Problem Adding Maps to TomTom 4.4

Hello,
My apologies if this has already been covered, did a search and didn't see an answer to my question.
I've just installed TomTom 4.4 on my WM5 device. It seems TomTom will only recognize a map if I install to the device itself (ROM) and not the storage card. Everything seems to go ok during the install process when installing to the card but then TomTom won't recognize that a new map is present once I launch the program and tell it to "switch maps," I only see the map I have installed in ROM, not the one in the storage card. This is obviously a big problem since maps can be over 100 megs and there's no way I can fit that in ROM. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
Edit: gps.cab, ttn.cab, and the voice .cab file were all installed to the storage card if that helps any
TomTom 4.4 was not designed to work with WM5...
As far as I knew only tomtom v5.1 works.
however there were problems with the maps, whereby I had to take my mem card out of my pro, put in a mem card reader, then run the setup disc, and install to other location, this should bring up the removable drive as an option to install to.
worked for me, but I installed ver 5.1

[ENQ] How to transfer GPS from micro sd 2gb to another 16gb micro sd

Is it feasible? i have tried to copy all contents of the micro sd 2gb to the 16gb but unfortunately it did not work...It is feasible?
Yes, I've done it. If you have already run the install for copilot, there is a folder on the card : - Copilot\SAVE on the original card which needs to be updated on your new card. Once I'd done that, it ran fine.
Any problems, PM me.

Well, I suggest you start with a blank 16GB card, and copy everything from the 2GB card to the 16GB card, and see how you go.

Unless the garmin software has been changed to check, prior starting, for the microsd's size, or S/N or whatever, in order to forbid duplication on other media, the process of moving data and apps from a card to another is simply mirroring its contents on the new card, everything will work.

Losing Files help

Hi,
i have a 8gb class4 sd card, how does the 2gb install affect this.
does it mean i can only use 2gb of my card or does this mean i can only install 2gb of apps?
the reason i ask is that i had a lot of music and pics on my sd card the first time i installed android and everything showed up and i was a happy chappy.
Then when i go to swap files over plugged in via usb connection (on android or winmo), the files transfer but then dont show in music player and dissapear from the card altogether after a reboot in android but can be browsed but not played and the original files still stay even after deletion. its the weirdest thing ive ever seen.
i had some issues with the card having corrupt files wiped it/error checked then reset my winmo install and installed android without resident .mp3 files on the sd, added some mp3's all good added apps to android and back to square one. unable to see new files and old files cant be got rid of correctly.
maybe my sd card is at the end of its life?(only 5 months old but well used) might of been unplugged live a few times but still works when if damaged they are virtually unreadable.
mattc's nexus v1.1 was my reinstall after using the previous version, apart from this issue it ran great, but the music function no.1 for me
any help/thoughts more than appreciated
bump
bump, again just transferred files and they dont show
You may need to reformat the card. They recommend this each time you install a new android build.

Apps on SD

Is app2sd possible on flipout?
yes with app2card go here

seems to work but with some bugs, I just got back from the store with my new 16gb micro sd so will try it out now
I've installed ver. 2.6.2. It runs and wants to grant permission to system data and that's all. I can't navigate in the area of this app (like the touch screen doesn't work). I've tried 2.7.6 but can't be installed because of parsing. Any ideas?

[SM-T295] Scratching right side of the head, with the left hand...

I have this tablet... Samsung Galaxy Tab A, SM-T295, One UI 3.1, Android 11, Build RP1A.200720.012.T295XXS5CWC1 and XID firmware.
I only use it as navigation device and here is the problem. The tablet only has 32GB of internal memory, and the TomTom Go app + the European maps have about 16GB. As soon as I install them, I get the notification to erase some space.
I bought an 128GB microSD card, but I can't format it as internal memory.
I tried to use some third party app, to move the navigation app to SD... only the main app moved, the subsequent maps downloaded no. And as soon as the app itself updated, it was again on the internal memory.
Someone told me that root-ing it will solve my problem. I've tried ''something'', but after a much more carefully reading I've realized that it's not possible. (What I've tried was to install TWRP Recovery, but other than unlocking my bootloader and flash ''something'' and get errors after that... nothing really worked).
Now I've downloaded a new copy of the firmware (I hope it's the original one) and I'm about to flash it.
But still... is there any other way to solve the internal memory problem? Other than root-ing it or buy another tablet
