only for boken effect or camera zoom)

Hi, I installed the Xiaomi.eu rom and installed also the Google camera (v.7.9.4 - everything is working correctly even the Slow motion). I can say that the Miui camera is on par with Google camera or a level down. The Miui camera uses the algorithm in the open-source Gcam app. You can try the Xiaomi.eu rom which is based on China rom - it is great.
In my case instead I use the last global 9.5.3.0 and gcam is the best

Now some words from me,
Hi I am Omer, I own a Mi Max 3 and Huawei Mate 20 X.
today I ordered a Redmi K30 Pro Zoom Edition and therefore I am going to be a part of this community.
I am going to update this thread with any upcoming update, just like I did for Mi Max 3 thread.
I am also going to buy a Black Shark 3 Pro for daily use but that phone cant be unlocked.
I hope you enjoy your phones!
if you have any questions feel free to ask!
by the way:
In order to improve the communication performance and stability of the mobile phone, will be upgraded the Qualcomm baseline - Redmi K30 Pro will be suspended from May 25. It is expected to be suspended for about three weeks. This upgrade does not affect the stable version.
Great job!!!
Thanks for doing this like it should be done. I tried but my tutorial is **** compared to this. Cheers ?
Okay, my Bootloader is unlocked and i did the install the current (may 24th) beta version of the xiaomi.eu ROM.
The installation was a bit rough around the edges: The currently available TWRP comes from a chinese developer and starts with chinese language. You can't read a thing.
Fortunately, i have used twrp so often already that i remembered how to change the language without having to read the buttons.
Having installed TWRP via fastboot, i booted into it, changed language and formatted the data partition under "Wipe". Then i connected my pc, transferred the ROM file to the phone and installed it.
I was a bit disappointed that my dear F2 changed it's personality immediately: it identified as Redmi K30 Pro from the first boot on. I know this "problem" from my Mi 9T Pro where the xiaomi.eu ROM changes its name to Redmi K20 Pro, but there was a patch in xiaomi.eu's K20 Pro forum that reversed this effect when flashed via TWRP. This kind of patch does not exist for the Poco F2 as of now, so i guess i'll have to live with it.
Other than that, all seem to run well. First boot took a couple of minutes, but Installation went smoothly and phone is restoring my configuration and installing all my apps right now.
Magisk 20.4 is installed and working. Let's hope that new beta versions will appear next week.

Im pretty sure this is because they are based on the china rom which is available for the redmi k30 pro/zoom
If xiaomi can differentiate between zoom and regular editions on kernel level (they share same kernel and same rom), Im sure that xiaomi.eu forums will be able to create a patch for poco if needed.

Hello mate, i was trying to install it to my f2pro and it all ended in bootloop, it is mandatory to wipe the data partition before installing the rom? Is there any tutorial? I tried to install it twice ending in bootloop and having to install the official rom with the xiaomi rom tool.
Thanks!

Hello there,
In the installation instructions it says what to wipe and what you shouldn't wipe. I think you need to go back to stock and try again.
Cheers ?
Wow thanks for this! Need to wait for a week for Xiaomi to unlock my device (such a bummer as Oneplus don't have this waiting game). Any how, I hope (like it's brother K20 Pro/Premium), there will be AOSP, Lineage and PA flavored roms that will support our beloved Redmi K30 Pro/Zoom/Poco F2 Pro.
Thanks for your efforts on making this thread!
Great to see the development for his device has started .
Does the MIUI Dialer also have the build-in call recorder?

In my experience (also from my Mi 9T Pro before), you not only need to wipe the data partition, you even need to format it (can be found under "Wipe" in TWRP) when coming from stock rom to xiaomi.eu for the first time.
Once on xiaomi.eu ROM, you can install newer versions by dirty flashing: no need to wipe your data partition, your apps, data and settings survive.

Thanks for confirming. I can finally unlock my bootloader today (had a waiting period of 360 hours..), guess I'll flash this rom directly after that since my device will be wiped with unlocking now anyway.
Did you use the TWRP from this tread?

