Hi, I've some problem with wifi connections. I own a lynksis wag54g2 wifi router. I can establish a connection, but after some times (it's not standard, it may vary), my device disconnect from the router and it's not able to reconnect. All that i can do is plug off my router (i take off the ac adapter) and when it's up again my phone can connect. it's very frustating, but i don't know what to do? i've tried setting something in wifi preferences' on my phone but nothing change. i've also flashed my firmware to the new one, hoping that it could fix that problem, but it didn't. someone could help me?
you can update the firmware to a newer one. this would fix your problem.

I have a problem with WIFI on Galaxy 5 (i5500)(Europa) too. They have already changed my phone with new one, but the issue remains. So, for the second time now, I was able to connect my phone to my router for the first time, but after the first interruption or disconnection of WIFI I could not access to wifi anymore.
When I enable wifi in the phone starts ''connecting'' but then reports ''interrupted'' eventhough the signal is recognised as strong.
Firmwire version is the latest available. Router is encrypted with WPA2. Also I can access to router with my HTC Tattoo (Click).
Does anyone know the solution?
I have a decision to make(today), becouse If there is no solution to this I will change to another phone as I still can (Galaxy Spica).

What router do you have? have you tried with any other wifi network? i said that because my have this problem only with my router, and not for example with my girlfriend's one.
I found a little fix for my router, linksys wag54g2: open up the config page (192.168.1.1), go for wireless tab, select protection page and click on save settings. that reload the router and my phone is able to connect again.

Thanks for your advice. There is some problem with router.. When I restart router the wifi on the phone works until swiched off or interruption becouse being out of range. When I try to connect to wifi again does not work unless I restart router again. ..catchy.. Interfering with mobile connection also makes the drop of wireless connection on my computer, so I need to restart router. I don't know the permanent solution. If anyone has any idea how repair this forever please let me know.

Here is my problem with my wifi with the galaxy 550.
For security reasons, my wifi network can't be detected (invisible). If i want to connect a new device by wifi, I must first set my wifi visible and then register my device.
Then I set my wifi as invisible again and the device can connect automaticaly to my network without "seeing" my wifi network.
Problem is that once i set my wifi as invisible again, my galaxy fail to connect because the network is unvisible.
Is there anyway to fix this ?
I have just read similar post on another thread and replied find it here
I ahvent installed anything, perhaps its to do with the handset if its locked to a particular carrier? just a guess and a question...

I have an answer! Hope it works for you.
My provider gave me really easy solution for wifi connection not connecting even though it was my own network with all the right info. It worked great the first time, then for some reason the phone locked in the "off" position. So I removed the battery to reboot (later learned the right way by pushing the volume button on the left and the power button at the same time)
Anyway, try this....
turn phone off - remove battery - remove sim card - wait a few minutes - reassemble - then the network should log on with no problem.....Good luck!

I have a problem about accessing internet using wifi. I connect to network, it's ok. But after nearly 30 seconds i cant access internet anymore. My phone says everything is ok, i am connected to my modem, my internet connection is ok but i cant use it on my HD before turning off- and on- my wifi. But i can only use internet for a short time again.
I tried hard reset but everythings is still the same. I am using BlackstoneHenge max stability&speed rom.
So what causes that problem? What should i do?
have you tried turning off your router and turning it back on after a few minutes ?
also try and set the wifi signal strength of the blackstone to performance and not battery. that way, the signal will be stronger and probably not drop. i had the same issue yesterday after flashing another rom, without setting it to full performance, the wi-fi would constantly drop signal and even when i was connected, it would not access the internet properly.

i disabled power save mode of wifi and set to performance mode as you suggested. my problem looks solved now, thanks so much

The wifi signal where I'm at is really weak and I don't get service at all. Wifi calling works every now and then but its off and on cause of the weak signal. My laptop has Intel My-Wifi and I got it set up to work with my phone. It connects for a few minutes, but then disconnects and I have to turn wifi off and back on (on my phone) to get it to connect again. I tried turning wifi sleep policy to never but that didn't work. I read in an Intel forum that someone said it disconnects without assigning an IP address. Not really sure how to fix it. Has anyone got My-Wifi to work, and if so how? Thanks in advance.

Bumping this. I just set up Intel My Wifi for the first time, and both of my Android devices keep losing the ability to transfer data. I keep having to turn wifi off then back on again.
If your connection is encrypted, try making it an open connection. If it works, you need to try different types/levels until you find one that works. If not, try changing channels.

I seem to be connected to wifi or hotspot, but I cannot receive any data. The page opens the you first connect. However, after that, ten seconds later the internet connection is gone (by the way it seems connect to wifi). Does anyone have a solution?

As I mentioned in the previous post, I had a wifi connection problem. For now, I have solved the wifi problem in an interesting way. I have a YT9612c model device. I disassembled the device and checked all the connections. In the meantime, when I removed the GPS input, I noticed that the wifi works without any problems. However, the internet connection was lost again after connecting the GPS antenna input again. I have now removed the GPS port and use it this way because the internet connection is important to me.I have now removed the GPS port and use it this way because the internet connection is priority for me.
I reported the situation to the seller. Let's see how we will solve the GPS status.

I have a Wifi problem with a YT9213AJ tablet.
I bought it to install in a boat and go fishing, I bought a SonarPhone SP200 probe that connects via Wifi but there is no way to maintain stability in the connection, with other mobiles it works well but what I want is to see it on the screen of the boat. Everything works perfect, except a problem in the WiFi when the connection does not provide internet access as is the case with this link. Constantly (every 30sec approximately) it drops the connection and reconnects automatically and then, disconnect from the APP.
I have tried all the possible configurations of the WiFi and the versions that I could of the firmware for the YT9213AJ (until having to restore a dump by leaving it as a brick with no sound or lights in the bones “thanks iceblue1980 for your post - [SOLVED] YT9213AJ and YT9216B - Full brick recovery / custom mods - ROOT, TWRP, VIPER4Android— “)
Are there any settings for that version that fix the problem and always keep the WiFi connection even if I don't have internet access?
