I've faced same issue. But in my case , my redmi 3s was completely discharged. Device was totally dead. Hence when plugged in or tried to switch it on the notification led was blinking red.
Solution: plug the charger in and let the device charge until you see battery charging animation.
I have a 10 months old Redmi note 3 phone. last night I connected my phone on charge (at 6% battery) and forgot to remove it. It was connected with charger for almost 6 hours. When I checked the phone , It was 98% charged, still connected but not charging. I removed the charger and connected again but it didn't worked. I tried using different chargers but still not working. I tried to connect with laptop, but nothing works. It looks like USB port is not working. Can anybody help me regarding the issue ?
My redmi note 4 (MIDO) was kept idle for some time with a battery percentage of 4. After some time it shutdown and wont get started even after connecting it to a charger. I have tried connecting it to a wall charger and through a usb port with a PC as well. And whenever it is connected to a power source a red LED starts blinking but still no other activities on phone. The phone doesn't show on PC when connected. Please help as what I can do. And if there is any way I can flash it without getting into fastboot do tell.
So my sister just bought this phone recently (The 3/32 Model) and she Immedietly got an update and so she updates the phone, she then plays it for a while and then charges the phone, but weirdly enough it's always saying "charging slowly" in the lockscreen, doesn't the stock charger suppose to charge the phone rapidly? I really don't get this. The phone was charging really slow and the weirder thing is I used my Lenovo P2's charger which has the same configurations as the stock charger (I think) and it did charge faster than the stock one. I've done things such as closing the recent apps, putting it on airplane mode, turning it off, but it still charges slowly
Is it the stock charger that doesn't charge the phone rapidly?
Or is it because the update?
I really don't understand

It is the update problem, I am also facing the slow charging issue.
Lenovo p2 is 24 watt charger , Zenfone is 10 watt charger .... It take 3 hours for my phone to charge with stock charger

I tried to close the recent apps and turn on the airplane mode and it's now charging rapidly after about a minute, thank god.
I think I had this problem before because of where I plug in my charger to a wrong socket.
Im still having the charging slowly problem.
Change the charging/data cable. I had the same problem.. I tried optimizing apps, aeroplane mode and switched off phone while charging phone but nothing worked. It took around 6 hrs to fully charge my asus Max pro m1. And then one of my friend suggested me to change the charging cable. I bought a new cable n it solved my phone's charging problem. Now my phone charges rapidly even when I'm playing game while using LTE mode. so guys try different charging cable with the original charger.
And if u want better battery backup.. do not charge your phone 100%. If you fully charge your phone.. battery will drain faster.
My phone is Asus Zenfone max pro m1, when i unplug my phone from charge, my phone takes time to disconnect or indicate the disconnection. The charging led time would take time to go off. Can anyone help me out

Turn off the switch of the charger and then unplug the cable.
