There are suggestions about accessing the "recovery menu", but this model only have one button, and I'm not sure where it is the pinhole for hard reset. I don't want to screw it up confusing some mic hole with the reset pinhole.
I can not reset the watch with the GUI because it reboots before finishing the procedure.
Does anybody know how to go to the "recovery menu" on this model that only has one button?

No such thing. DON'T poke **** in your watch! You'll kill a sensor! (barometer probably)

Alternatively you could try this if the 5E's functions are anything similar to the 5/5LTE. (Though I'm not entirely sure how if the 5E only has the one crown button)

Shield won't start

Hello everyone!
I was using the Shield (pro model, 500gb) and suddenly it won't respond to the remote control. I turned the Shild off and then tried to turn it on, but it won't. When I try to turn it on the shield button turns green but only for 1 second and then turns off. Nothing is displayed on the TV. I have tried many times turning on the Shield and it only turns green the button for one second and then turns off.

Im not a expert in this sphere, but according your written the power button on Shield not lights and this happened without your interfering, my guessing and opinion sounds like you have hardware problem, this symptoms not sounds like software. Try this one and or not I would go sending back by warranty!

Hello again!
I tried what is mentioned on the video but it does not enter into bootloader. The video mentions to press the nvidia button two times and in the first time the green light keeps on. In my case, when I press the first time, even if I keep pressing, the green light just turns on for 1 second and goes off. The second time it is the same, and actually nothing happens
Anyone has encountered this issue?

I have an almost identical problem; the remote for my SATV Pro stopped responding, mid-session, one day.
I had to pull the plug and it would no longer boot, thereafter.
The light will stay on indefinitely, it seems - I left it on overnight to test.
It won't enter the bootloader menu, either; if I hold the power button for 6 seconds, the light switches off and I can still hear the harddrive.
when trying the push button method do not forget,the USB and HDMI should be plugged to each device before start. me I just press for start then I instantly press again and hold,works well .
Did you figure out what happened and if there is a fix for this? My Nvidia Shield Pro is having the exact issue and unfortunately my unit is a month over the warranty period =(.
Same light flash for a second after power, but nothing after. I'm thinking it must be a hardware issue, but how to troubleshoot it? Wish an nVidia engineer would help out.
My 2015 Shield 16GB went dark today and I have the LED on for 6-10 seconds after replugging, and then it shuts itself off. I only see the green Shield logo for few seconds. Tried going into bootloader, but there it too shuts down after few seconds...
same her mine just gave up.
Was Shield Experience 8.2.1 recently released or am I just seeing it now for some reason? Maybe that's what caused your problems?

after one night unplugged i got it booting again and it run for about 10 minutes or so.
efter that i have now tried toapply new cooling paste and even tried with another power adapter, but noting seems to help so far.
and as some one else up there said, i can still hear the hdd spin
A very similar thing has happened to me but maybe my difference can shed light on this issue?
I was cleaning (sweeping specifically) and accidentally turned the shield on. I pressed the touch button on the front of the shield to put it back to sleep and I then heard a *pop* sound. After that the shield will only turn on for a second, the green light will come on for a second and then it will switch off.
I opened it up (pretty easy with just my finger nails even) and I can hear sounds coming from the mainboard when I plug it in, like it's still receiving power even though it wont turn on.
I have little to no experience repairing electronics but my assumtion is I discharged enough static to blow the power button board on the front of shield unit.
Also to add, the shield unit will not respond to the inputs of a controller or a keyboard that has been paired with it.
I identified the infinitesimally thin wires that connect the touch power button to the main board but they dont seem to be damaged themselves - I plugged the power supply in while each side was disconnected and the shield unit turned on when I reconnected the wires.
I'm going to assume that if I can replace the power button board on the front of the unit it will work again but I'm not sure and cant be sure unless I can get a spare part.
Or maybe I should just take it to a repair shop?
Has anyone managed to get their unit working properly after this specific issue.
Side note: it's strange how many others have this exact same issue in this exact month isnt it?

I got a new power supply from Ebay to see if that would make a difference.
It did not - the power supply is not the issue.
Oh just to add - I tried cloning the original drive but I was still able to read it on my computer and the drive-clone didn't change the outcome so that wasnt the issue either.

