Yes, connect the device to a PC and use adb tools. Make you sure you got the correct drivers installed.

USB debugging enabled?
You are in MTP Mode?
With some drivers, I found through trial and error that if it was enabled the phone would be recognized, turn it off and it was.
I ended up installing the universal naked driver and now all is good for either mode.

Thanks. I'm tryng everithing possible and I can't. I think I have naked drivers installed version 7.0.0.1.
I did it.
Installing the naked drivers I choose in update controler --> select controller and then I select mtp. Windows 7 installs the mtp drivers and I can see the folder of my internal memory.
I didn't know what I must do these to can install the drivers.
Thanks and sorry for my english!

Boot twrp...but if you don't have it already installed, you're screwed

"Boot twrp."--excellent idea.
You can flash twrp image and twrp zip blind through fastboot commands, which you will find by searching.
Alternatively, if you're sure you digitizer works and you can get it to register taps, then find screenshots online of the places where you must blind tap to enable file transfer mode, and enable file transfer mode.
The relative positions I need to tap are in the attached screenshots. If you have ADB debugging enabled, then the first and second screenshot positions will be lower because of the extra notification that will be above it in the list. After tapping your way through, the file manager window on your PC should display the phone contents.

SM-T580 Stuck in Installing System Update loop

Hi all,
My Wife's tablet seem to be stuck in somesort of system update loop.
I can't seem to put it into recovery mode using
HOME + Volume up + POWER
I can put the tablet in DOWNLOAD mode using HOME + Volume down + POWER, but my PC does not seem to detect the tablet
Using OdinV3 3,14 with the Samsung USB drivers installed.
Is the tablet a lost cause or can i try something else to fix it?
Here is a screenshot what i see on the screen for a brief moment before it reboots.

=========== EDIT1:
So i was able to hook the tab to the PC using another cable i had lying arround, and i wanted to flash TWRP:
But reading the manual, it instruct me to enable OEM unluck in developer options. But this is something i cannot do because the device won't boot
https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga...overy-official-twrp-gtaxlwifi-galaxy-t3437666
What should i do?
=========================================
====Edit2
So I found me some firmware for my device from sammobile, I hope I can use Odin to flash this on the tablet
https://www.sammobile.com/samsung/galaxy-tab-a-2016/firmware/SM-T580/PHN/
=====
======EDIT3
So the flash process was stuck in hthe initialization phase for to long and I decided to unplug the device and try again. Now don't ask me why but this time the device automatically booted up in recovery mode and I was able to factory reset the device. It now boots up fine... Can someone explain what is going on? All seems fine now.
Kind regards,
Maniak

Can charge over USB but not able to connect to transfer files or via ADB even in recovery?

Hi, I have a rooted X Compact that's running on Lineage OS with twrp recovery. Can anyone give me any tips on how to debug this if there's any solution? I noticed I no longer can connect via USB. I'm on Linux and I don't see the device on lsusb or adb devices. I don't have access to a windows device at the moment . Even when I go to recovery and try to mount is there it's not working or showing up. Any ideas how to debug this or what could be going on? Thanks.

I've got a same problem with my X Compact. I think it's the charge port. I'm replacing it next week and will let you know if it solves the issue.
Dave
Hi. I have now replaced the USB 'C' port and my Xperia is now visible as shown. I'm using Windows 10.
