[Q] Use Galaxy Gear with other music apps on Note 3?

Does anyone know if you can use the Galaxy Gear music controls with other music apps? Mostly PowerAmp as that is one of the more popular and one that I use. Should be receiving my Note 3 and that's the first app I plan to install. I had a Motoactv that recently crapped out on me with it's battery so I definitely want another smartwatch, and I have been DIEING for music controls for when I listen in my old BMW with a cassette adapter. Has anyone tried this because honestly this is my deal-breaker, I first off don't like Google music and second I run a custom EQ for my factory 80's speakers. Thanks in advance to everybody here, and if anyone thinks that this either needs added to the gear forum or needs to be moved please do!

Note 3 bluetooth streaming distortion sound

Hi,
A question for note 3 blueetoh . I used to use this Bluetooth audio receiver that comes with 3.5mm, link up with my note 3 for wireless music, in car and in home stereo . Everything was working fine. However, recently i have sold sold my note 2 and replaced with a note 3 N9005 LTE. When i tried the Bluetooth streaming of music, i often hear the distortion sound. Anyone here experience the same thing ? Any solution and tips for that ? Appreciate ur assistance / tips . Thank you !!!

I recently just bought a portable speaker only to find out my Note 3 gave a very bad audio quality through bluetooth streaming. I can hear a lot of distortion. Tested the speak with an iphone and it sounds great.
I'm on 4.4.2 XXUDNC1. Is there any way to fix this?

Gear S3 connected = horrible bluetooth audio streaming to other devices!

As the title says - when I have my Gear S3 (was also an issue with Gear S2) connected to the phone, the audio quality to other devices becomes total crap with distortions and crackling.
The only headsets that keeps the quality are the ones supporting AptX.
I had an OnePlus 3 with the Gear connected before, and this was never a problem! I don't care if it drains extra battery if there is something that can be done... like forcing higher streaming bitrate or whatever, my device is rooted, I'm up for suggestions. (Tried ViperFX, didn't make it better.)
Anyone else have experience with this? I can't understand how this slipped through, someone over at Samsung must have noticed their bluetooth audio is **** when their Gear is connected simultaneously.
Non rooted S7 Edge G935F + Gear S3 here, no problems with Bluetooth audio quality
I have the same problem with my S8.
It's making me crazy!
daymnnn YES same problem with my s7 edge ( rooted , running MM + xposed)
I had the same problem with my s8 and gear s3. I complained to Samsung but no one solved my problem. My solution was returning them and buying an iphone 7 and an apple watch. Problem solved.

Galaxy buds vs Iconx?

I have the IconX (2018) version earbuds from Samsung right now. Galaxy buds were supposed to connect instantly on S10+.
Does this do the same on IconX if I use the S10+'s software? If not, what makes it different than connections of the Galaxy buds?
I looked at the specifications, and there didn't seem to be any additional hardware for connections.
Thanks!
Not really sure what you meant by connect instantly. I have both gear iconx 2018 and s10+. The gear iconx works with s10+ just like it did with my old s8.

On my S8, the connection prompt doesn't show up consistently with iconx. When I looked at the galaxy buds previews, when they opened the galaxy buds, the prompt showed nearly immediately on the S10. IconX, I have to usually go to bluetooth settings, etc. It is sorta annoying, so I'm wondering if it still happens on the S10 (if its software based).
My phone's bluetooth is constantly on as I use a smartwatch.
The moment I put the earphone out of the box and into my ear, it will automatically connect. I don't have to press anything. Just open Spotify and play.

Bluetooth lag with Samsung Buds

Just curious if anyone else experiences this. I use a pair of Samsung Galaxy Buds to watch movies and tv shows. I use MX Player Pro. There is a consistent 14-second lag between the audio and video (Note: I do have the "AV sync" option checked). I have also used Plex and VLC with same issue--about a 14-second delay.
However, there is no lag using Netflix or YouTube, or just watching videos in general on the internet.
My S5e is not rooted--complete stock. Any one else experience anything like this? Any one have any suggestions as to the cause?
