Most of you know about package disabler pro and know it's sold on the play store and a website well this guy has SEVERAL TIMES now deleted the app from the play store thereby causing EVERYONE'S license key to no longer work and this whacko has the nerve to tell me to BUY IT AGAIN from the website when I already freaking bought it from BOTH the play store AND his website and the license keys MAGICALLY stop working and I gave this guy the benefit of doubt and bought it again for my Note 20 Ultra and we ALL know this phone JUST came out and guess what? My license key MAGICALLY stopped working YET AGAIN!! After emailing this guy multiple times about it and SHOWING him PROOF that I bought it from both places his response is to BUY IT AGAIN?!! He tells me to get the money back from the play store when he knows damn well the time has passed for requesting a refund!! This guy's plainly ripping people off and if you buy it don't say you weren't warned because you have been now!!
Do a complaint to Google and show them proof maybe they will remove his app completely for violating the rules. Since what he's doing isn't acceptable and is criminal offence to keep removing app then put it back and you gota buy it again.

Try doing a complaint to Google first and once they take action, then do refund request that should then be approved by Google.
Right now they have no idea what developer is doing.

This is the developer I was just complaining about in the SD beta thread. This is the response you get when asking about having to buy the app again.
There is no guarantee that my, or any application, will continue to function or be supported forever. Because of this the Google Play store refund policy allows for 48 hours to request a refund.
Due to the nature of this application, and the fact that it violates Samsung's license agreements, I am unable to provide a refund, for any reason, after 48 hours.
At this point I am spending a lot of time responding to Samsung terminating my licenses and am losing money. While I do not believe you should have to pay for an application multiple times I also do not believe I should have to work for free; or worse pay to work.

Credit card companies ALWAYS give a refund(chargeback) when you complain about a merchant that screwed you...ALWAYS(at least here in Canada
Isn't worth all this effort. I've lost far more money from 5 to even 20 spots falling out of my pocket in the last year.
If anything take your wrath out on the carriers and Sammy.
Or consider it the cost of doing business and cut your losses.
What's truly frustrating is crapware running amuck while you search for a package blocker that works... especially if you can't find one.
Also note that there are several apps by this name. At least one paid version that works on the 10+ and isn't on Playstore. It may not work on the latest Sammy versions though.
For this type of app it's best to not use Playstore.
Poker's not a bad game if you win...

that is different app, ccswe which has for years worked without any issues until Samsung decided to enforce licencing rules on it too. Unlike pdp, ccswe dev is far more honest and professional in his interactions with us users. That said both pdp and ccswe are at the mercy of Knox licensing and once the licence is withdrawn then all they keys issued under it are made invalid which in turn brakes the app functionality. New keys require new payment and it is up us whether it is worth to be paying for something that might stop working soon after purchasing
I bought package disabler pro in 2017 and again in March 2020 and now its stopped working again. I keep all updates OFF on my phone (by using package disabler pro mind you) so how could it suddenly break?l. Updates do nothing but break a complex ecosystem I have setup so I must have them disabled. Suddenly Samsung cloud is prompting me for updates and I use package disabler to disable all Samsung apps.
Is there a package disabler pro alternative? I don't want to buy this app a 3rd time, especially when I didn't even get a full year out of the last purchase.

Why post that when we're not buying sh!t from that developer again? I find it funny that the developer says he's at the mercy of Samsung's licensing when his website apps working just fine right now but only the play store apps license keys become invalidated after he removes it from the play store! When I bought it from his website when it stopped working his response was that he updated the app and I don't care if you update your app as a developer what I do care about is when you update your app and then decide to screw everyone who bought the app and get rid of their license key when you could EASILY just give them a new key when you show proof that you paid for it which I have shown him multiple times for multiple different devices only for him to either ignore or tell me to BUY IT AGAIN or say I'll give you 30% off.. Nah screw your 30% off app developers like POWER AMP music player I bought ONE time YEARS ago and it's ALWAYS worked across multiple devices never needing to buy keys over and over again! This guy's acting like he hasn't made any money which is straight up B.S. because at 3 dollars a pop times more than a million buys that alone is over 3 million dollars and then making that million people keep buying it over and over again he's made a LOT OF MONEY so no this developer is FULL OF CRAP!!
Yes you are right!!! I will never buy this PKG Disabler Pro again!!!!!
@ MrMike2182
Yes I know! He needs to know as much as possible about the application. Google Play should impose or "complete" malicious omissions about the update. In the past I warned just like you! Pointless. People buy! I buy and ask for a refund. Every time, when I change the phone.

