I'll let you guys form your own opinion on this issue and what's been said about the company from various sources, but Tencent automatically has location rights checked on by default, and they're quite intrusive at that. Even if you don't have a Tencent app installed, it's there. For me both options were checked, and I am 100% confident I was not prompted to agree or disagree.
Just grab your favorite shortcut launcher (you may have to try a couple) and for sub-app activity lookup Samsung Setup Wizard:
(com.sec.android.app.SecSetupWizard).
Scroll down to Tencent Location Services:
(com.sec.android.app.SecSetupWizard.chn.TencentLocationActivity).
There should be two options with their default permissions enabled to track you then disable them.
I for one don't understand why they'd be there right from setup, it's a
third party company that quite a few I've noticed don't trust them, including me.
This might not bother some, but for those of you who feel this is a privacy intrusion I hope this helps you out and gives some peace of mind.

While Metro is a cool interface, without utilizing some sort of organizing scheme, it can quickly become a huge mess that makes it difficult to find and launch the desired application. The Metro Start screen allows you to not only create groups but also apply labels to these groups which allows you to organize Metro in your own custom fashion.

Hi,
I came from a Windows Mobile phone and I miss several applications for Android. One of them is Lorndragon's Phone Timer. It's concept is simple and useful; it's just a daily scheduler for auto turn-off/on phone, so you can have the phone off in the timetable you usually don't want to be bothered, I.E. at night time (and you save battery too).
This is a screenshot of the app:

So, my question is simple. Do you know any app, more or less similar, for Android? (for phone or for plane mode scheduling)
Thanks and best regards.
I doubt anything out there is going to work on a Nexus 4 without rooting. Google seems to be following some of Apple's lead by locking down more and more of the OS with each release. In 4.2, apps don't have permission to shutdown the phone state. If rooted, there are a variety of apps to do this, the best/most versatile/simplest of which is probably tasker.
Root is not a problem. Thanks for the answer, I'll take a look to Tasker app.
What is it:
Its a minimalist app, designed to emulate Briefing option in touchwiz based samsung devices.
A while ago I switched to CM on my Note 2 and this was the feature that I missed the most.
For those who haven't used it, its essentially does one thing, and one thing only: Instead of ringtone/alert/songs, it dynamically grabs news/stocks and reads it to you.
It does not replace or the stock alarm functionality. Instead it works with it. You can turn it on and off independently. Also, it is much more flexible and customizable compared to sammy briefing.
It is a WIP so if you encounter any bug or issues, do let me know.
Feature requests are also welcome.
Grab it from Google play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.parsecgames.dynamicringtone

As we know the Explorer edition of Google Glass lack of security features -- So there's nothing to stop anyone from picking up your pair, accessing your data and having complete control.
now developer Mike DiGiovanni has come up with an app to alleviate those worries. Called Bulletproof, the app registers when Glass parts from face and engages a lock screen, which can then be disabled with a user-defined combination of swipes and taps on the wearable's touchpad. It's good to see the dev community already putting out useful software, but it does make i wonder why Google didn't think of it first.
and what do you think?

Does Glass have a user-facing camera? (If not, I wonder how the re-enabled wink trigger works?)
i think it have .
$1500 is too expensive:crying::crying:
I was going through SD Maid and freezing apps, when I came across an app called "OPAod" com.oneplus.aod, and in my overly hopeful mind, this could mean OnePlus AlwaysOnDisplay. I went through the bools and found some similar code to that for the Pixel 2, "doze_display_state_supported". Did a cursory Google search for the package, and couldn't find anything outside of file hosts. Any thoughts?
(My work computer blocks imgur, so I'm not sure if the pictures will work)

Google added an always on display option for all its phones including the Nexus ones as part of the Oreo update. It's possible One Plus is considering a similar feature but hasn't enabled it yet.
