Hello everybody
I have a problem and I don't find a solution for this anywhere - here's the question:
The device is a Moto C Plus, that apparently have an issue with some malware, or something - so I decided to do a Hard Reset
I verified if this phone has a Google Account included in the session Accounts in Settings app - don't exist any registers.
So I have done a Hard Reset with no fear. But the device was locked, requesting the old Google Account of the device, an account that doesn't exist.
The owner of the device doesn't have this account. What I should do now? Flash the original ROM again? Maybe, but USB Debugging is probably off and Bootloader locked...
Does anyone have an idea to solve this problem?
Thx for u attention.
Sorry for my English, I don't speak this language normally.

Peace ALL,
Hopefully someone can please help me!! I recently purchased a used OP2 off of Amazon. Phone received was in good shape and looked brand new. The problem I have however is that I can't bypass the initial set-up (I think it has something to do with Google factory Reset Protection).
Whenever the phone is in the initial setup process its asking for a gmail that was synced to the device before it was wiped--which of course I dont have access to. Is there any workaround for this?
Any help would be greatly appreciated
i had the same problem as i got it second hand. The thing with me was that i knew the owner.
The problem is that the previous owner wiped the device from the boot menu ( the one that looks like twrp) and not from the in menu setting.
this is why it asks for a previous mail.
I asked for his mail and password ,logged in, went to settings did a factory reset form the menu and all ok.I dont know what you could do without his mail and password.
Maybe unlock it put twrp custom rom open it and then reset it to factory settings?
Does anybody know if unlocking bootloader and flashing the stock ROM will bypass Google Device Protection (not sure if this will work as i think the OP2 is already "unlocked")?
Someone please help
I am having the same issue. I've read how you have to wait 72 hours but I am not sure if it will work.

Damn... Issue... Smarthswitch does sometimes have bugs. Try creating a new google account to log in. Logging to your samsung account then might let you restore your data. Btw google how to bypass google login. There are many guides but I don't remember one right now.

I made a new google account but i had to make it on my desktop pc, cause i can't do on my j5. When i boot my j5 i can take the first three steps
1. the android welkome screen appears and i have to choose a language
2. choose w-lan
3. accept policies
And then google verification starts and i have to type my Email and password. When i confirm i get this error message on the bottom of the screen: Unable to sign in device due to a recent passwort change. Please try to sign in 24 hours after the passwort change performed
And i can't bypass it
Follow the realterm tutorials on YouTube (required Windows computer) and put a simcard into it. Managed to get my friends J500H from stuck on FRP lock to CM 12.1

If you've never used a Google account and your phone is new, you should not be asked for an account. When you turn on the phone for the first time a configuration setup appears which in one of its steps asks you to enter a Google account, if you have done and you have put a pin code the phone will be blocked when you try to alter the system. FRP is activated when you put a security pattern, pin code, or add a Google account. Before installing the twrp you should activate the oem unlock. In any case the phone is stolen, we can not help you with that. Xda has her rules. You can try using a box z3x, medusa, octopus etc etc.
I never use google accounts, why should i ? and the phone was bought through amazon. If you start the first time without any sim card, bypass the google account login and then put twrp on it. You get the same problem as i. You'll see. I don't steal Handys or buy things like that !

If you don't use Google accounts then it must be a very limited experience. Because most of what the device can do is based around Google.
How do you update apps? Backup contacts? Use YouTube etc?
Also it seems you missed out a bit of information above. It doesn't say you've factory reset your device which you must have done to get you in that predicament.
All you needed to do was reinstall the stock firmware to bypass FRP Lock. Wiping the device had compounded the issue.
Its great that you've fixed it, but at least you may realise the value of ensuring you have a working Google account.
My niece forgot pattern lock combination so what I did is to reset his device but I didn't know that he forgot his google account password. Now when I open the device it ask me to put the credentials from the previous google account before reset, I know the email but not the password and he doesn't know any answer for the questions that it ask when I try to recover the account.
So now I trying to reset the device completely by installing a ROM but it needs USB debugging enabled and obviously I cannot do that. What options do I have?

