[Q] Problems with recovery

Heey guys,
I have a huge problem.
I recently restored my Azure 1.01 rom back to defaults,
BUT now my phone won't boot
I tried to go in recovery on my Windows 7 x32 pc
And on Ubuntu and a x64 machine.
But I still can't acces the recovery functions of my phone.
My phone is rooted though, But in windows i keep getting the message that he needs to install the driver called "Qualcomm CDMA Technologies MSM"
I tried looking around for 2 days now but i can't find anything!
Please Help!!

You can load the default recovery by holding down VOL - and POWER, select RECOVERY, then press AND HOLD, VOL + and POWER to load update.zip which *should* load ClockWorkMod.
Try wiping cache and do another factory reset. First boot may take many many minutes
Edit: Also, no question under development! Mod, please move to general..

Wow tnx man for your quick response,
I tried your methode BUT it seems that it can't reed my SD-Card
When i select 'Apply sdcard:update.zip' it comes with a lot of errors:
Cant mount /dev/bl......
Cant find /sdcard/upd.....
I checked and double checked if the update.zip was there, it is!
And also i reformatted my SD twice.
But still it wont work i also tried to wipe everything but that wont work either.
I have also noticed that everytime i boot my phone normally it creates a .dm file on my SD!?
in case it is usefull my bootscreen keeps reappearing with everytime a shorter sequence
If yo can help my please!!!
p.s. I'm sorry i placed it in the wrong catagorie...

I thought that to but now the problem is that i can't boot at all!
That i forget to mention maybe!?
But the methode requires to have the phone working???

[Q] ideos x5 recover from pink screen HELP!!!!!!!

I am so confused .
Im very new to messing around with phones... yes you can call me a super super NOOB
my phone was already rooted and was running a
miui rom (Elite.ROM.v9.7.FIXED.with.Galnet.by.TerraMino_2012-02-18)
(oxygen2.2.2-u8800-test-110914)
i wanted to change it and tried to update CWM coz it was running an older version something like 5.0.---
i installed the file b518 and when i restarted my phone the phone got stuck in a boot loop.....
I can not access CWM
my phone does not come on and is in a boot loop
the only thing i can access now is the pink screen which i can view the image folder
Before this i had made a copy of my whole SD card on the computer...
so if n e files are required i can access it.
I have the zip files that are listed above
PLEASE HELP ME .....[/I][/B]

First, check if you have a normal U8800, not -51 nor Pro.. You can check it by removing the battery.. And, the files you had on sdcard wont help you :/
You can also try to flash another official rom...
EDIT: what happens when you try to enter recovery?

hmm..try it:
go to in pinkscreen, connect phone to pc via usb and replace recovery to custom; boot in recovery (power+vol.up), wipe all (data/factory reset) and try to boot phone.. or install another rom in recovery

ok i just checked and i have the normal u8800
I think i messed up the phone even more.
i got it to stock and upgraded the CWM to 5.5.0.4 i think the new'st version .
I got that done and then tried upgrading it to aurora 5.0
I copied the file on to the sd card and installed it thru recovery . it said sucessfuly installed but when i rebooted my phone the huawei logo comes up and then a blank screen would remain.
I could access the CWM and i tried to factory reset and wipe out all the data, and after i did and rebooted the phone boots into a blue screen.
when i try to get into the recovery mode by pressing vol up+ power button i still get the blue screen
when i press vol up+ vol down +power butten it goes into a pink screen but i cant access the image folder.
I cant access any of the memory's on the computer.
I tried hooking it up to ubuntu to see if the drives pop up, but still no luck.
as of now im in a fix i dont know what to do coz recovery mode is not opening up and only a blue screen is coming and no reaction on the computer.
PLEASE HELP IM GOING A LIL INSANE>>>>

hey my only access into the phone now is through odin
Im able to connect the phone and odin is detecting it... but i dont know where do get the
PIT FILE, Boot loader, Phone, CSC fils from... please guide me on where i can download those files from
im guessing thats my only way to getting my phone back to life...