I turned mine off at the device last night and, pop, a huge static discharge from my finger. My Shield now exhibits the same behavior as everyone else in this thread.
Just wondering if you or anyone else every figured out a fix? Possibly blow fuse or capacitor in the power circuitry?
No change in status.
I'd like to still fix mine but I ended up buying a mini PC, which is a million times better than a proprietary-hardware device.
It's not locked down like an android only device (even though it runs on win10) and I can do much more with it than just watch movies and play android games/apps.
Anyway if anyone else can find a solution to this that'd be great.

Did you remember to connect it to a PC via USB first?
Cause if not... Well theres your first problem.

All right guys, I'm back with the following steps
If you own a SHIELD Controller
• Unplug SHIELD TV.
• Connect SHIELD controller to SHIELD TV with a USB cable (use port closest to HDMI).
• While holding the A and B buttons at the same time, connect power to SHIELD TV.
If you do not own a SHIELD controller
• Unplug SHIELD TV.
• Connect a USB keyboard directly to SHIELD TV (use port closest to HDMI)
• While holding the "A" and "B" keys down at the same time, connect power to SHIELD TV.
• Once you enter Fast Boot mode, on the keyboard use the "X" and "Y" keys to navigate the menu and "A" to select
Use the X and Y buttons on the controller to move to "Boot recovery kernel".
3. Press the A button to select "Boot Recovery Kernel".
4. You may see the dead Android robot on screen. This is expected behavior. If so, press B button on the controller.
5. You will see Android Recovery Menu.
6. Use the X and Y buttons on the controller to move to "wipe data/factory reset".
7. Press the A button to select "wipe data/factory reset".
8. After process select "reboot system now".
8. SHIELD will boot to home screen.
Do the factory reset
It will bring you back to recovery
Select "Continue"
device will process and reboot like new

i brought No 1 D5 Watch after few days it restart autometic and get stuck on Boot Loop restart logo Appear than auto Restart and it is continue i buy this from aliespress and from my country i am unable to send it back due to electronic custom Issue .
i try to reflash it but still same problem any help please .
Same problem here with X3 watch (same as No.1 D5). Continues bootloop, no matter what buttons pushing, I cannot get into recovery mode to make a factory reset. Also ADB not connecting to the watch (USB debugging not enabled in watch?)..... Reflashing software did not help, still in bootloop. Disconnecting battery did not help either.
I'm at the end of my possibilities. Anyone has some suggestions what I can try next?
Watch skin problem
Hi, i am sorry i need some one help here, i got my No.1 D5, and i was trying to add watch face from inside the watch using the (+), i chose the one i want, download start and installing message confirmation is ok, then a black one (nothing there) added to the faces list, when i chose it there is only black screen, touch swip is not working, long press the btn show the normal options, i can power off and power on, but gain once powered on the face is black.

Lemfo lem7 screen locked and factory reset

I bought a Lemfo lem7 smartwatch yday through aliexpress. During settings I switched the screen lock option and now cant unlock the screen doing whatsoever. I have rebooted by pressing the power button to no avail. Can anyone help? How can i do a factory reset as this watch has a single button?

I got mine ordered at Banggood 2 days ago, and tested it's feature's without SIM card so far. Last test was company email configuration using exchange account setup. All worked out fine except the required pin-code unlock to start Andoid (after reboot watch).
After a while i got annoid to use the pincode input, and liked to get rid of the exchange account so i deleted this account in my LEM7.
But next reboot, i still got this pin code input screen but without onscreen keyboard !!
So the same question as topic starter, how to restore - do a factory reset with only one physical button ?
Or using the supplied smartwatch-dock with USB connection at Windows computer.
What procedure ? Software ? How to obtain factory ROM not having any backup ?
Next i will send Banggood.com service request.

