Porting Android L

Dear Developers,
I saw a few days ago that the Nexus 5 got a Developer Preview of Android L.
I wonder if it's possible to port the Nexus 5 rom to the Galaxy Note 3. Since the phones are very simular in specs.
The Developer img can be find here: http://developer.android.com/preview/setup-sdk.html
If this would be possible, i would thank the dev a 1000 times.
Greetings, Paul
From what I understand is that Android L is still under heavy developing, I don't think we'll see a ROM for Android L in a couple of months. Besides, even if we would, it would be buggy as hell I believe.
That is more of an alpha build and it's mostly for developers to give them an early idea how the os runs, so they can port apps before the official release is out.
The final version will most likely be out with the nexus 6.

Will android 7.1 (dev preview) be rootable?

Hey guys,
I'm thinking about rooting my phone to get the pixel experience (android assistant, navigation buttons etc). But since android 7. 1 developer preview is on the doorstep, I think it might be better to wait a bit longer, because it might not be compatible with the current root methods. So, what do you guys think? Will the current root methods work on 7.1?
What we guys think? This is a useless post. And it's raining outside.
When it comes we'll see, obviously. cheeez
There's already a thread about 7.1.

I guess your guess is good as mine. Too early to know.
If I were a betting flasher, then I would say "yes"!

Andoid 9 Pie Stock and Light (google pixel experience style)

Hi everyone !
I'm new in the modding field, thanks to everyone for the work you do. I was wondering .... is there an Andoid Pie Rom, clean from any "useless" service, and similar to the google pixel 2 experience?
I think this device is still very valid and should not be thrown away... Make Redmi4Prime Great Again

Android 9 or 10 ? Pros & cons !

Hi all,
I usually move to new version as soon as i can, waiting like a child to play with new features.
For once, i do not see really the point of moving from 9 to 10. Some roms for our lovely device seems pretty good and stable, as always made by our beloved devs with love and passion... but i still don't see the pros to upgrade.
Can you make me change my mind ?
Android 10 is the best thing happened to android eco system. Smooth and stable than any other android version available. It is gonna be a game changer when we have it for RN7 with MIUI. For now, I recommend everyone to try PE 10 Beta.
The roms with android 10 have not the customizations I need (ex. smartbar) therefore, for now, I stay without any problem on my pie superioros. Actually android 10 doesn't seem a big revolution, so I can wait.
Pixel Experience android 10 is smooth and nice.
Sadly I think google is falling behind in innovation. There really is no new features that make it any better than android 9.
I installed MIUI 11 (xiaomi.eu) and was surprised at how much better it is than googles stock android.
Can't wait for a new type of OS for our phones that is not using google, i think everyone is bored of google products and living in the past.
Very differents point of view regarding Android, stock and google : very interisting to read this.
Thanks for your replies guys ! Hope we'll have more.

Questions before buying

Hi. I really think to buy this phone after using my LG G7 per two years. I have some questions:
1. Its now works on Android 10 and if will be second update to 11?
2. I knew that color os aod has no info about new messenges or calls so any update making aod more customizable?
Thanks in advance!
Hi bud.
I just got the Reno Z.
According to news outlets Android 11 is arriving in Q2 2021.
About ColorOS, I like it a lot more than MIUI. I haven't even needed to put Nova launcher on the phone as the ColorOS does everything I need. I read the Oppo are working with Google to make ColorOS 8 even more like stock Android, which is welcome news.
