On incoming calls, a call screening button is presented to the called party. If the called party presses on the call screening button the incoming call is presented with a message to explain why they are calling. When the incoming caller explains why he is calling that is not being recorded and is not being presented to the called party.

how do i do conference call with xda2
when i call some one, then put my friend on hold to call another friend.
how do i connect, so all three of us can talk at the same time
I know that if you get a call waiting beep you can answer the other call and there will be a button that says conference. That is a standard function. I don't know how to call another person and conference them in.
when i am on the phone with someone and another person is calling me i can anwer this call - unfortunately on htc I only hear nothing.
does manila/winmo/htc supports call waiting/conf calls and features like that?
I'm not sure what your issue is, but here are some details:
You can activate call waiting, if your operator supports it. here is how it works: you are on the phone with person A, person B is calling. While person B is calling, you'll hear short beeps (always in a row of two beeps) thus letting you know there is some 'activity' going on.
You can answer the second call and put the first on hold. In the meantime, person A will hear a sound similar to the 'beeeep-beeeeep-beeeeep' calling sound.
When you decide you want to make a conference, you simply click Menu -> Conference, and now you have both calls connected.
In case you have several calls on hold, you can select which calls you want to make the conference with.
I recently rooted and installed the Bi-Winning V2 rom for my vibrant. One thing I've noticed is SOMETIMES (quite often, but not every time) when I dial a number to make a call, ill hear a quick 2 beep notification and then the call starts ringing normally. What is this double beep??? I am not using any *67 or other *codes when dialing.
I get the same too. I think it has something to do with call confirmation. Beeps when your call went through successfully...i think
You can turn that off in call settings.
Go into settings, then "call settings"->"All calls"->"Call status tones" and unselect "Call connect tone".
While on the phone, I recorded a video (from the whatsapp attach menu) then sent it, but the caller on the other end couldn't hear me - I checked the mute microphone option in the voice call menu and it was ok and I tried hanging up and calling back but the recipient still couldn't hear me. I had to restart my N4 and only then could they hear me...
Any ideas?
Hi, I'm having two separate issues with incoming calls. Either it doesn't ring and goes straight to voicemail, or when I try to answer it if I just get silence and I can't hear anything from the other person. this happened both before and after the OTA

Same problem with Nexus 5x - I see and hear incoming call ring, answer, and there is no audio. I hang up, it somehow puts the caller in my voicemail. When I call them back I get their voicemail, because they are leaving me a voicemail. Outgoing calls work fine. Also intermittent issues where bluetooth audio out does not work, only fixed by making a bluetooth phone call or rebooting phone.
