Anyone tried rooting a Verizon P2XL with the KingRoot app? What are your thoughts?
It says "root strategy available", but I'm afraid it could brick the phone.
Tested on factory reset taimen verizon. APK and Windows Version both didn't work.

I after days of trying have, according to root checker, rooted my verizon s5. Now File Explorer still does not recognize root priveledges. I want the verizon stuff gone and the sim unknown gone from the notification. Please some hold my hand till this is fixed. Keep in mind this is my first ever attempt to do anything on a phone. Initial issue was switching from verizon to at&t. rooted with towelroot and checked with root checker it says im rooted. now what?

If you are talking about stock file manager app, it does support root elevation, use another file manager that supports root (ie ES File Explorer or Root explorer or whatever, they all do more or less the same). Please note that root mode doesn't come turned on by default, you'll have to dig on the setting of the app that you have chosen and find out how to turn it on
Hello I don't know if I can ask here but I can't root my device. I have tried almost everything, from the apk's and even on my laptop. I have a Lenovo A816 running on 4.4.4. I just got this phone, I'm actually an Apple user but my iPhone is being repaired right now. It's safe to say I don't know anything about Androids. I've looked all over google for guides on this phone but nothing comes up. I really want to uninstall some of these system apps. I've tried King root, Vroot' iRoot' framaroot, oneclickroot. I've literally tried every one of them to no avail. When I switched to my laptop, I used Kingo Root and it said root was successful but when I tried root checker it said my root is not installed properly, so no root again. Is there anything I can do to root it. This phone is Chinese. I'm in the UK.
Thanks
Hi.
So here's the issue. I was trying to root my Fire 3 LTE, and the root failed after hitting 90%. I was using Kingo Root. I thought that well, the root failed so I'll try again later when a surefire method is available. But now whenever I try running an app that requires my devices to be unrooted, it doesn't work. I've tried rom flashing, but wasn't able to find any official link to firmware. Factory reset didn't work either. Is there any way I can manually remove the root and reset my phone? Any and all help will be appreciated.
PS it's running Android 6 Marshmallow.
I have a Stock Samsung S7 from AT&T running Nougat.. I've tried https://forum.xda-developers.com/verizon-s7-edge/how-to/root-s7-s7edge-oreo-nougat-t3819616 to root my phone, The odin does it's thing.. the Root.bat does it's thing.. I get no errors, the phone reboots and has Flashfire, SuperSU, and Sefix apps on the phone that weren't there before. But I'm getting no root. I have tried every method under the sun that google has shown me on trying to root this phone, I have tried multiple ways from the various root processes here on the forums.. nothing...
I have a 3 year old galaxy s7 edge. And recently i tried to root it, and i think i didn't succeed in that completely. Because with root checker my device shows its rooted. But my supersu got disappeared after couple of hours. And i tried to install other root managers (king root) but now i cannot get root access to any apps.
My device is still rooted as per root checker. What should i do now? How can I unroot the device?
Which rom are you running?
And is a custom recovery installed on your phone?
Ultimately you want to unroot your phone?
Just want to do some banking
Stock android 8.0. And i haven't installed any custom recovery either. This is not my daily driver. This was my brother's old phone. So i haven'tdone any thing interesting to this device. I was simply using this for a second sim card only. Now i want to do some banking transactions from this phone and those apps doesnt let me from a rooted device. Is there an easy way to unroot this? Or an easy way to hide the root for the apps to work?
