The Xperia Project (Video Reviews)

Hey Everyone I just wanted to get some feedback from everyone on a youtube project I am starting. I want to make some video reviews that can show off some off the things the X10 and X10 mini can do.
I know a lot of people are not happy that we have NO MT or 2.2 but the X10 is still a great phone and I want to show everyone all the reasons why.
I have posted one already showing the X10 running psx4droid
http://www.youtube.com/user/xperiaproject
I know there is no audio and only background audio right now, but I did not have it on as it is choppy. The videos will get better and ill try to keep my reflection out of the screen . Thanks for any and all feedback.
If anyone wants to help with the project or has any ideas please let me know.
I hope this does not break any rules and if it does I'm so sorry and mods please feel free to close this post if needed.
I am sure you get more audience if you add the vibrator apps or light saber apps so the iphone user will be jealous of what your x10 can satisfy you every night while their iphone can't.
Thanks for the views everyone, if you have any comments or ideas im open to hear them. Thanks everyone

Buy a new camera.
I plan to, thanks for the feedback.
I think a demo video of the x10 running ADW would look great with the right settings/ background etc.. it swipes really smoothly a looks great switching from portrait to landscape, and into and out of preview mode... (Running on my X10i with R2BA026 !!)
Thanks for the Idea I will work on that.

[Q] I seek help and guidance

Hello everybody,
I am terribly sorry to do this to you, but I'm writing this on a very crappy tablet as my PC has run into quite a number of problems. That makes it very hard for me to dig for the info and my phone should arrive tomorrow. Anyway, now that I have somewhat justified this mischief of mine, I would like to ask you, the G2 people, a few questions. As I stated earlier, I ordered a G2 and I would like to root it and slap a good AOSP/Stock Android/AOKP/Nexus-ish ROM on it as quickly as possible. I have to do this over a friends PC, so I should tell him which files to download in order to make his life easier. Now, let's get to the questions. I live in Croatia (which is a part of the EU) so will I get the d802 variant of the phone? Which ROM would be most suitable for my needs, which are GTA San Andreas (when it comes out, trading a kidney for an early release), listening to music, a stock android experience and good battery life? The camera could come in handy because of all the holiday events taking place in the near future, but good camera quality isn't that much of a factor. Again, I am very sorry for asking these questions. If I had a normal PC, I would have searched for the answers myself, but I am desperate here. I'm going on a trip to visit my friend soon and I'd love to go there without the LG software and also without my phone getting stuck in bootloops or with bad battery life.
Thanks in advance!
Hi!
There's two paths:
Modding the stock rom
Benefits
Stable, fast
Excellent camera and audio quality
Bug free
Cons
Takes some modding in order to get it the way you like, if you like AOSP
You don't get the quick pulldown live tiles function from AOSP no matter what you do..
4.2.2
Recommended mods:
ROM and mods
StockROM from g.lewarne as a basis is a good choice
iOS7 navbar, looks just really nice in general
iOS7 icon pack 'Ios7 Flat' (dig around a bit for it) in conjunction with Unicon - an Xposed module (on Play Store) for nicer icons. Yuo can also use other icon packs of course. I say this because LGHome is recommended instead of ie. Nova Launcher, it's just smoother and nicer on the G2.
xdabebb camera mod for even better camera quality (the original app has its flaws)
Volume increase mod, the sound on stock is a bit low
V4A Viper4Android for even better sound
Freeze any unneccecary LG bloat through Titanium Backup (there's no need deleting them as the space isn't available anyway
iFont - changed system font to Helvetiva Neue, if you want the KitKat look you can change it to a light version of Roboto.
AOSP rom:
I've heard that Vanir rom is the smoothest atm
Pros:
4.4.x
AOSP apps
Lightweight
Cons
Unoptimized kernels
Not better battery time or performance
Feels rough around the edges
The implementation of things like the LED and 'knock off' and 'knock on' functions are not very good (you will learn to love them!)
audio quality is very bad, aosp camera also. there is a port of the LGcamera.apk, but it is very buggy unfortunately. Will make you upset very fast!
Thank you, you have been very helpful! I just might stick with stock for a while, at least to the end of the holidays.

Good luck with that, my preferred choice is stock, even coming from a Nexus 4, and being very design-concious

I couldn't resist, I simply had to flash stock Android. OmniROM first boot happening as I'm typing this.

Please write some opinions on the camera quality of OmniROM. I'm a new user as well, still on stock though and I'm curious as to how the camera quality is in OmniROM.
Pozzz.

I've spent quite much time with many ROMs and the best I find in CyanogenMod 11. I get 0% battery loss over the night. I get the latest software with best features of CM. I get above 31,000 Antutu benchmarks on this ROM and GTA San Andreas works flawlessly! Don't forget to use the latest TWRP 2.6.3.4 and you're good to go with this amazing phone. You can even get the quick remote and the LG camera apk on CyanogenMod. Good luck!

