Hi all,
I am after a smart watch, but primarily to use different watchfaces with it. I am not after all notifications, calling and other features. Initially wanted to get a known Android Wear brands but the cost put me off.
So I went with a D5 initially but soon realized it limits me to use watch faces ( watchmaker and Facer Pro) as those are only for Android wear and they need to be mutilated and converted to a format the watch can recognize and etc.
Now I am trying to find a cheap Android Wear (or whatever watch supports watch maker faces), and I am not keen to pay $200-300 mark for just that feature. Have Chinese managed to up their games and make a real AndroidWear at low cost?
I saw there will be ELE watch but not sure when it is released.
Any help is appreciated
There's at least one I know of but the Chinese Wear based smartwatches are Chinese only language with mostly Chinese only apps.

Thanks, Apparently they released an English version, but I believe it is not Android Wear but some dedicated OS by the company, I might be wrong
The tic watch recently had an ota update that now has English language as an option. If you look at what the watch offers for the $150 price its a pretty good deal. The only thing I hope is that Google now services will be an option hopefully in the future.
The OS is a bases in android 5.1 to look like android wear but optimized for the watch with an option to load and use android wear apps which is pretty cool.

yes it do support watchmakers but with conditions:
1. you need to switch on the AW compatible mode (which is now AWC compatible mode)
2. you need to manually extracted out the android wear apk from watchmaker apk and sideload it to your watch
Does anyone knows of a low-end Chinese smartwatch (sub $40) with BLE and either an official firmware SDK or a reversed-engineered one? I'm just looking for some way to get my own code into the watch.
I'm looking for something which approximately looks and is priced like Xiaomi Miband 2.
I´m going to buy the Zeblaze Thor or the Lemfo Les1 and I want to install the atlas wristband 2 android wear app or the actofit android wear app to have the same experience of that smartbands in an android smartwatch.
The question is, does the android wear apps work well on android 5.1 smartwatches?
Thank you.
So we're almost at mid 2021 and after a whole year I saw my mi watch collecting dust and I was wondering if there's already a way to get the global version running on the chinese device. Or at least install google play. Lately google's been useless af and can't seem to find anything new about this at all.
Any help would be much appreciated. I'm never buying cheap tech again tho. Its 2021, no longer worth cheaping out.

For real, I decided on buying this device “before” the release of the global rom and as a result one year later I still have a Chinese watch
I've got the same problem. All apps and add-ons are Chinese. Although the watch is really nice, battery holds great, there is an English language available but still. Global ROM would be VERY appreciated. If anybody knows of it's existanance please let me know. Thank you.

So the question is, how to flash Wear OS (the newest version) to the Oppo Watch 3 Pro?
(This Watch is currently the best Smartwatch on (chinese) markt and you can already buy this watch from china online...
You guys may know that Oppo fails everytime again and again in bringing out an global version of this watch series.)
I just wanna use this watch normally in my language with all the normal features and apps.
So i don't wanna wait, is there any way to flash it, (cause noone needs Color Os) !?
I second this, in China now considering buying one. The chance of a Wear OS 3 rom would definitely push me over the edge to buy Anyone know if it's possible?
Hoping this comes true too
I just bought the watch 2 days back and didn't notice it's Color Os now am waiting for the rom so i can root it and switch to wear os