I'm not sure from which source i downloaded it, since it was some days before my bootloader unlock time ran out, but the file is named "recovery-TWRP-3.4.1B-0328-REDMI_K30PRO-CN-wzsx150.img"
At the moment, this seems to be only working TWRP for the Poco F2. Since it comes from a chinese developer, you have to change the language to English first, unless your fluent reading chinese.
To do that, you have to pull the slider on the bottom of the start screen to the right, then use the third button from the top in the second column of buttons (which is the "Settings" button) and then use the small globe symbol in the upper right of the screen.
Hi all, i want to report one bug:
Whenever enter to a game with full screen mode and play it for a while, the full screen gesture can not be use any more. So i have to press power button to lock my phone(game is running) then unlock the phone to come to the game. Here i can use the gesture as normal.
Yep

i read on the xiaomi eu forum that on one of the weekly roms, the mic was not working on calls https://xiaomi.eu/community/threads/no-voice-during-the-call.56159/ . Can you check if the mic works if you call somebody? I am just waiting for my unlock timer to end and want to install xiaomi eu.
As im writing this, the new xiaomi eu stable miui 12 came out, just for your information. The problem with the mic was on miui 12 so i hope they included a fix for the stable version before rolling it out.
Unfortunately, the stable MIUI 12 is not yet for us. Just for MI10, MI10Pro, HMK20MI9T, HMK305G.
No beta
No beta for this week either, links for the 20.6.16 were published and there is nothing for the K30 Pro neither the Mi10 nor Mi 10 Pro

need a resseruction remix or lineage os rom without magisk and root preloaded.

hello everyone.
i have tried a few custom roms on my samsung galaxy grand prime sm-g530H and discovered the rom that works best with it for me is this version of resurrection remix - https://forum.xda-developers.com/gr...om-resurrection-remix-n-5-8-3-galaxy-t3596669.
the problem is its preloaded with magisk management. even after uninstalling magisk through twrp, i am not able to run some important indian apps (eg - m-adhaar) because they still detect my phone as rooted. i have already tried unrooting but that didnt work. magisk is not able to hide root from some apps that i need through magisk hide and other methods i have read about on this site either.
can some kind soul please provide me a link of a root-free rom of resurrection remix or regular lineage os? preferably android version 7 and/or 8? thank you in advance.
my phone specs :-
samsung galaxy grand prime
sm-g530h - A.P - XXS2BRLI
CP - XXU2BPB2
MSM - 8916
p.s - i changed the update script in the roms to install from boot without magisk but of course it still installs the magisk management.:cyclops:
also - magisk hide is not working for one particular app- https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=in.gov.uidai.mAadhaarPlus
HI,
These Apps have problem with the custom rom too ( normally) and they are able to recognize the custom rom in both case. It doesn't matter rom is rooted or not.
So You have to hide this thing with Magisk or ... .
Is your magisk passed the safety net test successfully?
If it passed then I can't help you anymore and if not try this one:

actuall yes. thats the last rom i tried. but its not stable on my phone. display keeps turning off and phone becomes laggy too. which is why i have mentioned that i need version 7 or 8 n particular.
as for your mention of these apps having problems with custom roms, i am not sure if thats entirely correct or not because i have tried other roms which are fine with the apps but not stable for my phone in particular. so theres my dilemma.
as for magisk test...yes. it passes but hiding is not working in 1 particular app. also my requirement is non magisk and/or non superuser preinstalled rom if i can find one. maybe you could help me with that? as long as the version is 7 or 8.1? coz 9 and 10 are not running properly on my phone ( lags). i am kind of limited in using internet for a couple of days...so its hard to thoroughly search for one. which is why this thread.t hank you for your reply and help

I tried a few Oreo based custom roms and this is the only stable rom that I found in internet . Which is a really great rom but it doesn't work for you because Rom will be rooted during the installation by Magisk 16.3.
I don't have any informations about 7, If You have Telegram Account , There is a Grand Prime 530 group. May be you can get a better help there about Android 7.

thanks a bunch bro. i have tried this already though. along with magisk, it has some issues like powering off instead of restarting and a little bit of heating - at least on my phone - if i remember right. anyway i will check out the group after creating an account on telegram. only 1.5gb of usage left today on my phone. thanks again. much appreciate it.

hi bro.
after a lot of frustration, i tried this one again with bitgapps. turns out that the other versions of gapps were making it lag. its running nicely on my phone. it didnt have magisk installed or supersu for that matter. but some apps still showing that 'you are on a rooted device' or' you are using a custom rom' msg.
so i installed magisk again only to be able to surpass detction for the one particular app i needed and it worked ( yippy!). but other apps, for eg - whatsapp etc still detect the device as custom rom or rooted. so i am still looking for a way around it.
also particular rom shows the msg on startup saying -' there is an internal problem with your device. contact your manufacturer etc. am just ignoring the pop up msg for now.
the rom ( which is android version 10 ) is running surprisingly smooth and fast though.
i wish there was a way to get rid of that msg and unroot the device completely ( doing it through superuser pro and magisk unintsallation - with uninstaller zip and through manager didnt work).
so well, there it is.
As do i