DON'T USE odin and other flash tools for our phone. It will full brick your phone.
Did you re-flash B518?
If you did,connect Phone while in Blue (or Pink) screen on Ubuntu. Open the disk manager tool (or partition tool,I forget its name),take a screenshot and upload here.

I dont have access into CWM
Im not sure how to reflash it with b518... I have the file....
i dont have access into the memory.... i connected the phone to ubuntu and nothing poped up... its not detecting the memory.....
if this disk manager is a software to download please tell me.

Maybe the partitions on phone NAND is corruptted.
Disk manager (or partitio manager) is already installed on all of Ubuntu products.

Firstly let me thank anyone reading this in advance! Secondly let me extra thank anyone who helps me in advance!
Sudhodhan. How did you fix your phone?
I rooted my phone. Then I copied a new boot.img file into './cus_backup/image' directory and now the phone wont boot. It just keeps rebooting. I've looked through this forum but cant seem to find an answer. People with similar problems but not exactly the same.
When I go into the pink screen I cannot see the recovery image folder when I pug the USB from phone to computer.
My phone has android 2.3.5.
I cannot access the clockwork recovery mode (by holding power + vol up) it doesn't work anymore or at all?
I have Ubuntu and Xp on my computer.
When I connect phone to computer (while in the pick screen) ubuntu recognises a huwei device attached but adb does not see it. previously adb would see the device.
However when I let the phone keep rebooting endlessly there are moments when adb sees the phone. I have even opened a shell in adb on the device for a little while. but when I did I could not see any hidden directories or the './cust_backup/image' directory. I tried to push the original boot.img file over but that did not work either!
I am stuck.
If I could see the image directory while phone was in the pink screen I could copy original boot.img.
Any suggestions!

Hi Koffs,
First check if your phone is U8800 and not a variant like U8800-Pro (+), U8800-51 or U8800-H.
In the case you have a regular U8800 I would suggest you install a stock rom.
For now I recommend B518, find here the link:

can someone tell me what can i do?? i by mistakely formatted /boot. my phone when switched on gives a blue screen. please someone help.

In Blue screen,connect your phone to PC and wait 1 minute. A storage will show if you was in B518 bootloader. If the storage shows,please report here

i was using cwm and Mlora 0.4 ..... i had formatted /boot in cwm by mistake

I also had the same issue like you did.
I re-wrote everything into a FAQ. IF there's a problem anywhere, just reply in your thread. If its solved then the walkthrough is useful. If it doesn't get solved we'll just add your issue into the list and troubleshoot until it works.

download official firmware,
extract to external SD card,
XLOAD/UPDATE.APP
(X stands for your external sd card drive number)
turn on the phone with power button and volume down button (pink screen)
the restoration should begin.

I make diferent way, I download a backup of all files of pinkscreen and put it the pinkscreen and downlod the recovery after that the phone start work normaly,
I hope that will help

yes it installed sucessfully. But it just shows the huawei logo and then the animation and then again goes off and tries to go on. i installed 2.3.5 the official one. but i cant understand why its going off again and again. please help. my cwm is also replaced by the original recovery. please tell me what i can do.

3. big tick
4. restarting.
then it should restart. again, and again, and again. and it will continue to bootloop until it actually boots up successfully for the first time. Please remove battery, plug in usb cable then only perform the upgrade (YES, WITHOUT THE BATTERY!)
Tell me if it works this way.
Or, is the problem that is something like this:
1. Huawei logo shows
2. Huawei logo with some firework animation, then slows down, then complete freeze, then again reboot? and same thing happen?

You didt install cwm? Can you swich to pinkscreenmod to change the recovery file? Or your pc do not detect the phone?

i had cwm before but once i formatted boot and did the steps said by baidiyee it got replaced by default huawei recovery.....and ya my phone is not detected by my pc in that pink screen.

