Hello, so I was installing android x86 and I installed it through my USB after pressing fn+12 then after it would prompt me to format something forgot what I canceled the format I think. Now everytime I turn on my PC I get redirected to Trusted Grub 1.1.5. These are the screens I get the top one is after turning on my PC and the second one is pressing enter on Android-x86 8.1. I don't know what to do to fix this problem I was just wanna be able to launch windows 10 again.

Windows 8+GUID+Chameleon

hi
why windows 8 are no booting when I install chameleon under mackintosh?
Doubt it's even supported yet.
Windows 8 boots fine from my ~2 month old SVN build of Chameleon (I installed it on its own partition and unplugged the other drives while installing) in addition to Win7 and 10.7.2...?
I can't see why it would be a problem; Chameleon is only chainloading Windows 8's bootloader anyway.
I use iboot to get Mac up and running.

Hi
It appears that chameleon will not work with windows 8 unless the windows is install in MBR. why i said this because it worked for me when windows was installed in mbr drive and mac on 2nd guid drive. the moment i changed windows drive to GPT it refuse to load when selecting chameleon unless I click on F12 upon boot and chose windows drive then it works fine.
I am going to move windows partition to second drive and let you know soon

Or just use a boot CD like rboot to avoid all the hassle...

[Q] Missing Press any key to boot from cd or dvd

Hi!
I was about to install windows 8 64 bit but when the installation hung up I realized that the dvd was corrupt. So I tried turning off my PC, but when that didn't work i turned it of manually. But when I tried again the "press any key to boot from cd or dvd" was missing. After that I tried to boot from BIOS with a windows 7 dvd, but that didn't work either. So now I installed windows 7 through a USB. And when the installation was finished I found out that the CD drive worked fine, I cud use it like nothing was wrong. so it doesn't work on BOOT but in windows it does
So my question is how do I fix this? How do to get the "Press any key to boot from cd or dvd" to come back?
Is this somting That I Can`t fix, are there anny thing wrong with the mother board?
seriously... Bring up the boot devices list and select CD/DVD Drive. or use USB if available.
You can press F11 while starting up to choose boot device...........
And then DVD drive
I have tried to boot up from the CD/DVD but the system skips it.
Something like fast boot enabled on bios?
Go into your BIOS settings and disable all of your boot devices except your CD/DVD drive... should be able to force boot to CD/DVD?
Are U installing on PC or a Tablet, if PC then post it specs.
if Tablet then which one.
Also Search/Google for windows development preview forum and find out ur answer.
Ur problem may be due to corrupt ISO or DVD as i also faced this problem, so downloaded the ISO again and problem solved.
Try running it in Virtual Machine for its integrity if u can.

instead of booting it from the DVD, why dont you just try it from the Flash Drive?

Win10 Mobile / RT on the Pi 2?

So, I have got a new Pi 2 sitting next to me.
Seeing as we now have a Windows bootloader (10 IoT) can we bcdboot another drive / flash over the Windows 10 IoT image with Windows 10 Mobile or 8/8.1RT recovery images from other devices?
I know there would be very little drivers but it would still be "fun" to try....
After hearing elsewhere 8/8.1RT require HAL extensions then I think 10 Mobile would be easier - I will try flashing the Pi IoT image and working from there...
Thanks,
- androidonlinx
So, I've tried copying over the Windows 10 Mobile MainOS partition to where the Windows 10 IoT MainOS partition was. No luck and it just bootloops, outputting a black screen for about a second before not outputting anything for a second, looping forever. Small amount of SD activity shown by the activity light.
Is it possible I need to copy more partitions? I have also tried copying over "data" but would you also need the 30-ish other partitions too? However, to copy them you would have to convert the SD to GPT, which the Pi does not currently boot from so you would need to figure out how to boot from a external drive.
The 10 Mobile image I'm using is the Xiaomi one - would it be that I just need HAL extensions? How would I add these?
Thanks
Microsoft has a great resource on their github, entitled "Set up a Raspberry Pi 2" so check that one out.

nuvision windows tablet tm800w610l

hi i have a nuvision windows tablet tm800w610l,couple days ago when windows updates installing blue error screen come and i think say(ssd error) after that windows not booted say(bcd error),so i downloaded windows frimware from website and put in bootable flash and connect with otg to tablet(via simple hub for flash and keyboard)now i have a problem with installing new windows,i think usb speed is very very slow,it cant boot windows for installing(take 20-30 minuts just on the windows install loading screen)after that black screen and nothing happening,im tested other bootable iso files but speed is very very slow i cant do any thing.im searched net some people think its on bios setting, some think usb hub is problem(before that i have a another windows tablet and installed windows via same hub)
so i dont know where is the problem,in bios there is very very settings i dont know which setting must changed.
thanks.
had to reload mine from scratch worked fine with a OTG hub, keyboard , mouse and flash drive .