Slimkat doesn't have many issues... its very nice small and stable as well. instead of knock off use the navbar ring to set lock screen on a vertical swipe knock off problem solved until it is fully implemented. knock on works perfect. Great KITKAT rom.
stockmod rom is EXCELLENT no other way to describe it - my only issue has been audio quality when playing on my stereo through jack is very crackly...

LeEco Cool1 dual

Hello,
I was wondering what do you guys think about this phone: http://www.gsmarena.com/leeco_cool1_dual-8272.php
I couldn't find anything anywhere except couple of rewievs on youtube.
It has ok camera, ok specification and good price(170 usd on geekbuying),32gb internal storage is not problem
I'm just not so sure about aftermarket rom support, because phone is not so popular.
Or could you recommend me anything under 200 usd that has fhd(max 5.5 inch), min 3gb ram, good battery, good camera and usb typ-c (I don't want micro usb because after one year of use it always start loosing connection,..). People are saying Xiaomi note 4 pro is downgrade from note 3 pro and note pro have worst camera, is expensive, but yes aesthetically better loking.
Thank you all in advance
Good phone

I acquired a Leeco Cool1 at this week, I researched a lot and I came to the conclusion that this is the best device in this price range.
Lack of support from the developer community, I only found a few Italian forums with some tips...

In this forum, we can found some information and tutorials:

Sorry if can't post third-party links...
This phone is awesome. 17s firmware is rock solid stable but you will have to manually install gapps and disable chinese apps.
The chances of android 7 are really low. There are instructions for flashing etc. at 4pda.ru but you need to translate from russian.
Anyway it is the best phone under 200$. Stable 8-10 hours of screen time (2 days of active use), nice photos at daytime and best in low light. For a low budget phone ofc.
At latest firmware leeco added electronic stabilization, but looks like they only did it for 4k. 1080p and 720p uses variable framerate and sometimes it drops to 9fps. And 10mins of 4k is 3gb. Without possibility to expand memory it is really dull.
Video is the only controversial part of the phone.
Otherwise it has great camera, great battery, nice screen, and is capable of playing graphics heavy games. Absolutely best value for your money
good phone. recomend.
more info here http://www.leeco.re/forum/153-cool-1cool-1c/
Any1 found a way to ROOT cuz I got chinese version that is pretty much unusable in Europe
great smartphone and best user interface
like the phone ....has a top notch perfomance and best feature is its in-cell display gorgeous colors good viewing angles
here instruction (in Italian, you can translate it with google) to root and install another ROM

When you have problems with translation, just ask, I am Italian.
please anyone make rom on cool 1 dual c103 please
good
When I make a filming with very loud sound (show) the video gets the audio completely truncated
please make some rom for this device
Please someone do something about development support.
Please someone do something about lineage os, for cool1 dual, it is really necessery since it doesnt have a good support from leeco or coolpad..
pls someone just do anything to port a custom rom to this phone
Good Hardware though. Don't talk about software or Android development community.
Great phone, available for fantastic price right now, but lacks good ROM.
How about ROMs from LeRee Le 3 ? They're exactly same phones, do ROMs for LeRee work on Cool 1?
Russians did even find a way of enabling LTE B20 band on LeRee, so I wonder if it works here too.
Question is, which Cool 1 is it equivalent of: C103, or C106?
EDIT: Found this:

LeRee Le 3 ROM if anyone is up for trying.

All the details here:
http://www.leeco.re/topic/2588-leree-le-3russian-cool1-rom/
There's 4PDA refrence link in there and in 4PDA they claim it's from C106, so looks like theire LeRee L3 is Cool 1 C-106.
It says it works on other Cool1 models too - that's all I can understand - my Russian is rusty already.
Here's English google translation of 4PDA website:
https://translate.google.com/transl...6801&st=7680#entry63402756&edit-text=&act=url
Quick update - guys on my local forum started using the ROM already.
Installation is the easiest - in most cases it will work as a manually pointed update from the Update app in the Settings menu. You only need to place update.zip file with the ROM in the ROOT folder on the phone's memory.
It's the only official ROM with multi-language support and OTA working !!
Guys is there any lineage of custom rom for coolpad cool 1... If yes please send the link

General Cinematic review of Nothing Phone1

Hello members,
Along with my team, we have made a cinematic review of Nothing Phone 1. Just share your valuable feedback to improve us better. If it is not allowed, first of all, I will be really sorry & thus kindly delete the thread.
Fingers crossed
nice review!
Really nice
Video Review is the good word.
Congrat for this review, very useful for all customers with some questions. Personnaly i like my Nothing, like my previous OnePlus before 8.
Just FYI Battery life is amazing in my case with a 7.5/8 hours SOT, far of your 6 SOT and with a true usage (Video, Games, Chat, Call, Web). I have Root and deblot useless wakelock/service, pass all my apps not needed to be on background in restrict usage.
You have right for some point (Glyth color/Optimisation) but for me, for the first Nothing phone of the Nothing brand it's already really good.