You won't get much done about it I hate to say but that seems to be the truth.. I have contacted Google outside of the play store to get them involved since they don't know what's going on in there and I have another reply this morning that I just replied to and sent them screenshots of conversations between myself and the developer because he's telling one person one thing and then telling another person something completely different i will post the reply from this morning from Google.
"Hi*Mike,
Thank you for contacting Google Support!*
We appreciate your patience waiting for our response and we apologize for the delay. Let me resolve your concern to the best of my ability.
I'm sorry to hear about your experience with this app developer since the license key is not working then it will ask you to buy it again. I will do my best to help you sort this out.
As I checked on your records, it shows that my colleague who helped you before tried to refund request on your behalf however it was not granted as the money was already paid to the app developer and I know that this is something that you did not expect since you paid for something that you can't use and I totally understand where you're coming from.
And we expect them to support their apps, respond to user questions about paid apps or in-app purchases in a timely manner. To help you escalate this app developer, if you can send us some screenshot of your conversation with this app developer especially for those things that they sent to you so I will be able to escalate this to our specialist team.
Any additional information that you can send me would help me to better assist you. (I can receive .jpg, .pdf and .doc attachments by email.).
Once I receive that information, I can start checking the best options for this concern. Thanks in advance for providing these details. I look forward to hearing from you.
Hoping for your continued safety and health.
Within 48 hours of*our last interaction, you'll receive a short survey via email. We’d love to hear your feedback about our interaction today and your overall experience with Google support.
Thanks!
Jay

MY REPLY WAS..
"That's fine but why does the play store keep allowing him to put this app back on the play store AFTER he rips everyone off by making their license key no longer work and then tell us to go buy it from his website when I have MULTIPLE TIMES and all of the keys MAGICALLY stop working and yet he's allowed to keep putting it back on the play store?! That's like buying a car from the dealership and then after using it for 2 weeks they tell you have to buy the car all over again! WHAT FOR?!"
As I said I really don't think they care and the reason being? They got their CUT OF THE PIE! Simple as that..
Same thing happened to me. My purchase was a month old.
I applied for a refund and was rejected by Google.
Also, I emailed the developer and no response since 5 days.
This is fraud in clear day light.

Was google clear on the fact that the app is now disabled. Not just no longer listed but actually disabled? I get the canned response from them if they think the app still works but was delisted but I would be pushing them harder. A month old I would be charging it back with documentation. That *may* put your payment method with google in jeopardy until resolved however.

So I just realized today, whenever i first got my phone (i think its been 1 week or 2 now), one of the first things i opened was tmobile tv, i remember it saying something about 30 day free trial, I was wondering will it charge me after 30 days? If so, how do i cancel it?
This is an exceptionally good question. I haven't accepted their trial yet because I planned to wait to start until I had time to play with it. That said, I figured I'd look up the answer for you so I could post a good natured poke of "Google is your friend". Turns out Google doesn't know either and by now I'm seriously questioning if TMOB knows!
I found 4 artiicals on TMO News that were almost completely content free, so much for truth in naming. I did find a reference that the new win-7 abomination will have free tv. Seems if anyone would pay for TV people stupid enough to buy win-7 would be the ones. Still that may imply MT4G will be free as well. Of course that begs the question exactly what is it a trial of.
By this time I was fairly obsessed and checked my account. According to TMOB the only upgrade they are currently dangling is the caller tunes thing. IMO this is just about the only thing you can do with a phone that is more annoying than RING-RING. But I suppose some people like it.
My several years old opinion of cellco tv service is that it compares very poorly to just about any other form of video consumption available. Of course that was Sprint and they compare very unfavorably to just about everything. So, maybe things are different, but until I see it I remain skeptical.
So ultimately I am unable to answer your question. Might be time to just call and ask them. But where's the fun in that?!
When you open the tmobile tv app it pops up a message stating how many days you have left on your trial. Just go into the help, subscriptions, and unsubscribe. Simple as that. I just did that last night.

