I like to switch roms on my phone every X months or so, just to see whats out there.
it's a hassle, but it's a nice opportunity to clean my phone.
But after my latests switch i found out that the google now popup stopped on my wear device,
and i cant get it to work again.
So i switched to an other ROM, and google now came back.
But because of pour batty life i had to switch roms again.
and now, google now stopped working again.
I think it is because of an older version of google now on my phone, but i cant install a newer version.
Is this true?
Does the fault lies with the google now version on my phone?
and is there a way to update this to a newer version working with Android wear?
Version of Now on my phone is: 5.8.52.19.arm (using a OnePlus one)
(Attach file is a screenshot of my moto360 starting te google now app)
Google just rolled out a update for Google now on my phone and Google now returned to my Moto 360!
Google now version: 5.8.58.19.arm
I've upgraded from a nexus 6 to the galaxy s8+. I did not realize how much I took the google phone app forsaken its functionality phone calls Id's voicemail built into the app. Samsung's phone app is bare bones in comparison while I've tried installing the google phone apk it does not work, unfortunately. Does anyone know of a similar app that they would recommend?
I use Google phone app on my S8. I sideloaded it by installing apk file.

You go to APK mirror, then search with keyword "Wear OS" there will be the list of app run on wear os devices, then download apk and sideload to watch, app on the phone will name similar with out word "wear os"
example
Google app (wear os) is app for wear os device
and Google app is app for android phone
I am trying to use this with MicroG. It does not require a login, but it wants you to be in China. Anyone know of a way to trick the app into seeing you in China, or a VPN that will show you in China? If anyone has hacked the wear app to work in MicroG, please let me know.

No, but you can use it to start the install of Wear on a MicroG device, then you finish up with the non Chinese version.
Take a look here https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/eureka-wear-works-on-microg.4260681/#post-85121893
Wear Os by Google app doesn't work it's stuck on the logo page the only two ways to resolve this is to uninstall play services app updates but that brings another issue which is Google pay doesn't work with older version of play services the other way is to install wear Os China version but that also has its issues Google pay won't work on the watch if you do this, and according to the internet there are tons of people with the same issue since 2021 still no fix
