I have a PCX6 12.1" head unit. I installed it in a Tahoe and lost my internal sounds.. Doors, Low Gas, etc. I know these tones are sent as requests on the canbus. I would like to write something that accesses the controller on board and listen for these messages. If these messages show up then play the corresponding alert tone. Can anyone help me understand if the API exposes this and how to access it?

Personally I like FCC Launcher on play store and support can be found on different thread. You can use the default dialler of the launcher for your phone calls. Am/FM software I now use GMRadio instead of the stock app. You can find this a thread on here. DAB+ app look for Dab-z-player on the play store by Zoulou. Support in a separate thread on here. ADAS I can't advise as it's built into my dash cam.
As far as Navigation software I use sygic and here both on play store. Both don't need data unless you want traffic reports.
Anything else have a nose around the forums.

Thanks for your post. Where did you find that GMRadio, I would also like to try it.
Thanks
Thanks for the feedback
I'm also trying to find a link to GMRadio.
Please, more apps suggestions are welcome.
I'll get the obvious out of the way: HeadUnit Reloaded.
My Joying came with ZLink, it was extremely unstable, I tolerated it for a month until I found HUR. Fixed all my issues

As far as I understand in that thread that app is only for MTCD/E units.
Thanks for the links.
Here goes my first draft for the list. https://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/Android_Head_Unit_Software
Please keep sharing more software you know. I will like to explore more "Bluetooth - Sync - Phone Call" software to replace the one I have.

It seem you have missed my radio app for multiple devices NavRadio+:
For MTC units thread:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/an...t/dev-navradio-ported-to-mtc-devices-t4048899
For TopWay based units with Allwinner T3,T8 and Intel TS9:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/an...its/dev-navradio-app-allwinner-units-t4024701
The app is the same for all those devices, it can recognize the device type and adapt its functionalities.
There is a basic free version and a paid version on playstore.

hi,
I tried your version but it's not working with my autoradio "Junsun" Android 10.
I am very interested in your app as I cannot (like the others) install any car launcher as they don't find the radio app (nor the phone app).
Do you plan to also take in charge other material ?
thanks

Oh I have the same question Tried many times but unable to.
Hello everyone. Not sure where this question belongs so I´m posting it here. I´m looking into getting nav data out of GMaps into the can bus. Has there been any development? I´ve seen a thread from someoone feeding music title info and some other data to a Volkswagen cluster. Looking to do the same for older Mercedes vehicles. But so far no luck regarding navigation data. If there is development I hope someone can push me to the right threads.
Cheers
Chris
Hello,
sorry for my bad English.
Have anyone 6315lcdconfig.cfg or 6523lcdconfig.cfg or 6521lcdconfig.cfg for this type of display?
(L10P8-MIPI-SAT-ICN9707_720X1280)
Or maybe somebody know how to find this kind of files?
Google is not friend for this search definitely.
Thanks in advance,
best regards!
Does somebody know where to find this kind of file or how to generate correct one?
Is there some tool like generator or editor?
Screen is total black, only backlight is turned on.
File 6523lcdconfig.cfg which I've got with firmware from seller caused this situation. Look at attached picture.
(clnpL10P8-MIPI-yt10-SC7705_720X1280_HAIHANG 20200615 15:37:24).
Yes, I know that I've done mistake, but now is too late.
I don't need to say that seller now trying to avoid any answer to me.
Please help me with this issue...

Thanks for info. This is "Head Units/Android Auto General" forum and my question is related to FYT 812 based head unit. Can you tell me please where to post my theme?
Regards
You're asking about a head unit which runs Android as an operating system. This forum is for Android Auto, which is completely different. Try https://forum.xda-developers.com/f/android-head-units.4267/

Oh, thanks. Just reported your post as off topic. For the OP, it made sense to point them in the right direction so they know where they should be posting, don't wonder why their post moved, and a mod isn't bothered.
Hi there,
I bought a XTRONS PSF70MTVL and I've been trying to change the phone and radio apps to something better since the stock apps are really awfull and limited.
I couldn't find anything that worked, either wouldn't install or wouldn't work...
Any thoughts/ideas would be really appreciated!
Thankx!

So sorry, didn't realize I was posting on the wrong place
Its an MTK unit. Ive had one too and suggest to you buying a PX6 for 20 bucks more. Its completely locked down, you cant even read out the serial number. Which is a travesty security wise.
Hi,
I recently purchased a usb cable for my android head unit and the lead doesn't work. I didn't buy the unit so I don't know the brand etc. The unit was in the car when I bought the car.
I'm guessing the wires that plug into the usb connection are in the wrong order. I have no way of finding out the correct order. Does anyone on the forum know the correct order or even show me a picture of their usb cable.
I've bought 2 cables so far, neither of them have worked and they cost close the £100. It's very frustrating that I can't get them to work
Thanks in advance
