Hello world ! Rescue on a dead screen. Need Help... - Samsung Galaxy J3 (2016) Questions & Answers

Hello everybody !
I'm trying my best to save my wife's phone. After a short time un salted water, the screen is out-of-order. I've tried to change it, but it seems something's broken after the plug.
By the way, I should mention that no developper's mode nor debug's mode is switched on. The phone is seen on Windows 10, and I can manage to swith the sideload mode on.
So I've bought another one J3(2016), with debug mode on. I would like to know how I can prepare a binary copy of the system to inject it on the broken smartphone. My goal is to obtain a broken phone with debug mode ON, in order to open a shell via ADB and download the pictures.
The essential asset are the pictures in priority ONE, priority TWO is the phone numbers. Can you help me ? Is it simply possible to rescue the data's ?
My preferred language is FRENCH. I hope I can be understood as I'm not good in English.
Thanks for the reading!

how to access my filesystem if the device freezes during startup

After entering my system password my device freezes. So i cant start the explorer there.
Is there a way i can access the files on my phone? Sadly its in USB Stick mode, i can browse my files on the SD Card just fine. But i need access to the device memory. I know whats wrong, i just have to replace one file, but how do i get there?
Any chance to get access via the bootloader screen? Can i force active sync to connect even if the device is in removable media mode? Can i prevent the today screen from loading and get into the explorer somehow?
i know there is a safe mode!
yes there is, i'm 100% sure, i have used it, but it was using an application(i can't remember which one, maybe something from SPB).
try looking around on how to enter safe mode on Windows Mobile and i think this will help.
good luck
Try using SPB Pocket Plus as it has a safe mode boot features
safe mode doesn't help in most cases....
Google only gave me 3rd party safe mode programs. I didnt find a native windows safe mode support. And of course i cant install any new programs at the moment. And i dont have Pocket Plus installed.
Does it get into USB stick mode automatically after entering the password?
Regards,
Carty..
Yes as i said it does, but i can only access my SD Card because it not in active sync modus.
And the dll i need to replace is on the phone memory, no the memory card.
Does this help me? Could i put some kind of autorun script on it which replaces my dll? Or disable the today plugins?

I can access the inner file system of my X2.

Guys and gals...
I've got a bricked X2, so things can't get any worse at present.
I took the advice which was displayed in another thread, and downloaded the Qualcomm QPST package.
x-drivers.com/catalog/flash/mobile_phones/companies/qualcomm/models/qpst/12051.html
I deleted the default comm ports in the QPST configuration tool, added both USB ports that were available, did the Volume Down + Power On keypress, connected the cable, and voila! The phone was recognised, and it was possible to browse through the phone using EFS Explorer. Using QPST Service Programming, I can view and edit a whole LOAD of stuff inside the phone. Wow.
I haven't dared change a single thing yet. I'm hoping someone can now contribute and we can begin to understand how to use this package to our advantage.
hopefully this will bring us closer to spl!!!
Great Work...
Further information
Further information...
You can configure two USB ports (called COM13 and COM15) using the QPST Configuration server.
When you do the Power On + Volume Down combination, the phone appears to enter Diagnostic mode, and shows up as being connected on COM13.
When you do the Power On + Volume Up combination, the phone appears to enter Download mode, and shows up as being connected on COM15.
I don't yet know what the significance is, or what to do about it. But again, I'm hoping that someone will be able to shed some more light on this.
I guess the main aim at this stage would be to find out how to access the WM file directories inside the phone.

Try to put recovery.img from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1288223.......
just check if image folder contains all necessary files other than recovery.img.
thank you krish_nank,
I do not touch any files on the image partition. the main problem is, that my phone doesn't do anything and so I can't mount the device and drives. When I connect the phone to the charger it doesn't charge, the LED doesn't light up. I can't go to the pink screen. Is there any way to connect the phone when it is offline? Or is there any hard reset function.
Thank you!
Bye

Hello krish_nank,
I try everything, but no way the LED doesn't light up neither with the charger nor with the PC. But I'll try it again in the evening.

What's happended, when you connect your phone over usb to your computer?
What kind of backup do you have?
How did you do the backup?
Can you see some drives in your filemanager?
Let me explain. When I connect my unrooted phone to my computer, I see 5 drives. In the attached picture you can see the important drives and its filesystems. Please have a look at column "Einhängepunkt" to see it.
Perhaps this URL will you help a bit.

Are you able to reach the pink/purple screen?
Have you tried taking the battery out?
Best regards,

Hello Ponder Stibbons,
I can't turn on my u8800, that's my problem and that's the reason why I sent it to the service. I've backup 1:1 copy of the drives and one backup from recovery mode. There is no response when I connect the phone to the pc. When I connect there is no LED light on the same with charger. I dont know why but I think its a hardware problem. I've a second android handy, the samsung galaxy spica and I've no problems with this device and I've root it with many mods. what I'll say I'm not a beginner with root and mod an android device. I'll talk about the error when I#ve back my device from the service.
So long and thank you.
Best regards

Hello all,
I've got the information from service, that the mainboard of the phone was changed ;-)

Salvage data with dead screen

Hello, My phone had some water inside that probably burned the screen, I can still connect with my Bluetooth headphones to it and listen to music, but the screen is pitch black. I bought a new phone already, but I want to salvage my pictures which are not stored on google photos from the phone. Is there anyway to do this ??
You can use adb pull method....
can you elaborate a bit more on that please ?, or a topic to follow ??

There's a full guide here. In short, you'll need to have ADB drivers installed, which you can easily get here, or from the Android Development Kit if you so desire. Then you'll need to open a command prompt. The command you run is
Code:
adb pull "path/to/file/or/folder/on/phone" "path/to/save/to/on/computer"
Say, for example, you're on Windows and you wanted to save your phone's photos folder to your PC, you could run
Code:
adb pull "/sdcard/DCIM" "C:\Users\[your username]\Documents\PhoneFiles"
You might need to have turned on USB debugging in developer options on your phone first, I'm not sure - although this could be hard with no screen...
Hope this helps, good luck!

Help - RN7 Broken screen - ADB not working

Hello Forums!
Come to you for advice in this matters!
Phone screen broke down a few days ago, and I arranged another phone. In the meanwhile, i want to pull off the contacts, photo, data, etc from the xiaomi. Did not backup!.
I've been trying to use ADB to command text-control the unit (unlock, click and do stuff) and export the data with no success, it just does not receive any input. But, I'm able to visualize the screen with SCRPY and VYSOR. ADB seems to kill either of this processes when connected.
Also, when I try to just USB plug the unit and see the storage (from W10), it shows nothing. Tried to update the XIAOMI drivers and says that "ADB is the best driver available" and does nothing about it.
Any guidance on how succesfully pull the data out?
CHeers!
