***UPDATE***
Had it replaced today and its now fully working again.
Hi everyone.
I'm needing to know if anyone has had the charging port replaced on the s10 series and whether it's possible. I have looked online and I can only find content from late February 2019 when the 10 series came out stating it was impossible due the port being soldered on the main board.
Hope it's not a main board replacement type of job.

Hi everyone!
easy question but I think I know the answer.....
My 3 pin wall charger has stopped working, no light on charger, no charging icon on phone. Tried it in 3 electric sockets...
I think, because there are no serviceable parts, like a fuse, it's for the bin... and buy a new one.
So I guess mobile fun, play.com similar for a new one.
Any suggestions ?

This is what i got to replace my charger when i broke. hasnt givent me any bother since i got it and it gets taken with me wherever i go so as far as i see, its quite durable also.

It must surely still be under warranty? I called vodafone and they just send out a new one.

Hi there I have a note 3 Sm-n9005 that was accidently charged with the cable from another device. I think the mainboard is gone. Its the international unlocked version and because of that I can't send it back to samsung.I was wondering if there was any other mobo I can use instead of the N9005(LTE version)? And if I can what would be required. By the way am outside of the US.
I have about 8 different USB chargers, from many different devices, including some chinese tablets, I use them all with Note 3, no problem, so either the charger was faulty, or wasn't designed for your voltage (like running 110 volt charger on 220V)? Anyhow, If the charger caused the problem I think you can replace just the USB port with tiny circuit board, since the damage should have been limited to that area. I'm not sure about MB, but they may have slightly different layouts and different radios, probably best bet would be to call shops selling those and ask, but again I would try to replace USB board first. Also MB won't come with USB port anyway and if damage was caused by charger, USB port is first in line to get damaged.
Thanks for your help pete. I didnt mention it but i got a friend to charge my battery for me in his phone, but its still not coming on. Thats what convinced me that its the motherboard.
Hi all,
I'm kinda stuck with a brick at the moment. Not sure what do. I have a slightly rare HTC M9 Plus Supreme Camera Edition. The headphone jack started to fail. Despite the obvious cleaning it. I decided to replace it.
I purchased the PCB, which also houses the Micro USB charging port. Disassembled and replaced - Turns on and voila! Sound worked fine again. What i didn't realize is that it now isn't accepting charge. Phone wouldn't hold charge. When you insert the charger you get a blinking red light and then it restarts itself.
The part form the M9 differs to the part needed for the M9 Plus.
The part i can find from anywhere appears to be made from a 3rd party - Could just be a cheap pos part.
Does anyone know where i could get the official part (posted to UK)? OR
Should i try and risk getting the same part again?
Perhaps the battery has shorted somehow, and it's calling for a new battery?
Could my problem lay elsewhere. The replacement went seemingly very smoothly - Maybe i've done something else in the process.
What do you think? The only is only 6 months old or so, it's such a shame that it has now been retired.
NB: When the problem occurred i did some research online and saw that someone with the same M9 Plus phone replaced this board and had the exact same issue.

I haven't understand if you have used the pcb part for the M9 Plus or the one for the standard M9, if you have used the pcb card for the standard M9 I obviusly suppose that it's different from the one inside the M9 Plus.
Hi, has anyone replaced their usb c charging port board?
I've searched some on Amazon but they are not OEM. I am wondering if the replacement will fast charge or not?
Right now my port is kinda loose and I have to position the cable a certain way for it to charge. And the slightest and smallest touch will knock the cable out. And it doesn't fast charge.

Yes, a few people have changed the daughterboard with complete success, however I remember one guy reported fast charging not working afterwards. Bottom line seems to be "beware" and shop carefully.... just like with batteries there are some faulty replacement parts out there. At this point it sounds like you don't really have a choice in the matter. No sense taking a chance damaging your phone (further) with a loose charging port.

I bought mine used, so within a month I bought myself a new charging daughter card and a replacement battery. I ended up buying two. The first didn't work for me, the second replacement I did a couple weeks later with the new battery. This time it worked better. I recommend you try to find an oem part or as close to it. For me the first part was slightly different than the original piece, but the second one I ordered looked identical to the original I took out. If you have not opened up the device yet, then watch some videos of tear downs and watch closely for the daughter card so you can compare against which one you order.
replacing battery and charge port was a huge success for me

Hi All, I have the hd 8 , bought it August last year for my kiddo, today tab is not charging, looked at the port and i can definitely see something bad happened, like kiddo pushed the cable other way round, anyone did replace their ports? Is it soldered on the main board? Would it be hard?

Hi I've not personally replaced a micro usb port on the kindle fire but I have done on other devices before. You would need a hot air station to remove then re-solder a new port onto the board.
If you take it to a computer /phone repair shop I'm sure they would do it for you
usb port is very weak on those kindle fire devices. partially broke off on 7 and completely broke off on 8. it actually broke off from the bracket which is suppose to hold the port itself to the board and of course those 5 pins did not live long after that. basically get a magnifying glass, very thin soldering tip and search youtube for HD8 disassembly. the fix seems to be easy, actual soldering - not really )