i just google'd tmobile tv apk and got it. Thanks though.
I just went in to check my account and my apps are listed as "Unpublished" WTF?
Anyone else getting this?
I have no complaints, 5-star reviews and never received any kind of message from Google. Yeah, I wrote them a nice little e-mail.
Just wondering if anyone else might have run into this.
Roots is pissed
<edit>
The only possible thing I can think of was something to do with licensing policy and I didn't update my apps to something new???
Just checked mine, its unpublished as well. I just uploaded mine saturday 120 downloads no rating yet.
Mass law suit for potential missed revenues!!!
Just got e-mail back from Google...."Your applications are listed as published"
Wrote them back..."Well yeah, because I re-published them!" Man, can't fix stupid, can you?
I reported others as having a problem and they need to research it. That's money lost to me given previous sale's data (mine was down for 3 days as far as I can tell).
Ahhh cust service, no matter how smart the company is they are stupid as hell. Lucky for me mine is my first app and its free so no harm on my side But for you and others that is def lost money and they need to do something about it. Sounds like a whole lot of trouble for you though...
Not too much trouble, but it just bothers me now that I HAVE to check on it every so often.
And don't get me started on "management". Where I lost my job over a year ago as a programmer and wrote and was responsible for mission critical applications, I made NOTHING compared to the 6-figure management types that spent time planning meetings ABOUT meetings....Ugh.

I'm checking like 5 times a day.
I would ask all developers to watch this and e-mail Google when it happens...we should not have to babysit our applications.
So I have kind of an interesting situation. A few weeks ago, I ordered a new Nexus7 8gb for a gift direct from the Google Play store, and shipped via UPS. On the day it was delivered, UPS's tracking showed "Delivered to the front door" however it never made it there. So I called Google Play Support and they had me reply to an e-mail with the words "I consent" to allow them to refund the charge and "remotely disable the device" to make it "unusable as a phone or as a computing device for any purpose".
So I did that and they promptly refunded me, and I placed a new order, which ended up being delivered with no problems. However, yesterday my neighbor knocked on my door with the original shipment in hand, apparently it had been delivered next door, and they were away at the time so they hadn't seen the package until then. Out of curiosity I booted up the tablet fully expecting it to be bricked once I connected it to wifi or at most after I had attached my google account or tried to do anything on the Play Store app. However, it has so far worked flawlessly with no visible restrictions, I even updated all the apps and performed a system update with no issues.
Just to be on the safe, and more honest, side though I sent Google a follow-up e-mail to let them know what happened and that the device had not been disabled. They responded just to say that it "can be disabled at any time from now" and to make sure anything I had on there is backed up.
So my question(s) to you guys are, first has anyone had any experience with this, aka Google remotely disabling the device, and know what actually happens to it? And second, since it appears Google has no desire to collect the hardware back from me, is there any way to bring it back to life after that the disabling action has happened, via a hard-wipe and using custom ROMs ect, or will it be essentially a $200 paperweight?
Thanks!
I think, tho maybe wrong but when they send out the "kill" signal it goes out for limited time so that if the item is not switched on during that period then when it is switched on it could/should be fine.
I may be wrong but past experience with a found iphone would suggest this to be the case.
As for the last bit I would as assume that once killed only google can breathe life back into it.

Ah ok, well if thats the case maybe I should just power it off and wait awhile before attempting to use it, if theres a chance I would be able to avoid their "kill signal" altogether.
I just assumed at the very least they would blacklist the tablet's IMEI/serial immediately, so that even if the device itself wasn't bricked it wouldn't be unable to utilize any of google's services.
Flash a custom ROM and recovery asap I say.
Good on you for being honest and telling Google about what happened. Good karma goes a long way! I'm more surprised though they didn't request you send it back to them.

Yeah, I was surprised too when they didn't respond back with instructions to send it back to them or at least have UPS come pick it up, since it was UPS who was really the one at fault.
It just seems like a waste to me that a shiny new Nexus 7 will now most likely just become trash, which is what led me to ask here if there was anything I could do to save it from an early grave.

