i hope someone can help me. I tried to update this head unit with android 10 and now it ended in that the unit is unresponsive. The screen is black all the time.
Even if i try to enter the android rescue system by long pressing the reset button the unit keeps displaying nothing. I then contacted Pumpkin to give me a proper firmware and i got a link to an kupdate.zip and an update2.bin, i then placed these files on a sd card, but as i said im unable to reach the rescue system. If i unzip the kupdate.zip and place the files on a sd card which i insert into the gps slot the radio seems to boot from it. The display turns on and grey artifacts appear. It seem something is happening but im unable to see what.
Does anyone have an idea what i can try to get devices reanimated?

Hi guys!
So i got a generic Allwinner T3 K2001m head unit from a friend the other day, and it has Android 7.1 installed on it, with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of storage, however, only 1.94GB of it can be used to install apps and such, the rest can only be used as "media" storage. Is there any way to increase the storage available for apps? I tried putting in both an 8GB SD Card and a 32GB SD Card and then format it as internal storage but i don't even get that option in the Settings menu?!? The manufacturer really modified the settings on this head unit and removed a lot of the settings you normally find in the settings app...
Anyways, if someone knows how to resolve this i'd be really greatful!

i want to install custom rom or atleast newer version. (rooted version) (the best would be android 9 (Hal9kmod or malysk mod))
I had problems with installing other files:
i cant open recovery mode
and i cant make installation popup from sd
i tried phoenixcard but it didnt work-

New to Android modding and already having issues, i have been trying to update the firmware on my Xtrons PX5 head unit and for some reason it won't see the MCU file. I have manged to do it on a previous unit but got a replacement under warranty but cannot remember how it was done had issues then as well i think.
The current MCU is MTCE_GS_V2.85f_3 and i have tried to put MTCE_GS_V3.17bd all the way down to 2.88bd but the head unit will not find any of the files, i'm using a SD card formatted to FAT32 with just the image file copied on it have tried it was the unit switched off every but not joy, any help please?
hello me head unit seems to have this preloaded but when i press the navi button it says the sd card is missing,there isnt one in it can i just download the card contents onto a normal sd card and does anybody know where i could dload it from please

by the makers as when i reinstall the android after an erase it still puts it on
Hi there! I got my switch modded by someone because I was total noob and wanted to just , pay a guy, get my switch, and do what I wanted to do with it. Anyways, after having my switch for over 2 years now and enjoying it, I decided to install Android on a New/Fresh SD card so I can boot Android on it. So, I had no idea what was installed and from what I gather, I can't load TegraRCM as I have a hard-soldered TrinketM0 chip to skip the JIG/RCM Payload injection step. ... I guess? lol, sorry, I am not very good at this stuff.
Anyways, I have a folder named "0" that it seems the chip looks to and whatever payload .bin I need to use, I need to rename to "start.bin" for the chip to recognize to boot whatever I want. So here's the step by step that I do now. I install the lineage zip from https://wiki.switchroot.org/en/Android/Setup-10 that is explained to me. I also got gapps zip and the joycon zip because the purpose of this is to remote play my xbox (im a nerd...) on my switch and I do all the things correctly and I actually boot in Hekate, I do the Joycon dump, I do the 16gbs Android partition and then when it comes to "More Config" step of booting Android 10 for "Switchroot Android" , this is where I have things not working anymore. I click on it, I hold the Vol+ button and .... nothing loads. I also tried to "Flash" my SD card with this link "https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/rom-unofficial-8-1-switchroot-lineageos-15-1.3951389/" but it seems to corrupt my SD card. I have a 64gb sd card and I tried flashing with the 64gb download and the 32gb download. Also, I should mention I am on a MAC (Please don't start a PC vs. MAC thing). I am assuming I can't load "Switchroot Android" because I need to rename it "start.bin" somehow? When I click on "Switchandroid Root", Hekate IPL logo loads but then, it just goes black... all this is while I hold Vol+ and I have waited for over 2 minutes and it is just a black screen. I am super confused and I asked on a few discord channels regarding this and I was ultimately referred to this forum.
I formatted my 64GB SD Card to Fat32 and also tried formatting it to ExFat just in case.

need to use hekate payload. you have to name hekate payload as payload.bin
my android switch have trinketm0 in it.
also need to run archive bits in hekate if you can get hekate to run.