I saw it on most Android Pie and Q custom roms which i tried. I think it's something about kernel or Rom. There is a video on YouTube about this issue, He solve it for an Asus phone which didn't work for me.
For the record, did you hide Magisk manager and chose a nick name for it before hide root from other apps with it?
yup. i did.

this video you mention, is it the one where he sets ro.treble to false from true? if yes, then i downloaded build prop but my ro.treble was already set to false by default. i was really hoping that would work. lol. alas! let me know bro.:good:

I don't know this is useful for you or not . By the way it's an other stable custom rom . ( Oreo based ) with 2 small bug but on safety test, CTS profile result was false for me.

It is a long story that why I made this mistake but since there is no official Twrp for fortunave3g I installed the Pitch Black Recovery for fortunave3g then I flashed a Lineage 17.1 for fortunave3g with it. now everything is fine and I don't see the internal problem's notification any more . Also I should thanks itexpert.120 for helping and his custom recovery.

ah, i see. i used to get error 7 on the latest twrp even after editng the updater script. so i switched to twrp version 3.2.x. then there were no errors while flashing any roms. do you think changing the twrp version or doing it again through pitch black recovery might solve the issue for me? also, please tell me if pitch black is as good as twrp in backing up and restoring. coz i have had to do that a lot. zeeshan(itexpert.120) told me to just ignore the error. hehe. but i cant do that!:cyclops: let me know bro.

Actually the main problem was with my rom not custom recovery . But I had to install a correct custom recovery for installing the correct custom rom.
Pitch Black has the same features even more. Actually It based on Twrp.
I can't be sure, but if you've seen Error Seven when you using the Twrp 3.4 , then there is a good chance that you've installed a wrong Custom recovery. on the other hand I had camera problem which seems you don't have it.

Install via USB not working in developer option

Hello everyone,
I have Redmi note 4 Snapdragon version miui 8.10.0 MCFMIDI global stable. I was having problems with external Sd card dislodged abruptly so I did factory reset (soft reset) through twrp and restored all my apps now I am facing lot of difficulty in developer option Install via usb is not working,It says temporarily restricted, I don't know what is happening because of this I can't use Titanium Backup (Lost all backup in factory reset). I searched Internet couldn't find solutions somebody says user Vpn and connect to China server etc etc,did lot of things but still not working.
I also can't sign out of mi account also. Screen shot attached.
I want also want to know could this be that India has blocked Chinese apps including Xiaomi Mi community app.
Please anyone can provide solution.
Thanks in advance.
Best Wishes
I know its a quite old post but if anyone faces this issue install the latest version of miui global rom and flash it.
Thanks a lot for taking the time to reply even for an old post. I am quite comfortable with the rom I am using. Searching the internet and xda itself I found that this problem occurred in the later versions of MI rom also as lot of people were complaining.
Using RN4 Now as a backup phone with still a lot important data in it which I can't experiment with flashing Rom as I am not that an advanced user. In past suffered huge data loss due to flashing Rom and some other experiments.
Thanks a lot again for the reply. Really appreciate it.
Best Wishes Tc
Its always risky i myself lost lot of data in my redmi 3s prime. It was such a pain