Just an FYI, the version that’s currently on the Nuvision website works.
It’s not an iso, at least it doesn’t download as one. I took that file and created an iso and used a usb bootable maker to create the usb drive.
It recognized it upon restarting in advanced mode. The installer is in another language but it got me up and running again.
Just wanted to put this out there.
You can use the NuVision image if you wish (You just extract the RAR to your USB drive and then boot it in your tablet), or you can create installation media using the Windows Media Creation tool (or UUPtoISO if you want to use Insider Preview downloads from another machine).
As long as you use the correct processor architecture, you don't need the NuVision restore package (It's also out of date and no longer supported by Microsoft as it's version 1511, or maybe it was 1603 either way it's unsupported as of now). Some drivers maybe, but a lot of those are available via WU (I've never had to actually install any drivers doing a clean install from a Windows ISO).
This also applies to the NuVision TM800W560L, any 32-bit image will boot and work properly for installing Windows. If you look into installing 64-bit Linux on the W560L though, it's a little more complicated (yes, you can install 64-bit Linux, but not Windows. This is because the Linux kernel can replace UEFI Runtime Services if it needs to, which booting a 64-bit Kernel with a 32-bit version of GRUB causes UEFI to disable access to Runtime Services, which is why Windows cannot run like this and bugchecks with UNSUPPORTED_PROCESSOR.)

Useful Links for installing Windows fresh

Some useful links for those reinstalling Windows 10 at any point:
Builds - http://mdluup.ct8.pl
This uses Microsoft's UUP (unified update platform) to fetch specific full builds. Choose from Retail or Insider builds. At the time of writing selecting 17134 from the retail channel will get you the newest non-beta build with minimal Windows Updates following installation. Just specify x64/86/ARM, edition and language.
Using the blue Aria2 button will give you a zip which, on execution, will download and create a usable, full ISO for personal use - despite the use of the words "cumulative update" on-site. Just follow the instructions on screen. All images are compiled using Microsoft's internal imaging utility so they're close to what you'd get with a precompiled MSDN ISO.
MSMG Toolkit - http://m.majorgeeks.com/files/details/msmg_toolkit.html
This provides a frontend for component removal utilizing the official Microsoft DISM utility.
Use of this is straightforward and can remove Apps, Windows Features and components from an ISO.
Tip: Once you've mounted an ISO, open a separate command line and run DISM.exe /Image:<path_to_image_directory> [/Get-ProvisionedAppxPackages to get a full list of Apps in the ISO. Copy and paste the output, placing it in the provided RemoveAppsList.txt, removing any lines you want to keep.
Using install_wim_tweak.exe tool will also get you a full listing of all Windows Packages, most of which can be safely removed with zero side effects. NTLite can be a useful guide but its commercial software, so you won't be able to remove all the components you see listed if you install it.
AIO boot tool - https://www.aioboot.com/en/
This tool creates nifty bootable USB sticks that come in handy for booting anything. I recommend the precompiled WinPE 10 images which allow you to use a Live PE Windows Desktop (I.e. it has a full GUI) from a USB prior to installation. This should alleviate the need for making bootable USBs in future. As it's the same platform used during a conventional booted Windows Setup so you can run the setup once its loaded in, format hard drives, etc. Or actually use it as a desktop, I guess. It has its limitations.
DISM++ - https://www.chuyu.me/en/index.html
Post-install utility, you can thoroughly clean up redundant internal Windows folders, remove Apps, activate popular regedits and whatnot. Very useful.
Blackviper - https://github.com/madbomb122/BlackViperScript
Power shell script that makes running services in Windows slightly more efficient.
If people are interested I'm happy to create a tutorial to making your own properly-serviced Windows ISOs for those who want new builds of Windows with less to none of the Microsoft extras .
