Great work man!
@cha0scl0wn Great job bro! It is a pleasure working with you to bring OneUI 3.1 Port to M30. Looking forward to work on more future projects with you.
I installed this Rom. Everything worked fine but somehow my samsung bootlogo changed to hutchison 3 bootlogo. Now I can't get back samsung logo. Don't know which partition it got saved in.
(Edit: Found & replaced files in the location. It's inside omr partition. omr/res/media. The rom is from Ireland so maybe in India it pushes those boot logo qmgs in that directory itself when you setup your device for first time.)
@Akhil99 Very Very good work and Keep it up ..

Yes, I noticed that. Also, there is no always on display. I rooted and tried to push Aod in system/priv-app but magisk is not working properly in this rom. Tried magisk v22 stable and canary but rooting doesn't work properly. Maybe we have to wait for sometime for new magisk version.

Yes this is using an Ireland Product package. You might encounter some branding popping up. Will be taken care of .

1.Hotspot not working at all? Please send me logs, I will take care of it.
2.I never faced slow Bluetooth pairing, was fine for me.
3.Very low Call Volume, none of the 4 testers reported this, check your earpiece speaker and get it replaced.
4.Adaptive brightness is a part of Samsung Camera Framework, might never work due to Samsung Camera issue.
5.Use OpenCamera or any other app for regular clicking pics and video capture. Read the telegram changelog once before reporting bugs, I have clearly mentioned the Samsung stock camera app is NOT working.

A40 does not have AOD feature. Pushing only the apk does not work, it needs some more files.
Since I am shipping a permissive kernel which magisk is known to have issue with rooting might cause some unknown issues.
An enforcing kernel should fix this, will be released soon.

Hello my friends.
I think its a good idea to offer this simple guide and explanation for new Xperia and Android users about how to play with their new toys.
I will add new stuff to the content when needed.
First I want to start with the kernels and recovery.
Kernels
WTF is a kernel?
The kernel is the communication bridge between software and hardware, is the most important part of any OS.
All OS have a kernel, even windows and iOS but since android its based on linux the kernel must be a GPL. So manufacturer must be public the source code of the kernel and third party devs can compile and modify it.
Now since SE decided to open the bootloader of certain devices (and the_laser find the way to do it to the rest ) we can use those nice kernels we are talking about. And this is how to do it.
You will need:
Unlocked Bootloader
This fastboot pack
A custom kernel (.img)
1. Unpack the Fastboot.7z on C:/. There are 6 files and 1 folder. Folder contain fastboot driver.
2. Make sure the drivers are running. Check this thread to see how to install it. Jump to "2. Install S1 Boot Fasboot Drivers..."
3. Inside the pack are 2 batch files (.bat)
1. Drop_here_to_boot_kernel.bat
2. Drop_here_to_flash_kernel.bat
Click to expand...
Click to collapse
The first one (1.) can be used to start the phone with the custom kernel to test. The kernel will get back to original after reboot the device.
The second (2.) its used to flash the kernel on the proper partition. This will persist after reboot (You can flash any other kernel in the same way to overwrite it)
To use this files you just need to drag and DROP the kernel in .img format on selected .bat file.
There will appear a window like this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Sometimes the window blinks and dissapear, in that case copy the .img file inside the fastboot folder and repeat the process.
Now attach the phone in fastboot mode.
Fastboot Mode: Turn off your phone, then press and hold menu key (Arc/Neo) or Search key (Play) and attach USB cable to phone. You will get a beauty Blue Light.
Click to expand...
Click to collapse
The black window will show how the kernel its flashed or loaded and it will close itself.
Now all its done, you have a custom kernel.
Custom ROMs
WTF is a ROM?
The rom is the software of our devices, the Android OS.
There are 3 kind of roms, Stock or Stock Based, AOSP and CyanogenMod roms.
Stock or Stock Based:
Are the official ROMs or the ones based on the original, with tweaks and stuff added. Normally this kind of ROM (Stock Based) are the most stable choices.
AOSP - Android Open Source Project
Vanilla android, like the nexus devices, its a native android interface and its the base of the next.
CyanogenMod & MiUI
The best custom roms out there. Great support and continuously improved, has unique features to enhance the customization experience. Both support themes.
How to install a custom ROM:
You will need:
Unlocked Bootloader
Recommended custom kernel with recovery
Recomended Baseband (Folder from FXP)
Custom ROM in .zip file
1. Copy the .zip ROM in the sdcard. Its better to put inside a folder (start called with A or Z to easy access.)
2. Flash the proper baseband with flashtool.
3. Now flash the custom kernel recommended for the rom. Check the first post to check how to.
4. Start the phone and boot into recovery. To do this you need a custom kernel with built in ClockWorkMod (CWM). In the arc you need to press several times volume down button to enter into recovery for example.
5. On recovery you should see something like this (maybe different):
To move use Volume buttons, to select use Home button
Select "Wipe data/factory reset". Confirm operation.
Select "Wipe cache partition". Confirm operation.
Go to "advanced" menu
Select "Wipe Dalvik Cache". Confirm operation.
Select "Wipe Battery Stats". Confirm operation.
Go back and select "Install zip from sdcard"
Select "Choose zip from sdcard"
Search and install the ROM in .zip format that you copy to sdcard in step 1.
That's all, you have the ROM flashed and ready to start.
reserved too....
THANKS
Thanks
i am testing cm 7.2 rc1 iyokan
in mk16
nice one thanks
I'm still new to all this, is this method any better or the same as using Flashtool (for installing kernel)?
Edit: nwm, its the same...
Sometimes the window blinks and dissapear, in that case copy the .img file inside the fastboot folder and repeat the process.
i can't do this.whatever i do,the window dissapears
But we have to format system also in mounts and storage..!! Before installing a rom.."

