My tab freezes about once a day. It usually happens when I'm using the Flipboard app, but today it happened twice while I was using the Google News app. I restarted after it happened the first time, then it happened again soon after I restarted and went back to Google News.
My tab is up to date with the latest US firmware. It's unrooted, nothing modified. I do use Novalauncher, but I don't know if that's a factor. Is anybody else having this problem? Any suggestions on how to fix it?
Oneui 2.5 is buggy. Mine random restarts all the time. I installed Odin and went back to oneui 2.1
Try installing the latest update for OneUI 2.5 and see if that resolves your issues.

I have the September update installed, T720XXU1CTI. Does that include the OneUI update you're talking about? If not, what update do I need and where would I find it?

Try installing the November update via OTA and see if that helps. In the mean time try wiping the cache partition in Recovery Mode.

Can someone upload the leaked 3.1 update? I installed the leaked 3.1 update past Saturday but was having random reboots. So I downgrade it to 3.0.1. Now I'm having some "FC" error messages when I rebooted my TF. It cannot even check for updates now without a "FC". I am thinking about installing the leaked 3.1 manually, hopefully it will resolve the FC issue.

do a factory data reset. That should fix your issue.
Hi,
Like to check if anyone experience not able to update the new minor patch for 3.1. to 4.010.30. Background, I have recover my stock to 1.139.05_COM_GEN1 using step provided in XDA. After which I was able to update to 4.010.22. Today I receive an pop-up highlighting that there is an update to 4.010.30. I downloaded and try to update.
But it fail, at first I thought it is due to my 3.1 being Rooted. so I unrooted it. Same problem update fail. After that, I rooted 3.1 and use CWM to update the patch. It updated without any problem.
can anyone highlight experience the same problem? If yes, can we say that even we able to recover to stock ROM. We will still experience that same problem of not able to update for minor patch via the normal auto update?
update: Unroot and restart before install new update. By the way I got 4.010.38 today
coud you somehow post 4.010.30 to multiupload, since i did not get it.
it fixes some minor pb, the sound off problem when sleeping, and faster browser navigation.
I'm on 4.010.24_COM_GEN1. ...I got no further updates….…

I am having the same problem and have tried several ways to update.
I flashed 3.1 OTA (KF3) then tried to update with KIES but no success.
Will update you if I figure out a way
If someone is successful, please let us know
Thanks

I guess, for some reason 3.1 OTA is an I/O update. So far I/O tab owners haven't received the TW update yet other than that 11 MB update that locked the boot loader. I don't know if there's an 3.1 OTA for the retail version, that can be ODIN to get back the unlocked boot loader and then update the TW. In the mean time, you can install the TW posted by Doc, as I did and wait for the next update for the I/O tab owners, and flash that update when it's available. .
So far everything is working fine, even the Google movies, except for Plex. One of the guy, Darrin at Plex forum said that the fix won't be coming in near future. May be they should share their codes with some dev on xda, and I'm sure the issue would be resolved a week or so.

The one there seems to be from the IO version. Once you flash that one, you get the update for google movies, but not the touchwiz update.
I tried this stock 3.1 several times already but always get the 11mb update. I'm going to return CWM to stock and see if that changes anything.
I'm going to give it another go!
Please let us know as soon as you find out
Had the same problem after installingfile called hc ota 3.1 from one of the forums.
I had to restore to my last backup (original 3.1) and then declined 11.2MB update, connected my device to kies and getting update throw it.

Same output. Still getting the 11mb OTA and Kies does not allow updating or even transferring files.
I finally gave the UEKMB+ROOT a try but I deleted the superuser.apk to unroot it
Works perfectly and KIES does say I'm running the latest firmware version and now able to transfer files using it
Hopefully when they release the next firmware I can use OTA.

I'm using UELMB+Root, and I have the movie tab in the market. What you can do is, go to accounts and sync in the settings, remove the account and add it again. Also, clear data for market and videos application. Then open the market app, follow on screen instruction. Then open videos and choose your google account. I guess this should fix it. If not, go to CWM, clear cache and dalvik cache. Then reboot.

