I am gonna keep my cool, since I'm in a good mood today.
So from the thread title and what you just said I can assume that you mean when connecting your device through an EDL cable you don't hear the windows sound for plugged device, correct?
Well that's normal that's how it's supposed to be, since EDL mode isn't a mode with a UI and requires a specific driver to properly work. You can get the driver from here.
You may want to disable windows driver signature enforcement or boot to test mode to successfully install the driver. Here is how.

Thanks for answering.
Yes, I hear a sound when I connect the wire and also the QDL 9008 is connected, but the phone does not work. Knowing I pressed Power + Volume Up .... Power + volume Down
it did not work

Mostly because Xiaomi locks EDL mode. You may need to do a test point boot. EDL cable isn't enough.

PLEASE HELP i think i bricked

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=741027
according to this i didn't brick it but i can't get it into download mode!
please help! i can't get passed the vibrant screen.
before the "brick", you could enter recovery mode using the volume keys, right? how are you trying to get download mode? i mean, the type of combination you use.
if the phone its hard locked, then you can get a new one.
If not, tell us more what did you do
OK, instead
1. take the battery out
2. Unplug the usb from the phone
3. Open Odin
4. Put the battery back in
5. Hold the volume up and Volume Down
6. Then while holding Volume up and Volume Down
plug the usb wire in
This should get you into dl mode, hopefully... it worked for me
when I got the phone to computer screen.
HOPE IT WORKS if not try again till it does or repeat what the link tells you its the best way I know.
no i had to use the rom manager to get into recovery

Were you ever able to get into the stock recovery? without using ROM manager? How did you originally Root?... If you never could get into recovery using your hardware keys you may have a "keylocked" vibrant and maybe SOL...
BUT, if at anytime you've been able to get into recovery using the Vol +/- & power combo then you are fine.
Do the same steps as listed above, but when the battery Icon comes up keep holding down the key combo while that "battery" is displayed. At 2 to 3 seconds the screen will FLASH BLACK... LET GO OF POWER. You should now be in DL mode. GL!
are you trying to get into Recovery mode or the Download mode?
For recovery mode this works for me,
Remove battery
Install battery
Press and hold vol+/vol-
Press and hold power button
Once you see the Vibrant Screen do not release any of the buttons (vol+/vol- and power buttons) it will go black then back to Vibrant screen, then you release the power button only but keep pressing the vol-/vol+ buttons... this should get you into recovery mode..
For Download mode this helps me,
Remove Battery
Plug in USB cable to phone and computer
Put Battery In.. wait a couple of seconde until it shows the battery being charge..
Press and hold the vol+/vol- and the power button..
This will power up you phone.. once you see the Vibrant screen and it turn black, release the power button only.. this should get you into DL mode (it works for me). good luck.

Have you tried connecting from different USB ports? I've heard people struggle with front facing USB ports due to their low power? Anyways, try the ones directly connected to your motherboard.

You shouldn't be connected to the pc while entering apx mode. Enter apx first then connect.
As for being stuck on the black screen...There are hundreds of threads regarding this.
Read the cpuid guide and the root guide in my sig, post there if u need further help

Ok, i will try and post the results
Tnx
I have installed drives, tried other usb ports but it's the same.
A500manager detects the tablet and after second i hear the sound like when you disconnect the device.
The problem is that it won't stay in apx mode.

Bricked YP2 - front screen black and cannot flash *SOLVED

Hello guys,
Hope someone is able to help here.
I got Yotaphone 2 YD206 to my hands. It has problem with front screen staying always black. Rear screen says "Turn over the phone to set up". Cannot do it as front screen is always black.
Volume buttons work and power too. Also the phone rings if someone calls me. I can shut down long-pressing power button but device always restarts. I cannot enter download neither recovery mode. Power + VOL down or power + VOL up always reboots the device back to "Turn over the phone set up" -screen (text in rear screen).
I have flasher and Lollipop firmware files. But flasher says <waiting for device>. For me it seems issue with drivers. I have tried several usb drivers (WIN10 laptop) but still no luck. ADB devices command doesn't show any devices connected.
Any ideas? I believe someone might have a trick I have tried yet.
Thanks in advance!
Edit. After fighting hours and hours with flashing I decided to open the phone and found it was just simple hardware issue. LCD flex was disconnected...put it back and phone is alive.

[GUIDE] How to make your "bricked" device show up as Qualcomm 9008 instead of 900E

[GUIDE] How to make your "bricked" device show up as Qualcomm 9008 instead of 900E
Now, some people who have tried the official recovery tool have experienced that the MsmDownloadTool didn't work for them, because their device actually didn't show up as a Qualcomm 9008, but rather a 900E.
To fix this, instead of holding power button for 20 seconds, and holding the volume up for 10 seconds and then connecting, do this:
1. Hold down power button for 20+ seconds like you're used to.
2. Connect the phone to your PC
3. When connected, press and hold volume up, volume down, and power button at the same time
4. The device will after some time show up as 9008 in Windows device manager (To know when to stop holding the buttons, look at device manager while holding them down)
I hope I helped some of you that think your device is completely broken
I honestly though my Oneplus 9 Pro was done for. Thank you, the steps worked perfectly.

Phone won't turn on after battery died, using ROM

Hello, I have been using the Pixel Experience ROM, but earlier today my battery completely died. It then shut down, and now even though it has been charging for quite a while it won't turn on. First, when plugging it in I saw that charging percentage, but when I tried to turn it on it just went black and won't turn on even when pressing all the buttons for long...
Do you have any idea can this be fixed and how would I do that?
Thank you so much for any help
6T Key Combinations:
Volume Up + Power while turning on will boot to fastboot.
Volume Down + Power while turn on will boot to recovery.
Holding Volume Up + Power should force the phone to turn off.
Volume Up + Volume Down should put your phone in Download mode for the MSM Tool.
Try holding the Volume up and Power for several seconds. Do any of the other key combinations there work? Remember on the MSM Tool one, the screen will remain off / blank, only the MSM Tool will recognize it.

Unfortunately none of these work. I already tried them. It doesn't heat up at all while charging, so it seems like I can't get it to charge at all rather than there would be a problem with the system etc. would even MSM work if the problem is that it doesn't charge and it has no battery at all?
Do you reckon it is due to no power or a fault in the system? I really can't do troubleshooting on this level myself!

I wasn't necessarily recommending using the MSM Tool to flash the phone, just to see if there were any signs of life. You can plug it in, use the tool just to see if the PC recognizes it, without hitting the "go" button.