Thank u very much!
I've succesfully installed a kernel (Doomkernel v04) for the first time.
Followed the steps with neo V to try CM9 and I'm stuck at step 4 of installing custom ROM. The phone simply won't boot.
I have
-rooted and unlocked the bootloader
-installed CWM
-flashed recommended baseband
-flashed the supplied kernel
Any help, please?

Still the same problem... by the way, to add info about the original problem, I encountered bootloop after flashing the 62 baseband but I proceeded to flash the custom kernel anyway.

Try with .64 baseband.
That's recommended for CM9.

Another reason can be, that you've forgotten to format the system.
Before installing a ROM you have to do that too.

I should move a rom to your SD card, then flash a kernel and then flash rom in CWM.
Baseband is not very important. It has to do with the battery, signal reception, call quality etc.
is there any stable custom kernel for xperia pro?
I try custom kernel from this xperia pro ultima but it's not stable

on some of these roms that bootlooped I had to go back in and just do a wipe and it booted up.
So, I finally got CyanMobile running, and so far, its pretty smooth. Its only been about an hour, so I've just been re-installing apps, but so far, so good.
a new version of cyanomobile is avaible.
flash now...
Running mokee os.
Seems pretty stable, and battery life is good. 9 hours running Pandora over WiFi and still over 40% when I her home.

I've been running quarxs most recent cm10 build, and I tried wiping/flashing a couple of the cm7.2 roms over the last week. None has booted for me, so I'm doing something wrong.
My routine has been: Factory reset, flash zip, flash gb gapps, wipe dalvik, reboot.
I'm getting stuck at red m...
Any suggestions? I considered an sbf, but feel like that's always a last resort. Haven't been that desperate yet.
Seems like a problem I was having last week. I posted in the Bravo problems thread and Skeevy responded with this answer:
"Sounds like an ext4 issue. 2 things to try before sbfing. First factory reset from stock recovery, that's it. If that doesn't work then reflash CM10, reboot, go to boot menu > tools > file systems and select ext3. Reboot and flash whatever.
Your problem is nothing is getting saved to /data or /cache -- both of which is a problem when leaving CM10".
If that doesn't help, I ended up flashing the SBF and re-rooting. But I didn't try his advice first because I was in a hurry and couldn't wait on his response(wife was really mad her phone wasn't working all day!).
I managed to get some time this weekend to work on my phone. I had to sbf to get things working well. I had it boot once after formatting ext3 and flashing, but then I made a nandroid before attempting to restore data from a CM10 install and there was no booting or mounting /data after that.
Thanks for your help. I'm loving the smoothness and stability on euroskank!

I must say, I'm really impressed by the stability, responsiveness, and features of of the Skank version of CM7 - and I'm not sure who to thank for the builds! Who builds the roms hosted at the transtour ip, and who hosts them? Thanks a ton...

Everythings working.
Pre Installed Camera app fcs ( pre installed Camera is also very slow) Use Some Other Camera app It Works just fine.
browser fcs.
Sometimes it just gives you the error that browser is not responding and needs to be closed.
Sometimes taking screenshot only captures black screen.
other than that its working great.
Ghsr updated the device tree and kernal
@[OP] please mention in bold in the OP that it's a reshare and it's not your build.

Camera and flash light are working fine on the latest build of cdroid android 7.1 thanks to Ghrs for Kernel and tree updates and all the developers who put there effort to make it possible.
And soon it will be available for all Nougat ROMs.