[GUIDE][POCO F2 Pro] How to change POCO F2 Pro's cameras to Redmi K30 Pro Zoom

EDIT1: Thanks to Telegram users @Andrea900 and @valentinosantos I was able to fix a few incorrect indications I gave. If anyone has suggestions please don't hesitate to comment or message me.
POCO F2 Pro and Redmi K30 Pro have a lot in common - so much, that they are exactly the same phone. The K30 Pro, however, was launched together with a Zoom edition, with improved camera hardware. Now: is it possible to get that hardware on the POCO F2 Pro, and make a homemade "zoom edition" out of it?
The question is fascinating, and the answer is: yes! With few exceptions, it is possible, and the result is great!
I'm about to guide you through the process, but first let me say a word about myself.
I'm very new to XDA, and I essentially subscribed to participate in a thread that was discussing just the topic of this guide. The information was confused, and since I'm inexperienced I felt very lost. But I was determined, and worked my way into this hardware and software stuff that I never handled before. Now, I'm ready to try and tell others what I did, and how you can do it yourself.
Here's all you need to know in order to change POCO F2 Pro's cameras to Redmi K30 Pro Zoom's. Please bear in mind that almost nothing is originally mine: I'm just collecting info and commenting it with my personal notes. I'll give all the credit to who owns it every time is possible.
PREMISE
First and foremost, you must check the lot your product comes from. I haven't tested it and I haven't many sources on this, but chances are that if it's too recent it might not have some of the parts needed on the motherboard to implement OIS. If so, you'll need to solder those components, which is something I will not go through in this guide. Keep in mind that the production was ended in Sept 2020, so if your phone has been produced in August or Seprember you may have this problem. You can verify the batch through your IMEI - google is your best friend here.
Once you're sure your phone will be compatible with the mod, you need to have the cameras. You may find some on eBay or on AliExpress: I bought them from an eBay reseller. Once you get them, in order to verify that they are indeed those of the K30 pro zoom, you can very easily check for OIS on the main and on the 3x lenses.
Now, before putting the new hardware on the phone, you need to go through a bunch of software passages. The reason is very simple: when you mount the K30 Pro Zoom's cameras on the POCO F2 Pro, it will recognise itself as the former. This implies some limits:
unlocking the bootloader won't be possible anymore (unless you get back to F2 pro's cameras)
EDIT: I've been told that some were able to do it, but info is not super clear on this;
SafetyNet won't pass and you won't be able to use any banking app, Google Pay included.
EDITED: It has been confirmed by many that the reception of 4G/5G bands does not change with the swap, whichI initially believed it did. No worries there then!
For some banking apps, passing SafetyNet does not suffice however: you need to have phone recognised as European. I have no clue why, but my bank is one of them. For this reason, I'll also guide you through the process of changing the fingerprint of your phone back to that of POCO F2 Pro, which is only possible if you have done all the rooting and modding stuff before changing the hardware. Keep in mind that you might not need it!
In the following you may find a complete guide: keep in mind that if you're experienced you may find many things redundant. I'm inexperienced, so I noted them down anyway.
THE SOFTWARE PART
This part guides you if you, like me at the time, are starting from original MIUI Global (or any MIUI that is not China). If you are already mounting MIUI China, you can skip step 4, but the process is still the same.
However, if you have already an unlocked bootloader and you are mounting a custom rom (such as Xiaomi.eu o MIUImix et cetera) you can skip to step 7. But if that's the case, this guide isn't really for you mate: you are good to go! Make the hardware swap without worries
Backup through Google One and by copying pics and videos on the PC. Barbaric, but efficient. Just copy it back to the phone later. Remember Whatsapp's backup if you use it. Also, use Xiaomi Cloud if you intend to stay on a MIUI based ROM (as this guide will invite you to do).
Begin Unlocking Bootloader process. It takes 7 days so do it as soon as possible, don't wait to have the cameras with you. The process is very easy and you may find many guides, but I've followed this:
The tutorial omits one last passage: once you've unlocked your bootloader with the tool, you'll have to restart your phone and do a set up, in order to unlock (again) the developer options and the USB debugging. The first time you start up your unlocked device, you'll be asked to log in to your Mi Account as the very first thing, so keep in mind its password and email.
Install ADB and Fastboot tools on your computer. It's basic but you need them. I've used this guide:
Flash the China ROM through fastboot. [EDIT: I've been reported that this might not be needed. It was for me: flashing xiaomi.eu from Global sent my phone in bootloop. Refer to your custom ROM of choice for official info on this - and xioami.eu does say that flashing from China ROM is preferable] I suggest you follow this guide as it's explained well enough. I DO NOT recommend going through TWRP as it bricked my phone, and TWRP in general gave me lots of issues. Guide:
Flash Xiaomi.eu through the process they suggest. Remember: use the one they give you, do not go through recovery, as again recovery bricked my phone and many others as far as I know. If you want to go through recovery, use LineageOS recovery (see point 6). Guide:

xiaomi.eu
Install a custom recovery. This is not something you need now, but rather something that may help with keeping Xiaomi.eu up to date (as it's easier to flash updates through recovery). I suggest you use LineageOS Recovery. You can find the recovery itself and a guide to install it here:
Redirecting…
--> Step 7 and 8 will guide you through the process of passing SaetyNet. This might not be necessary, because xiaomi.eu theorically should grant you pass it automatically: I personally needed to do what follows. Even if you pass SafetyNet, sometimes banking apps still won't work. If so, go ahead with these steps.
The first thing to do will be to install Magisk and use it to root your phone. I suggest you DO NOT FLASH IT as a .zip, but rather use the process that the developer suggests. To me, the only version of Magisk that worked was Canary, but others have had success with the regular release. The different releases are the same thing, just in different stages of development: canary is the "alpha", more or less. You can find very thorough instructions here:
GitHub - topjohnwu/Magisk: The Magic Mask for Android
The Magic Mask for Android. Contribute to topjohnwu/Magisk development by creating an account on GitHub.
github.com
The installation instructions are found by scrolling down; the latest releases are on the right.
Once Magisk is successfully installed, you can use it to fix your SafetyNet stuff. In order to do so, you'll need to do 3 (or 4!) things.
go to settings and hide the app
go to settings and activate zygisk, then activate "enforce denylist", and in the denylist add:
Google Play Services (you'll have to make them appear by clickinG on the three dots on the top right and selecting "show system") --> snet --> check the mark
Banking apps (if you have any) --> check the mark
download the Magisk Module "Universal SafetyNet Fix" and simply install it. Follow the link here to get the file and more info:
GitHub - kdrag0n/safetynet-fix: Google SafetyNet attestation workarounds for Magisk

ONLY IF YOUR BANKING APPS STILL DON'T WORK
download the Magisk Module "MagiskHide Props Config" and use it to change the fingerprint and the BASIC Key attestation of the phone to POCO F2 Pro Global (A11). You can get the Module from here:
GitHub - Magisk-Modules-Repo/MagiskHidePropsConf: This tool is now dead...

And you can follow either the instructions given by this post:
[GUIDE][POCO F2 Pro] How to pass SafetyNet on Android 11 and Magisk on Xiaomi.eu ROM
1. Install the latest weekly or global firmware in twrp. (without magisk) 2. reboot. 3. complete the first setup. 4. reboot to recovery. 5. install latest magisk canary (now the latest stable version is v20.4, but need higher) 6. reboot. 7...
forum.xda-developers.com
or you can follow this guide, which contains one difference (it's explained as to change the fingerprint to Pixel 3a) and which also includes the next passage (the 8.4 in this guide I'm writing):
How to Pass Magisk SafetyNet on Rooted Android 11
In this tutorial, we will show you how to pass the Magisk SafetyNet test on your rooted Android 11 device with Hardware attestation type.
www.droidwin.com
If you were able to install a regular Magisk version, enter the app and verify SafetyNet; if you've installed Magisk Canary, simply go to Play Store and install a Safetynet Checker: you should pass the test, and your banking apps should work regularly.
THE HARDWARE PART
Do the hardware swap! I've used this teardown video to help me go through it:
Beware of two things that frightened me:
Both the motherboard cover and the motherboard should come out very easily. If you have to force it the slightest, check for screws you've missed! One is under an orange "mi" sticker, for example, one one is a weird "screw in the screw" of silver-ish colour
You must have both the motherboard and the motherboard cover screwed in in order for the phone to turn on. You can't just plug in the connectors and make a rapid check: you must screw everything together
EDIT: some have asked if the plastic caps have to be left on the module, and my take is they don't. They do offer protection but it's mostly for transport: once inside the phone, the lens are pretty much protected by the back glass. Plus my plastic caps came in scratched so leaving them on would have been stupid. They are quite well glued tho! So don't worry if you have to apply force to remove them.
EPILOGUE
I hope you've found this useful. Please let me know if any passage might benefit of further clarification. I know this is somewhat "rough" (there are plenty better guides on XDA) but I think I didn't miss any fundamental passage.

Hi! I bricked my phone and it went into bootloop. Plus xiaomi.eu explicitly states on their website that the ROM is made to be installed from China so it's really best to just follow the instructions of the developer

I don't think you really need to flash xiaomi.eu. Any rom that supports lmipro should suffice. I will try LineageOS when I received my hardware.

