Hi all,
My Wife's tablet seem to be stuck in somesort of system update loop.
I can't seem to put it into recovery mode using
HOME + Volume up + POWER
I can put the tablet in DOWNLOAD mode using HOME + Volume down + POWER, but my PC does not seem to detect the tablet
Using OdinV3 3,14 with the Samsung USB drivers installed.
Is the tablet a lost cause or can i try something else to fix it?
Here is a screenshot what i see on the screen for a brief moment before it reboots.

=========== EDIT1:

But reading the manual, it instruct me to enable OEM unluck in developer options. But this is something i cannot do because the device won't boot

====Edit2
So I found me some firmware for my device from sammobile, I hope I can use Odin to flash this on the tablet

======EDIT3
So the flash process was stuck in hthe initialization phase for to long and I decided to unplug the device and try again. Now don't ask me why but this time the device automatically booted up in recovery mode and I was able to factory reset the device. It now boots up fine... Can someone explain what is going on? All seems fine now.
Kind regards,
Maniak

I got my new galaxy s from Bell last week. I have read how i can go to download mode and recovery mode.
For recovery mode, i can go in and there is few option i can do. Normally i just bootup.
For download mode, i can go in also. But there is a yellow construction logo, and it didn't disappear. Is it normal? It was just saying downloading and do not turn off target forever. Then i have to turn it off by pressing power button for 5 seconds. And it will reboot to normal mode.
Do i get the bad version of i9000m? And my series number is end of 60xxxxx
Thanks you.
don't worry that is normal
the contrusction screen (download mode) is meant to be that way.
it is only used to flash the phone with new version of the ROMs
you got a good phone!

Thx a lot!!
Because i saw my series number is 60xxxxx...and it match the number the website mention.
Anyway, very happy with my new phone!
I got my SGS on the first day it launched, but Im a little nervous to test the recovery mode items (lack of experience with Android OS). I've looked, but was wondering could someone describe to me what the need (and difference) is between recovery mode and download mode?
check out the wiki

it can't be any more clear than that
Yes, don't worry. It don't damage the phone. Just press 3 buttons when you power off the phone.

Hello,
I was trying to flash the Skrilax Bootloader with the backthund3r flashing utility and something goes wrong.
Now I have a black screen on my tablet, led on the flashing is stuck halfway.
I hope somebody could help me.
Here is what I have done exactly :
Plug the tablet.
Run blackthund3r A500APXFlash.exe
Enter SBK
Choose V8-Thor_1.7.3_recovery.a500apx
Choose the automatic method.
Click enter APX Mode --> black screen on the tablet / let on.
I have had a warning about a bad Acer driver, so I had to reinstal the driver using the link that was provided by the software.
AT THIS STEP I HAD TO UNPLUG THE TABLET TO INSTALL THE SOFTWARE...I DID IT WITHOUT QUITING A500APXFlash
Once the drivers are installed I clicked "Try again" to got to the APX Mode.
I thought it was ok but because I had the black screen on my tablet but in fact the device was not connected "No APX mode detected", I guess I didnt focused on that...
What next is that I click next anyway and didnt cancel the flash.
Had the message box for the bootloader check, I clicked 'No' because the tablet didnt load into the bootloader.
Now backthund3r is stuck halfway and the tablet is not responding (blackscreen, led on).

At this step I really don't know what to do...
Is there someting I shout do to continue the flashing process ?
OR shoud I stop I try to hard reset my tablet ?
TIA for your help...
Well.. I just hard reset my tablet and it's working again.
Hi,
i got the following issue with my A5:
I accidentally dropped it in the sink on Friday, then turned off the device and let it dry.
Tried turning it on on Monday and it was unresponsive. Left it just like that and roughly 15-30 minutes later it did turn on just to turn itself off a while later. (Note: Tried to charge the device and it said the battery temperature is too low to allow it to charge)
It hasn't turned on since then, i can't boot it with any conceivable button combination. Not even Recovery Mode, the only mode that boots is the Download Mode. Screen looks fine, and it still turns on, great.
So i decided to take an eternity with my 384 kbit/s connection to grab some firmware and flash it.
Firmware in question is the following from Samsung-Firmware:
PDA Version: A510FXXU4CQH2
CSC Version: A510FOXA4CQH2
PHONE Version: A510FXXU4CQH2
Filename: A510FXXU4CQH2_A510FOXA4CQH2_A510FXXU4CQH2_HOME.tar.md5
Odin does recognize the device and flashed it with these messages and settings:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
The problem now is that it still doesn't boot/restart, and still only goes into Download Mode and i am unsure how to get it to work at this stage since the hardware seems to be fine overall.
Any help would be appreciated.
Greets,
Frost
Bumping since i still haven't found a solution to the problem. Should also note that i typo'd on the thread title and meant Download Mode, not Recovery Mode.
ATTENTION: THIS IS ONLY FOR Galaxy TAB A T590 WIFI XXU2ARK2 firmware version
If you have other version installed, download XXU2ARK2 firmware and flash it using Odin.
Evrything you will do it will be your own risk
ROOTING Galaxy Tab A T590 wifi - gta2xlwifixx
Attention :Flash only with Odin3_v3.13.1 that I attached
Go into settings and enable developer settings (press 7 times "build number").
In the developer settings, select OEM unlock, enable the unlock, and enable USB debugging.
Connect the cable and using Samsung 300K Tool reboot to download mode
Once the device is in download mode, flash the "magisk_patched.tar" in the BL-slot.
The tablet will restart and it will try to start.
Wait patient.
The tablet will start,but it will show and error and recomand factory reset.
Push factory reset and the tablet will restart again.
Wait patient till the tablet will start.
Install Magisk Manager apk and check if root is available using root checker apk.

Now my phone don't work, all i can see it's a black screen and nothing work's, no download menu, can't connect to Odin.....can i save the phone or just stay 2 months and buy a new phone. I found this pdf any of you know if it's a scam or it's actually true ?
And i'm sorry if i posted in wrong topic!
Don't know much about Samsung phones but mine can not boot into download mode using Home+Vol.Down+Power anymore.
However, it works if I do the following:
1) Open Odin
2) Power off device
3) Hold Power+Vol.Up+Vol.Down, while doing this plug in your cable.
4) Maybe you have to long press Vol.Up now
4) Odin should detect phone and phone should be in download mode
Don't know if that still works since I'm refering to my Samsung Galaxy Ace GT-S5830i which is really old (highest official Android OS was 2.3.6).
If it doesn't work, someone else may help you.
I try that but is not working.... Thx for reply