Phone is rooted with supersu installed. Busybox installed correctly to system/xbin
OS- resurrection remix 5.8.2
Model- i9082
Installed viper4android guitarded hero via twrp recovery.
Deleted audio_effects.conf
But i see an issue
There is no /vendor/etc/ directory.
Etc folder is located at /system/etc
I have tried changing selinux status from enforcing to permissive. But same, busybox error occurs.
I have also tried compatible mode in viper4android, but still cannot install drivers.
Help please....
"The busybox installation found on your device does not work."
Can someone help me with it...or i think the problem is in the v4a zip file....
I cannot upload the screenshot due to screenshot bug in this os.
Flashed Resurrection Remix for the first time (had Lineageos 14.1) and the installation went smooth but after rebooting, the screen turned pitch black and stayed that way. Thankfully i still had the lineageos zip file on my sdcard, so i went to twr mode and flashed again lineage and open gaaps and now it's fine. But i really wanted to test this RR mod. Any suggestions to what the problem might be or how to solve the black screen problem?

nevermind bro, I'm sorry about your lost, I freaked out when phone didn't boot up, but after I do some crazy stuff here (like reinstall stock rom, factory reset and after this, install DWUI ROM the phone starts successfully! but factory reset/wipe data, dalvik cache and other stuff didn't work using TWRP, that's why the ROM don't boot here. so, sorry again, great ROM! (phone isn't that great, but xposed + supersu are awesome!) thank you again!!

Hi, how is the way to update from version 1.1.8, I tried by OTA, and ADB but in both cases, it is not possible.
Error 21 and ADB does not exceed 45% of installation.
I tried with Version 1.5.2
Thanks for your help

Not really, you want to do the update without relying on the Root, do you need the Root for the process or just facilitate it.
By ota you mean with the official message that takes you to settings right?
Or with the dialer?
https://android.googleapis.com/packages/ota-api/package/ae6c43b3022f2d554bd7a15e3dffb363e6b89000.zip
Download this, create a folder named
ota
in the root of your phone, place the newly downloaded file there without changing its name or extension
Open dialer and input *#*#682#*#* select the file.

Someone around here said 1.5.2 update is incremental rollout only for beta users , not for 1.1.8 users and this is quite logical .
All with 1.1.8 should wait for a new full stable A13 release which should come soon .
I wasn't enrolled in beta program but I flashed all those updates in right order through local ota and all went pretty fine . So be patient and wait , don't panic about those errors flashing updates files .
I trust in Carl Pei and the developpers behind him .
And that I'm referring to all who haven't alterated NOS , root or whatever . Personally I can't imagine why people root their phones . It can't be found any fine firmware , all have bugs , none has glyph working , you can't trust for further updates from them , banks or payments don't work and so on ...
Stick to native NOS don't brick your phones .
Im checking the files inside the ota zip, im looking at metadata.pb and metadata and maybe i've found the issue but im not sure since it's my first time digging through files.
If prebuild is what is checked before updating, then this ota is only for global devices, there should be somewhere another zip for eea
As you can see, the only device accepted in pre-build is spacewar, not spacewareea like there is in post-build
Im gonna move to the official thread for more info.
EDIT:
Yes this is the problem, there should be another zip file for eea devices somewhere but we have no mirror link for now.

They've got.it by getting the url with logcat so to get the eea one, one must have a eea phone, receive the ota notification, log it with logcat and share the url

Why people Root ?
Just in my case :
- Call Recorder (for my work)
- Adaway (AdBlocker by hosts)
- MIXplorer (have access Root path not only SdCard storage)
- MyAndroidTools Pro (remove/disable unwanted apps/permissions)
- Repainter (for choose color/UI/Material You)
- Simple Reboot (for choose Reboot mode on the fly)
- SmartHertz (for choose alternate refreshrate mode (60/90/120 hertz)
- SwiftBackUp (for easily backup/restore entirely a user/system apps)
- Viper4Android (for have a pure best sound in my device... so far)
It can't be found any fine firmware
I don't have any problem, just restore boot file from Magisk before update.
all have bugs
??? We have exactly the same OS like non root but with Root access granted.
Maybe you talk about Custom Roms ?
none has glyph working
Like i said before, we have the same rom like non root users...
And for your information (if you talk about Custom Roms) Glyph on Custom Roms in now fully working even on Custom Roms.
you can't trust for further updates from them
??? If you have NOS update, Rooted users also.
banks or payments don't work
Banks & payments (Wallet) working perfectly even with Root
I'm using my phone everyday for pay instead my credit card.
Stick to native NOS don't brick your phones .
False, if you want downgrade from 1.5 or simply make a true clean flash (because of Error 20/TimeStamp/Incorect Verify Check Signature) you have exactly the same possibility to brick your devices if you don't write / wipe properly the vendor / boot / recovery partitions.
A lot of people brick their NP1 because during flash process they don't have Wipe/Factory Reset their data (Encryption) between Official ROM / Custom Rom but a lot of other people brick their NP1 Between NOS ROM > NOS ROM process just because they have a bad ADB version on their computer during flash process or USB cable/port causing issues / errors.

1.5.2 is only incremental update for beta users. You need to update in this order for it to work = 1.1.8 => 1.5.0 => 1.5.1 => 1.5.1 hotfix => 1.5.2
It's easier to wait for stable rollout though.
