Dear all,
I tried to flash a Nexus 7 2012 (3G) with lineage 14.1. It worked, but I have problems with installing GAPPS. I used open_gappy-arm-7.1-pico-20210533.zip and also copied the recommended fiel gapps-config-grouper.txt in theInternal sotrage where the zip file is located. Nevertheless, I obtained s not sufficient space error during installation, although the txt file should avoid thsi problem.
Does anybody has any tidea to solve that?
Mayn thanks

Hi,
Backup all data before starting anything new.
All coredroid roms come with detailed installation instructions.
Place the coredroid rom ZIP on the root of your sd card.
Flash new partition,go to CWM ,wipe data, cache partition, dalvik(advanced)>install zip from sd card>choose zip>install>reboot
Thanks....the installation description was for version 1.12....your description worked fine....thanks!
Hi there,
I have encountered a problem when i want to flash a custom rom.
I installed all the neccesary software, however when i want to instal the zip from sd card i keep getting an error that says that the zip is bad.
I have tried different roms and I have encountered the problem over and over again.
Can someone help me with this?!
Thanks,
Bojan
how are you moving the zip to the sd? because magldr usb transfers corrupt larger files.
also, it usually helps to write a brief step by step of what you have done so far. Don't just say 'i have downloaded all the software' and assume that everything you did so far is correct, because 9 out of 10 problems are user error, and very often its an assumption that causes the problem.
Also check your rom by double-clicking the zip file (no need to unzip unless you want to), a good download will not record errors upon opening the rom's zip files). There are instances that a download is bad and yes copy the rom through a card reader. :good:

No any error, whenever I start copying, progress bar of copying is stopped on 50% to 70% and after clicking on that zip file windows start zip file copying again and again
Today I have rooted 2 nexus 4 devices, 1st was successfully installed caynogenmod 10.1.3 and working normal and 2nd device cannot copy any .zip files,
I can't understand exact problem, Windows 7 stop copying after some 50% or 70%, and if I open that copied zip windows 7 start copying again and again, I tried another method, I sent cm-10.1.3-mako.zip from my another Android device to nexus 4, then I installed cm-10.1.3-mako.zip successfully, after installation CM-10 device is just booting, and cannot complete boot. just booting and booting, and I copied cm 10 zip from my desktop, but progress bar shows "copying from C:\Users\INDRAJ~1\AppData\Local\Temp\WPDNSE\SID-{10001,,13874577408}"
I did not understand why windows copy zip file form WPDNSE folder, this folder in temp, the original copy source is from desktop,
I have installed my stock 4.3 rom from CWM backup but now I can't download any app from play store the error is "Error while retrieving information from the server [RPC:s-7:AEC-0]"
Can anyone PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE Help to fix this problems :crying: :crying:
(Sorry for bad English)
hello,
i have a problem when i copy files via usb cable from my pc to my device.
it only occurs if the files are a little larger. i use a custom rom on my g2 and if i want to copy the new version of the rom to my device (181 mb) copying stops just before the end and i have to cancel. Then i have to reconnect my g2. After that i copy the rom zip again and its successfully.
but if i copy gapps (83 mb) its directly copied successfully.
i have the problem on now two custom roms and the problem was not always there only for some time.
and i have tried it with usb debugging enabled and disabled... same problem.
any suggestions to solve the problem?

which Rom you're trying to flash? make sure that the zip file is right, or is there another zip in the zip file?
Solution found - automatically opened zip files in safari

I think I have found the solution. I figured there might happen something with the zip files after they are downloaded when my Mac OS X Yosemite opens them (I re-compress the folders usually and transfer the new zip file to an external SD.) So I turned off safe opening on safari preferences, re-downloaded the rom (this time: Pac Man ROM), flashed, and it worked like a charm!
So either you're running Mac or Windows, auto-expanding might cause trouble with the zip files.
I hope others will find this helpful as well.
Merry xmas!