Just did the update. It says "Improve stability and bug fixes". Not sure what was fixed. So far so good.
Vesion info:
Android Verion: 3.1
Build number: P7510UEKME
Just updated myself. Does anyone know what was "fixed"
Were either of you two rooted? After I pulled the update, my Tab just stayed on a black screen and wouldn't boot at all.
I'm flashing a backup in CWM right now.
Nothing
Stock here, no updates available for me.

No root for me stock touchwiz. Applied the update and no problems so far.
My wifi 10.1 updated this morning. No changes noticed. Although a few widgets were removed from my desktop. I tweet @GalaxySsupport to ask for a changelog. No response yet.
No update for my UK device - what country have the updates appeared in?
Nothing showing for me either (UK).
I am on StarBurst.8.8.UEKMB with Pershoots 2.6.36.4 kernel from 8/19 (WIFI, VA in US, Rooted, CWM) and can pull down the update. I am not going to install it until I hear it is good for rooted users though.
According to Android Police ...
http://www.androidpolice.com/2011/0...ilable-for-the-samsung-galaxy-tab-10-1-wi-fi/
Samsung just started pushing a small, 3.22MB update to the Wi-Fi Galaxy Tab 10.1, most likely to address bugs that were introduced with TouchWiz UX. It's unclear exactly what the update fixes, only that it "improves stability."
I must warn you, though -- I accepted the download on my rooted Tab 10.1 with ClockworkMod recovery, and after the installation was complete, the screen went black (but remained on) and nothing else happened. After waiting for several minutes, I rebooted, only for the same thing to happen again. I was still able to get into ClockworkMod to flash a recent backup, but it was scary nonetheless. If you're rooted and plan to pull this update, then I encourage you to tread carefully.
To see if the update is available to you, head into Settings > About Tablet > Software Update.

Seems as if all of these minor bug fixing updates are looking to kill rooted devices.

See post #5.
I recently installing PA 4.6 Beta 6 on my Nexus 4 because Android 5 just wasn't working out for me. Unfortunately I've encountered a serious problem: my phone is now using about a gigabyte of data per day! I only noticed this when the default data warning limit kicked in, but initially dismissed it as a side-effect of downloading/synching everything after the install. I reset the data limit and thought nothing of it until 2 days later when the 2GB limit kicked in again.
I've installed Network Connections by Anti Spy Mobile which seems to indicate all the data usage is from Google Contact Synch. I can only imagine something is looping, but seriously how could it be using so much data!?
I've un-installed anything I don't use and turned off automatic backup, but the data flood continues. A search for similar problems hasn't revealed anyone else with this problem, so I thought I'd ask on here before removing PA and switching to Cyanogen Mod.
Cheers.
It's not the ROM causing this.
#stayparanoid
Yep - was never insinuating that it was PA; just that it occurred following the install.
Sadly I haven't been able to work out what was causing it and have had to flash a new ROM before heading back to work in the morning or my mobile provider is likely to have a fit. I've flashed CM and will see how it goes, but I may well come back to PA or go the PAC ROM route. I'm definitely a fan of the PA features and am grateful for the work done by the dev team.
Did you try to accept the 5.0 update while on the 4.6 beta? It would probably have come through a notification. If you told it to download, it will never stop trying until you clean flash

It was actually 4.45 I downloaded because I wanted a stable release. After install there were some OTA updates and I did download them assuming anything OTA would be fairly stable, but I didn't know/realise it would have tried to bring down a major new version (5.0). Looks like it could have been my mistake then for thinking it would just be updates to the version I'd installed.
I did take a backup before switching to CM so if I get some time I might flash the backup and check what version it is.

If it was the google ota, it wouldn't install anyway.
We have not provided an upgrade ota from 4.x to 5.x
Its likely you were still on whatever version you installed, but the ota was constantly trying to download
