Downgrading converted TMO 6T on 10 down to Pie - OnePlus 6T Questions & Answers

what's the best way to go from converted 6T on 10 back to 9/pie on international ROM with safetynet passing? Ideally I'd like to just install a simple fastboot package or at worst MSM. The bootloader will eventually be relocked. Essentially I want a international converted TMO unit with android pie with safetynet passing.
edit: for anyone reading this in future, you can simply just follow the same steps as the original conversion and it will take you back to 9.x global rom with google pay working
T-Mobile 6T to International Conversion (WITHOUT unlocked bootloader/SIM unlock!)
In the previous thread, we discussed a method to convert T-Mobile 6T's to the international variant, sort of, but it required an unlocked bootloader, which itself requires a SIM unlock which T-Mobile gives people a hard time about. However, it...

Anyway to Flash T-Mobile OnePlus 6T to Stock Oxygen Image?

I recently purchased a T-Mobile OnePlus 6T. When I purchased it I thought it was the unlocked version but it has T-Mobile bloatware apps and when you turn on the device it says T-Mobile. It's unlocked so it works with Cricket but I kind of don't like all the T-Mobile stuff. Is there a way to just flash a factory unlocked ROM and make it look just like a regular unlocked OnePlus 6T?
Short Answer: Google the exact same thing.
Long Answer: in the Guides section, there is a whole thread dedicated to this. Its a good place to get started.
There is a thread on converting it from T-Mobile branding to international model with a hacked Qualcomm Snapdragon processor tool that bypasses the checks. It's also a huge help for when you accidentally brick it.
I have converted mine so I can say that the tool works (currently running a custom ROM).

You could always root your device, then use root explorer to remove or replace the boot animation. Then use magisk and the magisk deblotter module to remove the offending apps.

T-Mobile 6t OoS 10.3.4 question

So I've been out of the game for a while when it comes to converting and custom things. Right now I am on OoS 10.3.4 and was wondering if I could backtrack to the international version or could I just jump over? I've been driving myself crazy trying to figure it out. Lol. Also, I haven't seen anything on unlocking the bootloader if already on OoS 10.3.4. I'm coming from Samsung devices, so don't roast me too bad guys. Lol. Thanks in advance for the help and stay lifted my friends.

You definitely don't want to ever downgrade unless it's using this msm tool. This is actually how I unlocked my bootloader on my T-Mobile 6t. By following directions on thread I'm linking here I was able to covert my device from T-Mobile model to an international model. Afterwards I then updated to latest OOS 10.3.4 full international rom... Careful because TMobile released a 10.3.4 OOS as well from what I've read on here. But running that patched tool converted me then I just did a simple fastboot oem unlock and selected to unlock my bootloader. Ill link firmware thread for international 6t here too. Will grab link after I make this comment and return and add it here in same post.
The msm tool allows you to downgrade but as far as I know trying to downgrade any other way will result in a brick,,which this same tool is also used to unbrick..

Thank you for the information. I'm on the T-Mobile 10.3.4 OoS. That's why I asked the question.

Flashable OOS firmware: https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-6t/how-to/oneplus-6t-global-repo-oxygen-os-builds-t3865396
I'm not sure as to if you can flash over. I wouldn't try it. I would follow first link I posted here and all will be smooth.
You can try some wild **** but I wouldn't if I were you. Far as bootloader unlock goes if your device is TMobile you must request an unlock code from T-Mobile and it takes 7 days. Then use code to unlock bootloader...If you covert you can just do fastboot oem unlock and your unlocked and then you can upgrade to whatever international version of OOS you want to be on and your good. Once you follow that thread I linked for converting you will then be on some ancient OOS international firmware and because your no longer TMobile model after running the patched tool from conversion thread no need for stupid code from T-Mobile to unlock your bootloader... Since your international model 6t now you can just do simple: sudo fastboot oem unlock and select yes on device and your then bootloader unlocked. If you want to stay on T-Mobile OOS 10.3.4 you can unlock bootloader just have to get code from T-Mobile and wait a week then use code to unlock your bootloader..
Request TMobile unlock bootloader code:
https://www.xda-developers.com/oneplus-6t-unlock-bootloader-root/
To bypass having to get code from T-Mobile and wait a week , converting to international 6t makes that happen for you..
(Edited)
@lunerceli
No worries, I have an OP 6T TMobile running 10.3.4 OOS and I just rooted/unlocked bootloader yesterday. As others have said, if you want to stay on 10.3.4 you do need to get the unlock code from TMobile, they'll email you a .bin file then you can go into ADB and flash it to unlock bootloader. The whole thing took 2 minutes once I had the unlock code. From there you can go about rooting it normally, flash TWRP/Magisk, custom ROM etc.
I had also thought about using the msm tool to downgrade to 9 and convert to international but I was scared about going to a lower version (didn't know if that would cause a brick) so I just waited the week for the unlock code.

T-mobile Oneplus 6T dual sim with Lineage

Hello, I haven't been able to find a clear answer to this in my research. I have a T-Mobile Oneplus 6T, if I unlock the bootloader and flash Lineage, will the dual sim work, or do I have to convert it to the international OOS first?
Thanks!

Since no one else has chimed in..... I think you have to convert it to international first to install LOS anyways. Going over my Guide thread, everyone with the TMobile version converted to International first. Feel free to try without first, worst case you run the conversion anyways I guess.
Next the TMobile 6T is not the same as a Regular 6T. It has a single IMEI, while a regular 6T has two IMEI. So even with "dual" sim working, there are instances where this might not work. Most common I've seen is when the sims are on the same network. So be aware of that.
There are several Tmobile users in the LOS thread, and that one is a bit more active, you could try this question in there?

Proper or working guide to return to stock? T-Mobile 6T

It seems there is no reliable way to fully return a T-Mobile OnePlus 6T back to stock. Found the following thread as suggested by another thread:
[TOOL] T-Mobile OnePlus 6T MSMDownloadTool [Firmware 9.0.13] [8/9]

On the very last page of the thread, the latest replies mention wifi not working after flashing stock. From my level of experience, this usually occurs when the version flashed is far older than the one that was already on the device.
Is there another thread that I should be following?
Currently I'm on the latest update.
You can lock your bootloader with it unlocked and international, so I don't understand why you would want to revert it back to the worse Tmobile version when there are no problems I have experienced with the my Tmobile version being unlocked to international

OnePlus 6t fully bricked

Hello, I tried to install the stock rom but it seems to brick the phone, now it only loads the fastboot mode and when I try to install the TWRP it only stays on the fastboot screen and does not go beyond
I tried to use MSMDownloader but when I hit start I get the error "images do not match with the phone"
What version of MSMDownloader are you using? I'm assuming you are using a T-Mobile branded 6T, as I get the same issue with the global packages. Try following this guide and using the 4.0.58 version and it's patch. That should let you get around the error.

That I do not know, but it should allow you to flash any fastboot images as if it was a unbranded version. If that does not work then I'd try some of the Android 9 versions of the MSMDownload tool.