Right, stay calm, this is easy to fix. Im not in pc so you need to do all work. Turn your phone in punkscreen mod after right click on my computer and click in tje second option (i dont remember the name :-s manage I think). On that window click on manage devience. Now on the line apears outher deviences look for android devience or huawei, right click and click update driver (on the first option)
I think after that you are ready to install the new recovery
I will fo rest for now I will wait a few mins for your reply and I will go sleep I'm tired with you don't fix your problem I promise you, tomorow I will help you

you need to flash the tablet by using this rom A3000_A422_011_022_140127_WW_CALL_FUSE this will remove any data on the tablet but it will solve this problem

I downloaded this firmware A3000_A422_011_022_140127_WW_CALL_FUSE and following http://forum.xda-developers.com/lenovo-a3000/development/rom-lenovo-ideatab-a3000-h-call-t2441135/page83 instructions on that link i installed every driver and laptop i borrowed for doing this is offten laggy so i heared a couple of times plugin in and out sound and while i was watching driver errors even that they were installed successfuly i stoped the SP Flash Tool and didn't notice that yellow bar was about 2/5 full and after that like before that it only shows "Searching". Someone said for driver that was buggin me i need to hold volume + and while holding it plug USB in and i installed driver that way but tablet won't start anymore, i tried reset button on the back. That tablet is my only computer please help me, what i can do?... Tried restart laptop but after restart i got unknown device when i plug in the tablet. Please help me somehow and if i miss the thread please move it. I didn't know where to put it.

I decided to try it for the last time and on my luck driver was installed by it self after i plugged the tablet and it wasn't unknown device. I think the solution is reset button on the back of tablet. Thank you anyway !

Update: Now I tried to wipe data factory from recovery mood, the tap stopped while erasing and every time I try to open it , it open into animation for android and typing Erasing then the tap restart to the same animation, Help me please

[Q] Helpppppp!!!! i cant get into recovery mode

Ok hi im new to here..good afternoon everybody...i need ur help urgently please...the problem is i have a note 3...sm-n900...running kit kat right...but something got corrupted and now my phone it boots..but when it fully boots the touch works..the botton works but i dont see nothing on the screen...but if i keep pressing up the bottons..the screen turns on for a while and i see the time and whatever else on the screen and then its closes off..the pc even reads it and ask me if i wanna open the mass storage so i kno everythings working but now i got this prob before..and i fixed it by luckily getting access to the recovery mode and factory resetting and clearing the cache...now the problem is i can only go into download mode and this time i cant get into recovery mode..and to make it worse odin doesnt have a option to clear cache and factory reset....can someone plz plz help me out i really dont wanna have this phone as a paper weight

Why don't you just flash stock rom in Odin? Before try taking the battery out wait a few seconds put it back in and Press volume up home and power

thanks for ur reply on my post and i tried that alot of times..but my phone jus doesnt wanna go into recovery mode im really frustrated n dont know what else to do....i looked everwhere online ..i saw it had a full wipe odin that ppl made specific for theif devices whihc wipes the cache , dalvic n factory resets the phone one time..but they didnt make any for the note 3....n if it was possible to turn on my adb debugging on my phone that would of helped i dont know what to do

Type n900 and look for your country. Download and flash in Odin

thanks ..im not new to flashing via odin i did it a few times but i tried flashing new roms from the sam mobile site..and nothing is helping the situation im in..it flashes like normal it succeeds..but same problem n still cant get into recovery mode...i can only go into download mode..n its a sm-n900 i have btw

Maybe you post some pics. Best would be if you download the correct firmware and also check the bootloader. Did you flash kitkat from 4.3 or was it always 4.4?

it was always kitkat..n i feel ur right about the bootloader thing cuz im trying to flash the bootloader and it wont go tru idk why

There is a free program for Windows called "My Phone Explorer". It has the "monitor" feature (you'll see the screen of your Note 3 on your pc). You can check if it's only a software problem. I used it for unroot my S3 with cracked screen, try it

thanks also for ur reply ..i just downloaded the "my phone explorer" as u instructed to me..the only problem is my usb debugging is not on ..n i cant turn it on :/

It's in settings, general, developer mode. Which you activate by going to my device and clicking a couple of times on build number. If you have access to your phone settings that is.
