Any other way to pass Ctsprofile? - Google Pixel 4 Questions & Answers

Hi! With Pixel 4 to pass Ctsprofile I have to MagiskHide props force basic key to change my phone model. I wonder if this the only way to go?
Which model do you use for force basic key?
Also I am with the latest Dec1205 firmware and wondering which version of Android 11 is best?

Anyone confirm this Magisk rooting method will still pass safetynet on Android 7.0

Hello
I've read around this a lot here and elsewhere and I can't seem to get a definitive answer as to the best solution to the root I'd like. I would like to use TiBu and play PokemonGO (and perhaps use the Barclays UK banking app). It looked like Magisk was the way to do this with Nougat 7.0. This video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CjwSjiE76o8
Which is also shown here in a series of screenshots:
http://galaxys7root.com/galaxy-s7-s...s7-or-s7-edge-on-android-7-0-nougat-w-magisk/
...would seem to do what I want. But I expect I would use updated versions of Magisk etc.
I can see threads on here that would indicate that Magisk is now not able to help you pass safetynet with a rooted phone but I think that may be for updated versions of Android and 7.0 may still be OK.
Can anyone confirm that the rooting method shown here is sensible. Or, failing that, the best way to achieve what I want with a currently stock G930FD running 7.0?
Thanks
Maqgisk does by pass safetynet.
Magisk has it own root now built in.
the links you have provided user older versions of magisk without dated installation methods.
Install twrp on your phone then magisk v.14. you do not need any other files.

Thanks! That's the kind of definitive answer I was looking for.
Btw, which Android version are you on? I have an update available that I can download but not sure I should. As I said, I'm on 7.0 so not sure what I'd end up on if I updated.
As I like TouchWiz but would like to reduce the bloat, I am tempted by the Superman ROM, which makes the update point moot.

Stock build.prop fingerprint

So not seeing much on Google when I tried which is to be expected really... I'm calling for a little bit of help so I can make a modification to a particular line in the build.prop for the Z5c.
Since I flashed LineageOS during the night, I'm mostly back up and running save for one thing: Google Pay. Because of that pesky SafetyNet API (curse you Google...), I can't use it right now because the CTS check fails in Magisk. I've tried a couple things already to no avail, since that error is related to the certification for device compatibility for Play Store and other things.
Code:
resetprop ro.build.fingerprint OnePlus/OnePlus3/OnePlus3T:8.0.0/OPR6.170623.013/12041042:user/release-keys
I took this from another thread in the Magisk forum, but I need the stock Z5c fingerprint for whichever release, preferably the latest 7.1.1 Nougat firmware if anyone has it available. If I'd known I would need this, I would of gotten it myself. Hopefully someone can help out with this since that blasted CTS check is what's preventing me from using Google Pay at the moment.

1. You can install Universal SafetyNet fix and CTS will pass.
2. Google Pay won't work anyway because NFC issues on Lineage.
I went through like 40 of those pages and I've seen many conflicting reports about that particular module either working or not. Plus, it hasn't been updated since v14 of Magisk making it fairly old.

It works, I'm using it ATM.
So it is apparently. Too bad NFC is utterly broke for me in LineageOS.. oh well.

XDA Navigation Gestures won't hide the Navigation Bar. Does it work for you?

XDA released a Navigation Gestures app. But it isn't hiding the Navigation Bar on my Sprint LG G6 as it should:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/an...cial-xda-navigation-gestures-iphone-t3792361/
Developer options are on.
USB debugging is on.
Navigation Gestures Accessibility Service is on.
I issued the specified ADB command with no errors returned:
./adb shell pm grant com.xda.nobar android.permission.WRITE_SECURE_SETTINGS
I have tried toggling USB debugging, reinstalling Navigation Gestures, and rebooting.
Is it working for anyone else on their Sprint LG G6?
Device Information:
LG G6 LS993 (Sprint)
Android 7.0
Android security patch level March 1, 2017
Kernel version 3.18.31
Software version LS993ZV4
Security software version MDF v3.0 Release 1
It does not work, but you can make it work in settings, display, app scaling, and put 18: 9 to the gestures app. Give back all permissions and it works
I tried that and it did not work.
Do you have a Sprint LG G6?
Does the XDA Navigation Gestures app hide the Navigation Bar for you?
What software version is your LG G6 running? Mine is LS993ZV4
It WORKS on mine.
I only tried it on android 8, didn't test it on android 7 though. Have you tried to update to Oreo?

Nope, I'm not updating my phone in case someone figures out how to root it.
(This was the first and last phone I will buy without root)
Thanks for letting me know it works on Oreo.

Can't use the fingerprint reader on arrow os.

Good evening,
today I managed to install arrow os on my redmi 4 prime, followed by the root using Magisk and the basic pack of google apps.
The os seems much smoother, though I'm seeing that as unlock methods are present just the usual password/draw and similar. I tried to set a password, but there's still no option for setting the fingerprint.
Do you know if I should install more packages to unlock this feature?
I'm a little stucked right now, the fingerprint reader is a vital function for an os nowaday.
Thanks for reading and hopefully thanks for the help. ^^
I found some requirements that suggest this:
ROM Firmware Required: Latest Stock Oreo firmware else NFC and Fingerprint will not work!
Now there's a big doubt for me. I installed the os, but how can I install a firmware? Maybe this is easy syuff for you guys, but it's starting to be a little confusing for me >.>
Is there a way to get the updates I need?
