So, I've installed a custom rom for this phone so I could use it as my test phone but it ended with my sister. Some days ago my sister asked me to reinstall the stock rom so I was going to do it. I downloaded official stock of its model but I could not because the recovery wasn't recognizing it. I tried a lot searching for 7 days after the it but I couldn't find it. Yet today I tried it anyway with a z00l recovery (worst thing I made) and installed a z00l stock. I was happy cus I was thinking I finally found it but when it boot up it was like that boot logo mirrored, like if it wasn't on the correct resolution and was trying to fit the whole screen. After that I thought "Well, if I find the stock recovery and boot img and finally flash the stock, this will dissapear, right?" and now I'm here stuck with this dumb mistake I've made. Also, I was trying to install "UL-Z00T-WW-1 16 40 1524-user" but because of the wrong recovery it said it isn't Z00T, it was Z00L, so I installed "UL-Z00L-WW-21.40.1220.1698-user" and it got like this. The whole thing is with this weird resolution bug. I'm really sorry if something is hard to understand, I don't know yet how to speak english so well.
worst case scenario, you should be able to access fastboot and install twrp.
just install the correct twrp and use this method https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/all-variants-restore-back-to-stock-firmware.3333482/

Ok, I'm sure I installed the correct twrp and firmware and it did work and boot up but the screen is still on that weird way. I also noticed that brightness and the home, recents and back buttons aren't working TwT.
this guy had the same problem and now its fixed. https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/solved-ze601kl-need-help-to-find-stock-recovery.4254519/

I'm not sure if you do it via fastboot or via RA, and which one I download. Anyone wanna help me out please?
I tried a few via RA and none of them work. Maybe I'm not downloading it right? I'm not quite sure.
OR maybe it's because I'm on the desire alpha 17 maybe? I have no idea, I've only flashed one radio a very long time ago and that was when I first rooted my phone. Do i have to wipe always or Am i really just mentally retarded.
I got mine in .zip format and flash via the recovery screen. Radios (ok, at least in my understanding) do not effect the rom at all. There is no reason to wipe as it is not related to the rom. I have tried all three today and yet to find one that seems superior where I live
Which one did you download? I ask this because for the latest radio theres all those choices and the one I tried gave me the Android out of the box thing and then booted immediately into recovery. So...help would be wonderful.

Modaco has it in their forums: http://android.modac...insecure-himem/
The radio update.zip is near the bottom. The update.zip can be flashed from recovery. Just save the file to the sd and flash from recovery. It will reboot to htc screen then have to reboot once more.

See I did flash that image via recovery and instead I got a android out of box thing. You know how when it starts up You get the little nexus icon with the locK? I didn't even get THAT. It then immediately booted into the recovery.
(Funny story. First time i did it I thought i bricked it, and I literally started crying a little bit. I was freaked until i looked back at it. Embarassing )
Hello all,
Today I read a lot of posts here about rooting my phone because I was done with the stock UI.
I went for it and now I think I made a mistake, I would like your help. I read some similair posts, but I cant find a true solution for my problem.
My goal is to run CM 11, I have a stock LG 802 config with 4.2.2.
My steps were as followed:
- I used towelroot v3 wich was succesful
- I installed and ran D802 autorec (wich i guess was a bad idea). I got to recovery mode and I wanted to back up first.
- I made a back up of boot and system
- After the back up, I had to reboot
- NOW its stuck in a boot sequence to nothing. Just a light green and blue. I get the logo and I can get in the stock recovery it seems. Should I reset to factory settings?? Is that data still present?
I hope I can go from there, but after my major fail Im afraid to try it.
Thanks a lot in advance!
Update
I can get into download mode and LG Support Tool finds a phone, but the specs do not match and the update states that there is not any update available, wich there is.
When I get into recovery mode I can get into TWRP and I should be able to continu the process with flashing and wiping. The CM mod and Gapps are already on the internal memory. But I am really afraid.
For the record I did not flash or wipe anything yet, except for running Autorec and rebooting after prompt.
The real question for me is (I guess), is Autorec really unsupported with 4.2.2?
I would like to go on with the process, but I also would like to go back stock if needed in the future (hence the recovery back up I made with TWRP before the bootloop.)
Thanks again for any help what so ever
A couple weeks back I deleted the OS off of my phone while messing with TWRP recovery trying to install a custom ROM. I looked around the forums and i got my phone to the point where It booted into a stripped down version of android with stock recovery on it, although everything was mirriored and backwards. But when i tried to install the stock rom for my LeEco S3 with stock recovery it got stuck i a boot loop and I couldn't turn off the phone or boot into recovery or anything. So i let it keep booting until it ran out of battery and died. So then i decided i would put the stripped down version back on and start again.
So I went back to my sp flash tool and reinstalled all the partions except the boot and recovery partitions (according to the steps on the forum) but my phone still wont boot into anything, it is completely black and wont boot into recovery or fastboot, and im running out of ideas on how to fix this phone :crying:
After pretty much giving up all hope of fixing my phone, i figured i would try the format option in the flash tool and then reinstall all of the pattitions. I selected format all flash, not doing proper research first, and now i cant even reinstall partions, I get a STATUS_BROM_CMD_SEND_DA_FAIL error anytime i try to flash the partitions.
can you at least get the phone to fastboot mode?

