Hi, i just bought an OnePlus 8 pro and i would like to get your opinion for a good kernel on oos11 and give me the why it instead of another.
Thank you
There's no such thing as the "Best" kernel. Its all personal preference really. I suggest you try out different kernels and see what works best for you. It also depends on if you are going to use a custom Rom or not. I've been using Radioactive lately and am happy with it. It seems faster than stock , battery life I'm not sure about. And I will probably stick with it until we get a Smurf Kernel, if we get a Smurf Kernel.
Agree, can't say which is best, trying some will be your guide.... I've enjoyed Blue-Spark!

Bonjour.
As the guys have said there is no "best" kernel.
Tbh these threads usually get closed.
Depending on usage. It's really down to what you want from your phone. As it's subjective each person has different needs.
Personally I stick with stock or Elemental X for stability and use their kernel manager to disable zram amongst other things.
Lower the max CPU speeds and add 300Mhz for the small core.
Besides that there's nothing more I need.
Only way to answer your question is to flash some and see.

And I've heard that xda-developers are thinking of creating sub-forums such as "General" or "Q&A". Do you think they will implement it soon!?!?
To answer you, yes they will and they are currently working on it!

Sorry for me the best one is this MIUI GINGER Version4.2 Multi-languages support
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1010498
I have in hands the enhanced TD-SCDMA version intended for China Mobile (modification 2013122) of Redmi Note, the one with MT6592 SoC 1.7GHz & 2GB of RAM (see the picture attached). But the device is bricked up to the preloader (bootloader), i.e. do not power on.
If anybody has that one, I'll be very thankful to help me while make the Flash Tool ready backup with MTK Droid Tools from his working phone.
Thanks for your support!
Do you have custom recovery?
I have a Xiaomi redmi note
I have a similar issue only after I installed a custom rom still stuck don't know what to do
I do have custom recovery though where it says my internal memory is 0mb
Twrp v2.8.1.0
Sorry, I forgot to post update here. The device appeared to be fake / nonoriginal one. Tried some dumps from clones, that I found on russian forum and finally succeeded to unbrick it. However the NVRAM was damaged, and my tries to recover it were unsuccessful. I gave up finally.
I have this problem.
How to solve this problem?

Hello there ,
I own Alcatel OneTouch Idol 3 4.7 and I am still so far on Android 5.0.2 ( the update without fastboot commands ), my question is : Should I root the phone and how? I read on other topic that in incoming MM update the fastboot commands are completely removed. The Stock Android 5.0.2 is pretty bad ( Sound is skipping, low battery, slow, laggy ). I had it already rooted once (also resized data partition), but that was before the 5.0.x removal fastboot commands and I could return to the stock pretty easily (with Alcatel Mobile Upgrade Q or smth like that). I want to know if there is a still way how to completely go back to the stock status from MM Custom ROM for assistence.
I have still problems with some pixels on display so I will have to send it in 2-5 month to assistence so I need to know if there is a way how to get the stock status again.
Also is there a kernel source? I would like to play with it
Thank you.

The request on facebook at Alcatel is: Will the idol 3.4,7 code 6039y-2BALWE7 be updated towards android 6.0? I ask the question because that made more than 50 days that the update towards android 6.0 was deployed in France. that starts to make long since the deployment in North America who started in June.
Their answer in MP facebook is:
Hello Valérian, As I have told you for 50 days, I do not have unfortunately an answer to your question. I cannot either help you because it is not me which manages the updates and when I get information near my superiors, I do not have more information to give you…
I called Alcatel by telephone and the operator told me that it is google which decides which telephone passes under the next version of android. I think that Alcatel makes fun of the customers. I think that it is Alcatel which does not want to update the idol 3.4,7 inches for the moment.
For who are searching TWRP for Poco F2 Pro / Redmi K30 Pro here we go
Poco F2 Pro
https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=4349826312261654180
Redmi K30 Pro
https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=4349826312261761273
Probably both TWRP work on both smartphones, they being essentially the same phone.
Finally! But its the Chinese version. Will this be a problem on a global rom?
Thanks ?

For the global version I suggest to use the one dedicated to Poco F2 Pro. I have a k30prozoom thus I have tested only its TWRP, although they should work on both phones.
Cheers
I'd be a bit careful with the version for Poco F2. Judging by it's name, it is for codename tucana, which is the Mi Note 10/CC 9 Pro, according to the Xiaomi Code list on https://c.mi.com/thread-1911812-1-0.html.
My F2 pro is still waiting for bootloader unlock, so i can't test that.

Hello,
I installed :
Redmi K30 Pro
https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=4.../androidfilehost.com/?fid=4349826312261761273
Hello all,
Since LineageOS is not available anymore for our G3 devices (thanks @HardStyl3r for your work, that said), I'm looking for alternatives, with some features : "official" (from a sufficiently stable entity) and regular builds, secure, as FOSS as possible. I have very little app-compatiblility constraints, because all I use comes from the F-Droid repo (no Google-dependant apps, then). So /e/, for me, is a bit overkill (I don't need microG, for example), but I does the job.
Last week, I dirty-flashed (by mistake, I forgot to wipe the partitions before flashing) e-1.7-r-20230111250687-dev-d855.zip above LineageOS, and the device just works. I replaced the default launcher (BlissLauncher) with OpenLauncher, which has nearly the same behavior than Trebuchet, I disabled the built-in apps that can be disabled (that is a known problem : some of them can't be disabled. I think the devs are working on it), and... voilà.
For those who don't know /e/, here is their website : https://e.foundation/
Anyone else uses /e/ here ? What do you think about it ?

Good morning,
Yes, I use /e/ I just installed it on a G3. Rather interesting to recycle a laptop from 2014-2015... Personally, I use a oneplus 2. Moreover, I have already installed this system for ordinary users. Not so lambda as that, because my friends and relatives quickly understood the interest of being able to no longer use a google account to install applications. Graphically, it's generally more sober, a bit like ubuntu mate for example, offers it. Everyone finds their phone more responsive than before.

Bonjour,
