I've reset this thing 4 times and none of the times does it recognize there's a sd card inserted. Everything im finding says to format sd card, format thru pc, unmount... etc.. none of that works. The hardware is not recognizing a sd card was inserted. Did resetting this thing cost me sd card readability?

I have been using a 4GB micro Sd card for some time now.
But decided id fork out for a 16GB atlast.
Fitted the 16GB last night, No problem, Bought FPSECE 0.10 support version and a few games.
Today at work, Lunch time I pulled out my htc hd2 to enjoy abit of gaming and showing off the phone, But the Sd card was not found. I restarted the phone several times, tried everything, then decided I would format the phone.
After a format, The card was found again! yay I thought, but lunch was over so,now im home from work, The SD card is no longer read... I have now tried my 2GB micro SD card, My 4GB Micro SD card and my 16GB Micro SD card, All of which wont detect in the HD2, But will in my ORBIT 2 and PC card reader.
Is it a software fault, Or a hardware fault?

Just formatted the phone again. Instantly the Sd card was readable.
So I formatted the card from the phone..Now just hoping for the best.
My guess is some software must have had a bug or virus or something blocking the sd card from being read on the hd2.

Its SW problem not HW. I had a same prob after I installed the " tnyynt SD TuneUp " tweak. You just need to find what it is in your phone.Not easy task
Try different ROM-easier way
16gb sdhc card failed after restart.
When it is working (Straight after format) put anything more than 500mb of data on it and it screws up!
Data transfere is around 300kb/s!!! takes the monkey abit.
Then after a soft reset, Its gone again.
I conclude the SD card is defective. I shall be getting a refund.
Today my x started saying the memory card was blank. It will not let me format it or anything. Anyone else have this happen yet?
I have gotten a not recognized mesage before. I took the battery out and pulled the sd card out then booted the phone. Then turn the phone back off and try re-inserting the card.
Do you have another sdcard reader that you can test it in?

I just got a Droid X used. It didn't come with a memory card. I tried the 4gb card out of my Incredible but it wasn't recognized. I tried an old 1gb card. Not recognized. I bought a new 8gb card from Sam's Club. Not recognized.
I did a search here and this post is the closest to what I am experiencing.
I tried to format the new 8gb card to FAT32 just to see what happens. No success.
I have rebooted the phone several times, removed and reinserted the card, and made sure it is seated properly.
The Settings>Storage screen states the following:
Total space - Unavailable
Available space - Unavailable
Mount SD card - Insert an SD card for mounting <grayed out>
Format SD card - Format (erase) SD card <grayed out>
Any suggestions?
If this is a software glitch and rooting is an option, I can do that. I am familiar with rooting from my Incredible. I am hesitant to root with this issue lingering.

have you tried cleaning the sdcard slot? just a thought. if that does not work then its possibly a defective slot.

My phone can't read sd cards - i tried with two. Formatting does not help, even changed my ROM and nothing. Anyone have ideas? Thanks!

are you formating your micro sd to FAT32?
i have had a few problems with a couple of roms reading my micro sd..
try changing your rom and as soon as it boots do a hard reset, wait untill it boots again and now insert sd.
if sd still not recognised, keep re-inserting sd and restarting device untill it recognises it. (for me this did the trick for my ARTEMIS, a piss-take but it worked eventually)
try use sd formater
Tried the SD Formatter, no luck!
Also resetted the phone 5 times, with card plugged in and plugged out - still no luck.

My Sandisk Ultra 32GB microsd card is not getting mounted on my Moto X Play from yesterday on. It was working perfectly before that.
Problem in Detail: Yesterday when i tried to play some music only I realized that its not getting mounted. I tried removing the card and reinserting it. But it's not showing up any notification. When I went to 'Storage and USB' settings suddenly after reboot, its showing 'Unsupported' for a minute and is getting unmounted automatically.
Possible Cause: One of my friend connected my phone with USB cable to his laptop day before yesterday for transferring data. I dunno exactly whether its infected or he didn't eject it properly.
What all I Tried: Initially, I tried connecting it to my laptop using Card Reader. Fortunately, everything was fine inside the system. The file system FAT32, all the data it had, and no memory was unallocated. Afterwards I did a quick format and a complete format as well, with file system FAT32. Both didn't help anyway. Then I installed mini tool partition wizard. But haven't done anything with that yet.
Kindly help me with this ASAP.
Can you use your SD card with the phone ?I have the same problem - my sd card is not recognized by my MXP. There was some speculation that the SD card slot is not working properly or just damaged however all SD cards I have are working fine just nor with my phone.As of today there seems to be no fix to this bug.

I have tried this SD card in my friend's phone and it is working fine.
Afterwards, tried formatting the card from that phone, my laptop, (quick & complete with different names) and the tool "sd card formatter" (erased everytihng).
I even tried a factory reset of my phone.
Nothing helps. Really frustrated

My Droid Maxx 2 just received an update to 24.211.6. The update said security fixes. I have a Sandisk 32 gig SD card, and it worked fine before the update. After the update it doesn't even show in the storage settings. I pulled it and it works fine in my PC. I tried a factory reset on the phone, reformatting the SD card, and still nothing. Has anyone else had this problem, or any ideas?

Same problem, already test it with a Sony Sd Card C10, still doents read anything, i saw a comment on YT about Lexar SD card doenst seem to have this issue.
put tape on the sd card to make it thicker. The sd card does not have good contact on the pins.