No I cannot, The screen is completely black and nothing comes on at all if I hold down the power button.
well damn, looks like a soft brick, it can be repaired but not gonna lie, it is a pain in the butt...

I have already looked through that thread, and i have done everything up to the flashing process, and then I get a STATUS_BROM_CMD_SEND_DA_FAIL (0xC0060003) Error. I looked it up but the only option I haven't tried to solve the issue is to remove the battery, which i cannot do currently because to remove the battery you need a heat gun to remove the screen to get to the rest of the phone. I think I've given up all hope on fixing this phone and may just begin saving for a new one.

Help, pls I got the exact same problem... Pls any solution to it... I have been at it for a month now no solution, help
same problem. after twrp flash x626 not boot
So earlier I spent hours trying to fix this with no luck. I downloaded probably over 12 different roms, same thing. I've posted on the questions forum for help and we still couldn't figure it out.
It would go right back to recovery, so I was curious and flashed AOSIP custom rom and it booted right up!
From there I downloaded the stock recovery.img, flashed that. went to wipe, tried wiping regular, didnt work. So I clicked format data, it finished then installed the stock rom and everything is working.
This may not work for everyone, nor am I saying its a guaranteed fix, it's something that worked for me.
Let me know if this works for you if you want the stock recovery img, I can upload it too!
Huge shoutout to @Sergiocubano1 who spent hours trying to help me fix the issue. Happy flashing everyone, also if you go back to a custom recovery orangefox/twrp I would suggest creating a backup of your rom and putting the backup on your computer.
I wonder why it is not possible to restore this phone by putting it in EDL DOWNLOAD mode.
I would like to return stock with the RMX1931EX_11_A.08, because now with this system I suffer from random restarts but I am stopped for fear of brick.
On youtube there are guides for unbrick, but there are passwords to the software for flashing in EDL DOWNLOAD that they release for a fee of $ 20.
I honestly didn't believe this phone was so limited on a mod level.
Such a pity.

I wouldn't trust them. Did you try this method?
I don't trust them either. For this reason I have not tried.
however other devices like oneplus have the possibility.
to perform a total reset of the device through this EDL DOWNLOAD method.
in this device it is all very strange.
this device has very interesting specifications but is very limited.
I am looking for a system to do a total reset of the device with a stock version.

can you give me the link of the recovery stock?
thank you very much
@xHvlios Please how did you get the stock rom ozip into the stock recovery? I tried putting it in the device storage but when I go into stock recovery -> choose language -> install from storage device -> From phone storage; nothing happens. I also tried putting it in a flash drive but I can't see this device in the recovery.
I've been trying for the last few days to root and install Lineage on a brand new S6 lite tablet. I've downloaded Lineage, Odin, stock rom, ADB/platform tools, Ls4 tool, the 7 whatever it is extraction tool. I've unlocked the bootloader (I can recite every option under developer options). I've installed Magisk hoping that it might help if I rooted the dumb thing (spoiler alert: it rooted, it didn't help). I've tried to install it using ADB (before reading that Samsungs don't play nice with it ). I tried to side load it with an SD card; tablet liked the card, poo poo'd the files on it. I've used ODIN in every way shape and form, it always says "Yay! You Pass!" then my tablet reboots saying "Boo! You Lose!". I then reinstall the stock ROM, try something else, reinstall stock ROM, try this solution, reinstall stock ROM. The latest and greatest hurdle: when trying to install TWRP I get the error message VBMETA Error verifying image, not signed (3), verification disabled bit is set. I found info on that here, downloaded vbmeta from my stock ROM, tried to use a blank vbmeta, even went overboard and did something with the PIT function in Odin (saw it in the internet, it HAS to be correct, right?). Nothing nothing nothing.
I've rooted and installed custom ROM on Samsung tablets in the past, but this is ridiculous. It would take me a LONG time to give all the details of everything I've tried, if needed I can. At this point it's the principal of the matter . . . I am going to make this happen one way or another, and any advice someone might have would be appreciated.

I believe he used LineageOS Recovery instead of TWRP (since the latter has been abandoned by the developer due to too many problems getting it working properly).

What he said . . . still my hero!!!! Not sure if it matters or not, but I ended up using Heimdall/ADB to install Lineage. More key strokes but it worked the first time I tried it. Thumbs up for it
I'm hanging installing the recovery, see: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...s-on-galaxy-tab-s6-lite.4417629/post-86603873
How to reboot into recovery after flashing? I always land into Stock ROM
I mistakenly thought that Heimdell could get you right into recovery mode, but upon reading the instructions I sent you it says you need to boot into recovery manually . . . I apologize for the wrong info. I can say that I found that if you don't move them fingers FAST from the reboot mode to recovery mode buttons, you will keep getting plopped back to the stock ROM. Like the SECOND the screen goes dark you switch over to the power and volume up buttons, AND DO NOT LET GO! I do remember having a bit of a pause when booting into the Lineage recovery, and I thought I would have to start over when the recovery screen came up. I did a triple take, couldn't believe I got it to work.

Did your S6 happen to show "KG STATE: Checking" constantly? After 2 hours, even though the console shows that there was success, the device itself appears to constantly be downloading, as per the instructions. But even after 2 hours, there is no notification on the tablet that shows the download is complete.