Xiaomi.eu is the one I suggest but yeah different roms have been tried out and work just fine
Just a quick PSA >>>
I was one of those 'early adopters' of the cam module switch, purely relying on comments in russian in Aliexpress. As such, I switched the module before unlocking the bootloader, resulting in mismatched specs, causing the dreaded 'Coudn't add. Device basic data verification failed' when trying to add the device to my account. A few weeks ago while waiting for the MIUI 13 update (& on the latest Poco F2 Pro 12.5 stock EU Rom), I installed the MIUI Downloader & downloaded the following ROM for K30 Pro / Zoom devices.
I installed the rom using the following steps
Transfer the download .zip file to your phone, and ensure you place the file in the “downloaded_rom” folder in the internal storage of your device. If no such folder exists, create one in your internal storage base directory.
On your phone, navigate to Settings > About Phone > System Update, and then press the three-dot icon in the top-right corner, and select “Choose Update Package”. If the “Choose Update Package” is not visible, you need to tap on the MIUI version logo 7-10 times.
If the “Choose Update Package” option is missing, tap on the MIUI logo 10 times to activate the option.
Choose the downloaded .zip file.
Wait for the update to install.
The phone booted normally on MIUI 13 & just for the sake of it I added my MIUI account & attempted to add the device to my account. Miraculously it worked! By following the steps mentioned in the OP (big thanks @CMCarlo ) I just made my first payment w/ Google Pay since about this time last year. Hope it helps
Peace
With MIUI by xiaomi.eu 13.0.2 it's work well.
Poco f2 pro change to k30 pro zoom edition After change hardware cam.
Thanks you

I missed this information prior to purchasing the K30 pro zoom module, which I now have. I've also waited the 7 days to be allowed to unlock the bootloader. My question is, how does one determine their batch number or production date from an IMEI number? I've googled but haven't had any luck figuring this out.

The bootloader has to be unlocked to flash the rom. Xiaomi.eu passes safety net & the device appears to be certified in Play even without rooting the device. Having said that, I did proceed with rooting the device because there were a couple of apps the required it, but I can't say that Wallet was one of them. Theoretically, if the device is certified in Google Play, you shouldn't need root for that.

Thanks for that. I have no interest in the xiaomi.eu rom and want to stay with official ROMs (eg K30 Pro Zoom - Global Stable ROM). Do you know if this would actually be possible though? I asked earlier and heard it is, but not sure on the path to get there from the latest Poco F2 Pro Global Stable ROM. I'm yet to swap my camera and have noticed since unlocking the bootloader, my gpay via NFC no longer works. If I manage to flash the global stable K30 pro zoom ROM, would locking the bootloader perhaps allow the device to pass whatever checks necessary for gpay, or would doing so cause bootloops?

I'm not really sure, but I guess you could stick to the first steps of the OP tutorial. That is, unlock bootloader & then flash the latest chinese ROM for the K30PZ. You might or might not need rooting for GPay to work, depending on whether your device appears to be certified in GPlay. Keep in mind that you might also run into issues with DRM in specific apps, like Netflix (L1 winevine) or problems with banking apps. Generally speaking, the most troublesome part of switching cam modules is being able to unlock the bootloader. Once that's done, there are many options to choose from, although I'm not sure what's the best approach if you wanna stick to stock ROMs. Btw, xiaomi.eu is basically a stock ROM, simply optimized & overall better performing. As always, proceed with caution & please don't blame me if you brick your device..

Thanks. Hopefully bricking isn't an option for me. My biggest worry about the hardware procedure is breaking a motherboard ribbon or stuffing up the glueing when sealing the case closed. I'm actually quite worried about it. How difficult did you find it?

It's definitely not for the faint hearted, but it's not very difficult either. You need the right tools though, gun heater, tweezers etc. I admit that I did it with a friend's help, but it can be done alone too, just be careful and don't force anything. The brackets holding the module are tricky, keep that in mind. If you haven't changed thar hw yet, I would definitely suggest unlocking the bootloader first.
If anybody thinking about changing the cameras, here's a link. Arrived yesterday, already changed. The phone specs says my f2 pro is now a k30 pro zoom edition, macro option gone as i expected.

Thanks ! I ordered one for myself, let's see when it arrives.
Planning to replace battery at the same time and make my backcover transparent.
Also not sure about which ROM to use, currently on global MIUI with locked bootloader, don't feel like using xiaomi.eu since the security patch is outdated ( global just got an update )
Probably I will have to use a non MIUI rom since Xiaomi is abandoning this phone but I need a super stable and reliable one
