VZW G975U Wi-Fi Will not find IP Address... - Samsung Galaxy S10+ Questions & Answers

I've fully updated to v23 of the OTA Firmware and can not get wifi to connect telling me it can't get an IP Address. I've tried Hotspots and my Work/Home Connections. even going as far as resetting the routers and setting a static IP for the Phone MAC address...
Then this morning using ODIN to flash the latest G975USQS4ETK2 Firmware... Still nothing.
None of the online "fixes" for this have worked but none seem to be 100% the same issue I'm having. Has anyone else seen this with their S10+?

Wifi Problems On Cingular 8125

Hello to all
I have problems trying to connect through wifi on my new 8125.
After reading a lot of threads, i downloaded a program called hitchiker, who solves the wifi connection a lot easier and faster, but i keep getting the same error, the wifi connection appears, it connects but can not solve the ip address with the dhcp server and fails...
Can anyone told me if this is a hardware problem or a firmware issue?
my router is a netgear WG602 v2 with the last firmware available.
Thanks and happy new year to all!!
ddo you have mac filtering on? if so try turning it off
No, i used to have a wep security password, but i reset all settings on the router to factory, to try to connect.
i also have a laptop and a psp and both connect great!!
dont know what the problem is here, but its frustating...
I make it to work
first i did a hard reset, then i check on the log of the access point, and it was going through and forwarding the connection to the adsl router, but the problem apparently was on the dhcp server on the router.
i add a fixed ip, and now it works
still not working on dhcp but at least its working...

I'm having almost the same problem.
First I've tried to connect on my open lan in my house. I could connect, but couldn't get an IP automaticaly.
Today I went to the mall to try some open wifi lan. A friend of mine, with a Nokia n80 succsessfully connected with one of the hotspots. I've tried and couldn't get an IP. Suddenly, don't know why, I got connected, but couldn't surf at the web.
Then I realized that the fixed Ip that I've set before was still on. Changing it for dinamic didn't work.
So, I still can't get an IP.
Any Ideas?

Hermes 300, T-Mobile WiFi Problem

Hi:
I have tried searching this forum and I cannot find anything that clearly solves the problem. I do not have a corrupted MAC (Media AccessControl) address. I have flashed several roms and still no WiFi. With one rom I could connect with a static IP but I never can with DHCP. I would get part of a lease but the issue time was set as 1 sec. after the the expiration time!
The wifi router issues good leases to my laptop.
Now using T-Mobile OEM 6.0 rom. I can access the net with a static ip.
TIA

[Q] Touch Pro 2 Wifi DHCP problem

My TP2's wifi has never worked properly. I've used the official 6.1 VZW rom, and flashed multiple times with custom roms and am currently using Energy 6.5.3.
I've noticed that although my phone will associate with the AP, it will fail to get an IP address 95% of the time. If I hard code a valid IP, it will function correctly.
Is there a known issue/fix with the wifi radio on the TP2? WEP/WPA2, AP distance, B/G have not seem to made any difference. Sometimes (VERY VERY rarely), it will just work, but the overwhelming majority of the time, it will just fail to get an IP address and auto-assign itself a 169 address.
I have tested this on multiple networks (home/work) and validated that my laptops (personal, and work issued) can connect fine. I have ruled out mac filtering, passwords, wep keys and certificates... it seems to be 100% phone centric.
Lastly, running android exibits the same problem. Android will not connect to the wireless network, unless i manually enter a static IP address. I have validated connectity by connecting to the routers web interface.

Focus wifi

Just Got a focus from america (i live in the uk). Everything seems to work, except the wifi. It just says connection unsuccessful your phone couldnt reach the wi-fi network. . does anyone know how to solve this issue ?
Is this a home router or work router your trying to connect to? Some people have reported that having the router assign a static IP worked, because DHCP was assigning a IP address that was already assigned to another device.
If it's a corporate router MAC address filtering maybe enabled & your phone's MAC address may not be in the list of allowed devices. It could also be that you haven't loaded the required certificate to allow you use of the router.

Wireless G problem

Hi Guys,
I have a Vodafone branded GS2 that came with KE1 out of the box. I have flashed the phone to the stock KE7 rom but have run into a problem with wireless G.
When connecting to the access point it connects fine and gets a valid IP. I am able to ping the router and devices on the network can ping the phone but the phone is unable to view web pages or access the store etc.
On wireless N i get none of these problems. The G problem is occuring both at home and work.
Any Ideas?
thanks,
Ed
a long shot, but try changing the security type on your router. some hardware works better with TKIP
The thing is it is multiple routers where I have the problem. Will try my spare router I think.
I am not sure whether we have G radio at work, but I have the same problem. At least it is working fine when I fill IP, gateway, mask, etc. manually. So, it looks like only DHCP is not working properly (maybe only gateway is wrong, because it says I am connected, but it is unable to load web pages).
