My phone accidentally got thrown into a bucket of water, and i took it out instantly, wiping it off thinking that no water got inside, cause when i turned it on it worked that day, and then after that day, while i was using it, the phone just rebooted itself, and when i try to turn it on it boots, but only on the redmi logo for a couple of seconds and it shuts down. Its weird cause when i put it om fastboot it doesn't turn itelf off, only when i turn it on normally it just boots the redmi logo and then shut itself off. How do I fix this?

Also, it doesn't let me get inside recovery
First turn it off. Put it in a Ziploc bag of rice or big silica gel packet for 3-5 days and do not touch it etc.
Turn it on and pray the system is still intact. Test if everything is working properly.
Rejoice if it boots successfully.
Replace or use for parts if it doesn't

I need some help, I borrowed a friends phone today. It was rooted and it bricked on him once before. I managed to ODIN it back to stock about a month ago and everything was fine for awhile. Today I was in PE (very hot, in a humid room) and the phone shut off. I tried starting it again and it just gets stuck in a constant reboot loop. If I plug it in to try getting it into download mode, it starts download mode and reboots after about 5 seconds.
If I plug in the charger, same thing. It reboots after about 5 seconds, goes to the boot screen, then restarts. OVER AND OVER AND OVER. I opened it up, checked all the connections (thought a ribbon cable was loose and unhooked and rehooked it, didnt fix it.)
I've tried leaving the battery out for about an hour, I've let it run on the reboot loop for about 20mins. Nothing works, I cant even get it to stay in download mode to ODIN. Any ideas? My friend told me that it had random reboots occasionally, but never like this.
Could possibly be due to humidity so take off back, remove battery, wrap in tissue and then put in a bowl of uncooked rice, this acts like silica gel and will suck the moisture out, leave at least 24 hours in the rice, then retry.

I've had my Galaxy S5 for just under a month now, and it was working absolutely fine until today. It wasn't exposed to extreme heat or cold, it didn't get wet, the closest that could come being a problem is that the bottom, with the protective cover closed tight, was covered in chalk dust due to some art a friend and I were doing. I noticed around that time that my pin lock was glitching (see below). It continued to do so, and only got worse as the day wore on, until I got home and thought to restart it. After that, the pin wasn't glitching anymore, but my phone began freezing completely, the screen going black and the entire phone shutting off. Usually it didn't restart but occasionally it did. At first it only happened like twice in one hour, but in the last three hours it has progressed to happening literally once a minute. If I turn my phone on, it will immediately shut off if I am not perpetually touching the screen or any button, and even then, there's no guarantee it will stay on. I've tried starting it in safe mode multiple times and, if anything, that only seems to make it worse. My phone will not stay on for more than sixty seconds. The worst thing is that it doesn't even shut off immediately after the screen turns off, as evidenced by the fact that my computer still registers it as an active device for a while after it goes black, and doesn't register that it's off until I unplug it. What is going on, and how do I make it stop?

Are you rooted? Try a factory reset? You could Odin a stock firmware tar or even a full stock tar if necessary and see if that fixes it.

Apparently, it only lasted a day??? I mean, it's been working fine since this morning, so I'll let it be for now. If it happens again, I'll return it and get a new phone. It's not rooted or anything, this was just a weird, completely arbitrary (and apparently temporary) hardware failure.
So I dropped my phone in the toilet on Friday night. Bad, I know but it was clean unused water and only half of the phone went under and for less that a second, so I pull it out, turn it off, wiped it thoroughly with a clean cloth and try the old rice trick. When I tried to boot it back up, it was out of battery so, I plugged it in and it worked for a little bit but then turned itself off. Tried to go into recovery (not custom) and it scrolled itself down to reboot and kept repeating itself. I let the battery drain, put it in rice again and left it so overnight. Tried to boot it up and the same problem occurred. I was busy yesterday so I just popped the SIM into my mom's phone and took off so that I could deal with it later. I took it to T-mobile this morning and they're asking for $180 to fix it. I was wondering if there was something I could do myself to fix it.

Hello everyone, I hope you could help me with this. Three days ago I accidently dropped my Moto G4 Plus in the toilet, It was immersed in the water for about 5 seconds and then I took it back. I noticed that the phone didn't turned off so I removed the back panel and dried all the water with a towel. The phone worked normally until the next day. I was watching a YouTube video when the screen got freezed for 3 seconds and then the phone rebooted for itself a couple of times until started normally again. I kept using the phone for some minutes but the screen got freezed again but this time the boot loop didn't stop. During the loop the motorola logo is displayed for about 20 seconds then the screen goes off for another 3 seconds and the motorola logo appears again.
I'm able to enter to the bootloader menu pressing the volume down button while the screen is off between the rebooting, that let me turn the phone off but when I turn it on again the boot loop continues. I already made a wipe data/cache using the recovery mode but didn't work. Also flashed the stock rom again via fastboot just to discard any software problems but the boot loop persists.
I found and old thread (https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2638916) of someone saying something about the flex power cable but I'm not 100% sure if that's my case and I don't wanna take the wrong decision. Any idea what my problem might be?

U need to remove battery, dry phone pieces completely by putting it in 5# of rice for 72hrs in gallon ziplock bag with all air sucked out using straw @ corner of bag, then reassemble phone and fastboot flash stock again
Hello,
I'm a bit frustrated with A1 being in a constant restart loop. If there is some battery left it just starts, logo is shown and it reboots again. When it runs out of battery only an ambient light flashes.
Buttons ON/OFF and Volume UP/DOWN are not responding.
Is there a solution?
I have found one answer to remove the back cover and reconnect the battery.
Is there a way with flashing a ROM and not losing any data (because the content was not backed up).
Thank you in advance,
Sebastjan
Did it happen after you flashed a rom or update? Can you get to fastboot mode?
Unexplained restart loop
Hello,
Device was not flashed. It is my wife's phone, so I cannot be 100% sure what's happened but I think the phone came in contact with water (not dropped into water, but a bottle leaked in her bag). Then camera stopped working. I have restarted the phone a few (let's say 5) times. Then camera started working again. And then battery ran out and when plugged to charger the restarting story begun.

Then you have to open up the phone and dry it out. The contacts have shorted out somewhere. If you're lucky, everything should work ok after drying.
