Have you tried using a set of iPhone compatible ones - those worked perfectly, with or without the microphone addition used for calling ...
It has to do with the different ways the internal wirings or polarity are contacted - simply put, some are reversed or cross-over. Does the plug have 3 tiers or 4 tiers?
If you connect the Sony or Samsung, try pressing the MIC button if there is one, do you hear or notice anything different at all? When I used certain headsets on my HTC, I only get mono audio, coming from one side - press on the MIC button, I get the full stereo effects, left & right channel - got an inexpensive adapter on eBay and problems solved for using my "fancy" noise-cancelling Sony headset when I do air travel.
i wish people would read the rules
sorry mate i am not sure where to post!i tried the accessories section but it says this is not a Q&a forum bla bla bla i don t like to get kicked out for breaking the rules or is it something else ?i love this forum very informative

How?
I bought Sony headphones and connected to the device and it worked
Hi everyone. I just got a Galaxy note 3 and its pretty great but I am having one issue. I have a Bluetooth headset that I love and it doesn't seem to be compatible with my new phone. When I make a call the sound on my side is very distorted and almost impossible to understand at any volume. The caller on the other end says that they can hear me fine. I know it's not an issue with the bluetooth headset as it worked fine with my last phone (Galaxy Note 1).
Any ideas on what would be causing the issue and how to fix it?
It would really bum me out if this headset won't work with my new phone. I went through about 5 other bluetooth headsets before I found one that the noise cancellation actually worked on.
Headset I have is the VXI Blue Parrot Express
Help Please , I have a Mpai i9500 , great bit of kit , it's my back up phone to my galaxy s4 , the headphones that came with the Mpai I9500 are pretty rubbish to be honest but they do work , remote , mic and earphones.
I would like to use a better pair of headphones
I have tried my Samsung galaxy s4 headphones and a cheap android compatible pair from eBay on the phone the sound works for listening to music , BUT the mic does not work and the remote buttons do not work......
The Mpai i9500 is running android 4.2.2 , I have had a look for a headset app for perhaps re-configuring headsets , but I've not really found anything that is made to fix the problem.
Does anyone know of a solution via a app or a link to a compatible set of headphones.......if required , I would be happy to root the phone if required.
TIA
Hi all!
Really hoping someone can help me with this. For some reason, I have no sound with my Denon AH-W200 bluetooth headset on my Note 3 (SM-N9005) phone. Other bluetooth units work, and my headset work fine on other phones - for instance, my previous Note 2 phone. With cable to my BT headset, everything works. With bluetooth - nothing! No sound at all through any apps. This has not been working on the latest two ROMs I have had, Omegadroid and currently, Audax ROM. On Audax I have tested with both stock and Fulgor kernel without any luck.
My headset pairs just fine, but no sound.
Any help in this matter is greatly appreciated!!

I'll rather find a solution as to how to make this work while running a custom ROM. The problem must be somewhere.
Anyone?

Hello everyone !
I recently bought a P9 lite VNS-L31 and I noticed that audio quality is not very good through a bluetooth headset or a bluetooth speaker when I listen to music. There is some distorsion and it's audible and uncomfortable. I tried to connect various bluetooth audio devices to my P9 lite and the problem is the same. I also tried the P9 lite of a friend, there is the same problem. But there is no problem when I connect my bluetooth headset to my previous phone or to my computer...
Does anyone know this issue ?
Thanks a lot
Never try headset, but BT speaker is working well ,no distorsion ( for me ) maybe you can try an equalizer or somethink like that. I use bass booster ,you can set / adjust your sound. You can get it from play store, no root needed.

Hello !
Thank you for your answer I just tried bass booster but it didn't solve the issue Actually the distortion can't be heard with all musics... For example with this classical song, the distorsion is very present : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GRxofEmo3HA
Do you see the problem with this music ?
Thank you in advance
not possible yet, I'll try asap
I have a Plantronics BackBeat (a bluetooth headset) ans I have no music distorsion at all. Did you changes something ? Like activated sws or something ?
Hello everyone !
Thanks for your answers !
I didn't change anything in my settings. SWS is not available with bluetooth...
Maybe you can try the 2 songs attached to this message. With my P9 lite through bluetooth, the distorsion is clear, and more audible when I turn the volume up a bit. It's like a saturation, or an audio interference in the song.
Does anyone see the problem ?
Thanks in advance !

No distortion for me. I've played your files through bluetooth on my hi-fi system and sound is good.

Hi,
I have this exact problem too! When I use my old phone (LG G3) in my car throigh bluetooth ghe sound is crystal clear with good bass. When I connect my P9 lite the quality is awfual, distprtion, loud crackling bass, the treble fluctuates and I have not yet found a solution to get it to the same quality level as my G3.
It ses like there is some sort of preset interal equaliser, but I can't find a way to access it.
Any ideas?
In my opinion, if you are using your phone as your primary source for music playback there is absolutely no way around Viper sound mod. Of course this requires root and permissive SELinux access.
The audio on this device was indeed not good with stock settings. But with the right settings and IRS in Viper it is a blast.

Hi Jt94 !
I am reassured to see that I am not alone in this situation Do you hear a little "tchhhh" like an audio saturation while listening the 2 songs I uploaded yesterday for example ?
Does someone else have the same problem ?
Thanks !
I've try your youtube link, and some others songs from my play list, with my bluetooth speaker, using Poweramp and no problem report. I use BT adapter in my car with stock player, I've got some trouble sometime but ithink it's coming from my tuner.

I using spotify. At first I thought something went wrong with my Sony MDR-XB650BT headset. And tried from PC, and everithing is okay.
So I hear this "noise" continuously too. I hope to the manufacturer will fix it. It is very irritating.
I sent an email last week to [email protected] but I still have no reply...

I have the same issue , I tried a wipe data cache and a factory reset but non of this works. Anybody have new information about this issue and how to fix it?
Do a full factory reset. Try it maybe it will solve your problem.
I'm using my Bluetooth Headset everyday and i also have zero problems. perfect sound for me. (cheap mixcder ShareMe 7 BT 4.1 headphones, but good sound for the price ;D - and long battery life). maybe your device is faulty?

Is your phone charging while you're listening to music? Try it without having it charged if so..

I hope to it will be solved in the next android version...
Hi,
I have a VNS-L31 with the same problem.
I think it's related to A2DP codecs on Bluetooth: the SBC codec is a poor quality compression that must be available on all devices while AAC, MP3 and aptX are not always present.
However I don't know how to force the use of high quality codecs.
