Try disabling you router wireless security encryption and see if phone connects with no encryption. Its a start to isolate the problem.

Try manually entering the wifi network information on your wizard. I've had problems getting onto networks just because the phone wouldn't look for the settings on its own.

What operating system are you running.Windows 5 or 6 or 6.1 and what
rom and version do you have.I had trouble with one of the Roms doing that and downloaded a different one and it worked fine. You might try a different one.

This is NOT your wireless router, right. AND you are running a WinMo ROM. And you have tried a soft reset... RIGHT? Try adding the network again as a new network... worked for me and I have no idea why.
hey guys well i used wildpuzzle v0.8,cm7 nightlies 8-11-14,rc1 and rc2 till now.And all with 4.1 hcdr kernel.(4.2 does not work on my wildfire i dunno why )
well the problem is that the wifi restarts itself all the time(with all those roms).for example i enable the wifi and it connects then i start downloading programs or surf on the web and the connection disappears in a few minutes and reconnects again and again.it makes me sick bcs of interrupting my downloads from the market . what is the reason of that problem and the solvation? thx a lot everyone who reads this and helps me...
maybe you can try static ip address replace obtained by router.

Try my rom here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=976068
Maybe it will solve your problem. Wi-Fi TETHERING however doesn't work in this release. I am going to launch an update later on this evening.
Maybe disable wifi sleep will help ?

This may be a long shot but if you’re on Project Fi you may want to check the Google wi-fi Assistant. Good Luck!
Reboot your router and it should be all set. Trust me - it just needs to flush.
If reboot doesn't work try changing the WiFi channel if not auto. Good luck!

Rebooted router many times and also left it off for about an hour.. and just tried changing the WiFi channel.. Still no luck.
There was an update for Google Connectivity Services but that still didn't fix it.. I'm not sure if there was one before I notice it couldn't get internet access.

I've had this problem on several custom roms with my N6p, and the only way I could fix it was to go back to the stock rom. You could try flashing the stock boot.img and vendor.img, then wiping system, and flashing your rom and gapps again. I think it has something to do with root, but that is my opinion from just from trial and error flashing. I am on Project Fi.
Have you tried connecting to other WiFi networks? Same behavior?

I have the same issue on my stock/ not rooted nexus 7 and moto nexus 6.. So I'm pretty sure it isn't rom related.

I don't have another WiFi network to connect to until tomorrow.. I'll try it then.

Are you using a mac address on it? And have you tried flushing and renewing the the address on the router? No other conflicts?
Hi, I had a similar problem on my N6p. I have 2 routers in the house, both use the same SSID. Thanks to WiFI Analyser I have fixed it. My N5, and other devices could 'see' and use both routers but the N6p could not 'see' the downstairs router which was set to channel 13 (2.4GHz). When I changed it to channel 8, the N6p could 'see' it. Bit weird that the N6p has this restriction.

Do you have any VPN or Proxy APP on your phone? If Yes check its config.
+ Check WiFi Advance option and set it to 2.4GHz instead of 5GHz or Auto Select

Okay I found out how to make it work.. If I set it to 2.4 from auto it doesn't work.. But if I set it to 2.4 from 5ghz it works..
I have no clue why it doesn't work on auto (including my other devices) it just randomly stopped working without changing anything

Well glad you got it working, but that almost makes it seem like you have a conflict on the 5Ghz channel?

It s Bug!
When you are near to WiFi It switch to 5GHz that has problem with Android 5.+
there is no solution other than manually set to 2.4GHz
to make sure completely about it works go to Router Setting and set different SSID and pass for 5GHz
Then on ur phone connect it to 2.4GHz SSID
:good:

As I know that Nexus will detect network connection via Google's service(such as ping GMS server).
Was them actually not able to open a webpage/Facebook page, or just showing no internet access?