I guess you have to hold the power button in booting process. So long pressing power button for 10 second to reset watch and then during booting again long pressing power button. I guess then you will see new boot menu where will be HARD RESET option. This process is more or less same for all Android devices

And how would this fix a device what does not start Andriod before entering 4 numbers at the same device what does not shows a keyboard to enter these numbers ?
No, neither a solution.
Meanwhile i've returned my LEM7 to supplier Banggood, got my money including shipping costs refund. And have bought a THOR4 smartwatch instead. But i would not try to enable the security setting to input a pincode anymore neither at my current THOR4 device.
Another thing, experience of the passed weeks having a 'cheap' smartwatch with all it's features including 4G , most apps running on a small and round display and very tiny onscreen keyboard are hard to use. Or not even to install when required to tap at YES / NO the yes or no is not visible on the screen neither full round or squared display setting.
Using a 2 (micro) sim card of my provider, can only use one device (watch or smartphone) at the same time. Have to set one in airplane mode to use the other as a phone .
And have you ever entered a password at onscreen keyboard on 1.34" round display ? not easy done for shure i can say !
Do consider the smartwath as a nice gadget, practically spoken prefer to use smartphone or larger display sizes .

Finally succeeded. Couldn't do it from my pc but the Lemfo still had bluetooth on. I paired it with my smartphone, connected and I was able to erase all. Now the tedious reinstalling except the suspect app, whuich had been ok until the latest update. You had the right solution, thanks

Factory reseting a Smart TV

Hello evryone,
I'm a bit in a pickle here, i got a smart TV (zephir store brand) that costantly loops trough the zephir logo and smarttv logo.
As far as i know the tv fuction perfectly fine until the previus owner tried to performe a firmware update, during the update something went wrong and now we are in this situation.
Till now i have tried the following:
Turning it of and on
Un plug the power and wait for 1h
Tried to perform a factory reset via remote
Tried to perform a factory reset while holding the power button
Tried to perform a factory reset while holding the power button and the volume down button
Tried to perform a factory reset while holding the power button and the volume up button
Tried to connect an usb keyboard
tried to connect via usb to PC
Nothing of the above showed any sing of response at this point the owner has given up on the TV but i still wana try to use it as a second monitor or something, so with all of that i'm coming here to seek the wisdom of the XDA forums. Any and all help would be apriciated form jailbraking to rooting, turning it into a monitor with no android fucionality, how to access the shell file anything at all.
Alright, so I couldn't find any firmware anywhere whatsoever for the Zephir brand. Tried loading a differend brand one for the same logic board. Managed to boot it but the picture was inverted and doubled. Made it to the source selection screen. Attempted to load a different firmware. The tv crashed while loading the booter. Now it won't even turn on the power indicator LED. So I guess it's well and truly cooked.
I could find the board online for like € 40 but I'm pretty sure they come without any firmware or OS? Does anyone know if it'd be worth a try, especially without being able to source the OEM firware?
Does anyone know if there is a way of making just the screen run on an arduino or something, I only need it to run HDMI anyways, 'cause I was planning on using it as a monitor anyways. The logic board is a CV538H-a.
If anyone has a suggestion I'd be glad to give it a go, otherwise i guess I'll bin it.

Boot loop problems

There has not been much action here for a while, so here goes!
I purchased a used Nexus 10 seven years ago, so it is probably 10 years old now, with original battery
The problem I have is that I have encountered a problem that I am unable to fix; when I boot up I receive this message
“Android is starting, optimising apps 1 of 119” (cannot understand the 119, definitely nothing like 119 apps on the device.)
The message is in a loop, and Nexus is unusable, I cannot get into safe mode, when I click on recovery mode I receive the message “no command” or get a message "download do not switch off"
Any assistance would be appreciated
So if you are in the ''no command screen'' he have to play around with the buttons so you get an menu, then select adb sideload. (with my Pixel 6 pro it's keeping the power button pressed and hit the up button a few times.)
In preparation it's an good idea to download the ota firmware files and platform tools so you can start right away once you're there.
If this all is a bit jibberis to you try finding an guide on sideloading for your device. The general idea is the same so if you can't find it for your device, look at the pixel 6 pro page under howto there are a few good guides you just have to adjust them a bit to your device. Andriod flash tool (via the google/andriod site) might be an option too, if the nexus is supported.

Think I will surrender to a replacement, considering my usage I might take a punt on this at at Amazon Aus $109