Installing a new ROM won't bypass the FRP-lock
Hi Guys,
I have a couple T580 tablets for my kids, and we had just gotten a new one for Christmas that I set up. I THOUGHT I had done everything correctly, but the new tablet is giving me the FRP Lock suddenly.
Any idea how that could happen? Is there any way to recover the tablet or do I have to do a original rom flash?
Thanks

Somethings not right. You don't "suddenly get an FRP lock". An FRP lock occurs only after you "factory reset" the tablet and don't know the google account login. And that is only if you hadn't enabled "OEM" in "Developer options". What makes you think it is the "FRP lock"? And if it is locked, flashing a ROM with Odin won't help. You'll still need the google account info to access the tablet.

Because this is what it says when I start the tablet...

I have a google account, and info, for the tablet. Not sure how I put it in when the boot process is blocked though...
My only thought is something happened with Magisk?

Again, unless something has changed, which I doubt, that is not the way the FRP lock works. First of all, you said nothing about having a custom ROM installed. But even if you did, the FRP lock would NOT prevent the tablet from booting. It would merely ask for your google account info when it did boot. Have you tried booting into recovery and performing a factory reset?
edit: Let me explain what FRP means. In early versions of Android, if your phone/tablet were lost or stolen, anyone could bypass your "screen lock" simply by booting into recovery mode and perfoming a Factory Reset. So Google came up with the Factory Reset Prevention lock. So if someone tried to use the Factory Reset, the lock would demand the google account login and password to access the tablet. So if you wanted to sell your tablet, you either had to enable "Developer options" and then use that to "Enable OEM", prior to reseting the tablet or put in a google account whose info you could pass to the buyer, remove your real account, and then reset.
In any case, the tablet did NOT show the message you are getting. I've bought several T580s on eBay that WERE locked, and none of them gave that message. A locked tablet would still let you install stock ROMs with Odin, but the tablet would still ask for the google account info. But the way around that can be found in this forum.

I dont think I do, its stock rom, but Magisk is installed which I believe is not a custom rom.

When I turn on the power, the screen comes on, and then says "Custom Binary blocked by FRP Lock" then the screen turns off. I have not tried a factory reset because I was hoping to find a solution without losing everything before I did something that could not be undone.
The only thing left is, I know samsung will (if detected) attempt to remove software. I wonder if it somehow tried to reset automatically and in so doing caused this.
A factory reset does not help in your case.
First option is: contact your person, who sell the phone. Because he must unlock this one in his Google settings.
The question is: how many times a wrong oe no account was insert, that the device doesn't start up till the possibility to insert the correct account.

You don't lose everything with a Factory Reset and what you do lose should be easily recovered from your google account backup. And nothing else could be done that wouldn't also cause a reset.

No one sold me this phone, I bought it new. There is no unlock option. The phone doesnt event start booting, the screen turns on says the FRP lock, then turns off.
Ab FRP Lock said, that the phone is looked via a Google account.
In a normal case, you can only unlock the device, if you insert the correct Account with password.
I don't know.. maybe you have insert 3 time wrong credentials... why the device give your not the possibility to unlock the device.
Try an complete wipe / factory reset out of the recovery menu, so that the OS can start.
The lock isn't away, but maybe you have the possibility to insert the correct data.
In Download Mode here is what I see:

Alright I just flashed the latest rom and that fixed it.
I now know a little bit about what is going on. When I got the tablet, I set it up for me. Then I discovered googles "family link" so I set it up again for my daughter.
Child accounts have FRP protection. I dont know what triggered it, but somehow it activated recently when it discovered magisk which I had installed some time back.
Now I am super irritated and over Family Link...
Hello everyone,
I got a phone Galaxy A 20 and called Boost mobile to sim unlock the phone, what they did.
When done I factory reseted the phone. Now when I try to add an account I got a "your phone was factory reset., type the password to unlock it. If I bypass the request I get "This device was reset. To continue, sign in with a google account that was previously synced on those device."
I don't have those information, is there something I can to to really reset the phone and not get this message?
Thanks
This means that your phone has google lock, also known as FRP (someone forgot to log out from google account). It is possible to bypass it (i successfully did it on Lenovo Tab M10, Lenovo Tab 3 7 and Nokia 5.1 Plus), but sometimes it can be difficult. According to this video, you can enter settings by crashing the setup wizard app. I think installing Apex Launcher is unnecessary, you can search for the Pin Windows feature. I didn't tested it, but I think this should work.