I'm not sure how its wrong if I notified them that I recovered the device, and all they said was "it will be disabled soon" and made no mention or request to have it sent back to them? Its apparent they don't want or need it back (I'm guessing the costs they'd incur in return shipping, handling, repackaging it, ect. would make it not really worth it for them to try to resell.), so is it wrong I'm trying to get some use out of it?
Also I believe I read that they file a claim with UPS in these instances, so most likely receive some type of reimbursement from UPS to at least mitigate the loss, which is probably another reason they haven't asked me to send it back. *shrug*
@shibbybypass - regarding your offer I'm not sure what I'm gonna do with it yet, probably going to just let it sit awhile and see what happens. But I will keep your offer in mind.

Yes you are
He contacted the vendor, they did not request the unit back. Nothing wrong here.
Now if he didn't contact google, and was trying to get around the kill signal; that's another story. But unless you are calling the OP a liar.. nothing to see here.
Dude what is the status of the device now ???

We owned computer / networking business in the mid 80s to mid 90s.. what happens is the seller files a claim with ups. they are compensated for there loss. UPS Does not care about the item at that point . UNLESS Google files to ups item has been found. Then ups will ask for it But only Sometimes.Obviously google is not taking this second step.. Im sure this happens more then you would think. UPS Looses alot of packages. they just handle so many more its not so well known..
As far as them killing or locking the device.. Its only for google WALLET And the wallet nfc function. If you unlock lock then re-unlock the device it will have a new nfc id .
Here is how i know the above sentence..
First i bought a 8 gb nexus 7 from play store. (8 was out of stock ). It had bad screen lift. I called google and they said i could it order a 16 then gat a rma for the 8 when the 16 comes.. So the day i got the 16 gb . before i took it out of the box. I called google got the rma for 8 gb. Got the email telling me to disable wallet. I did so.. after i opened the 16 setting it up the screen cracked under (another story i will not get into here) I called google to explain what happened . they told me to send it back and to keep the 8 until i got a replacement for the 16. While setting the 8 gb tablet back up google wallet would NOT Work..
i called google back . they told me to unlock it again . lock it back. Remove it from my wallet account.. Then i could unlock it again and set it up...
this i done. and it worked fine. So it makes me think they do NOT RENDER THE DEVICE DISABLED Only the wallet features..
sorry for. such a long story ..
since you asked them if they wanted it back and they did not . i would say your fine with keeping it.. Keep the emails documenting you contacting them.
Good Luck
This stupid dock has been perpetually out of stock since I got my Note 2. It would play peek a boo with us for usually 12 hours at a time before going out of stock again. Well, for those of you who want one, now's your chance to get one at half off.
https://www.samsung.com/us/mobile/cell-phones-accessories/EDD-S20JWEGSTA
This is YMMV, so take it for what it's worth. I had no trouble placing the order, and was off the phone inside of five minutes.
All you need to do is call Samsung's order hotline and place an order for the Smart dock. Tell the rep that you had been e-mailed a 50% off code last year when you registered your phone with Samsung, but the dock has been mostly out of stock since you got the code. The code is now expired, and you were told someone could reissue a new code to you when it was back in stock again.
The number is 1-800-757-0280.
The representative did not issue me a new code, but instead simply took 50% off of my order over the phone with no questions asked. She simply said, "Ok, that's fine. I'll just need your credit card and billing address, and it'll be $49.99 plus tax with free shipping."
Note that this dock also works with the Galaxy S4 as well.
If they ask you for your old code for some reason, just hang up and try again, or post in here, and I'll give you my old, expired code to use.
Receipt added to attachments.

Could you PM me your code? The rep wanted it in order to generate a new one. Thanks

Their staff is actually pretty knowledgeable if you call them up. Just ask for tech support or something. I know the S3 has MHL support, but I'm not familiar with the USB pinouts, which may be different than the Note 2. Quickest answer is going to be a short call to Samsung.

If it suddenly comes back, please delete this thread.
Hmm...

Source?
Saw a couple of Amazon reviews with pics. Kinda wondered why no one here ever mentioned them.

I saw one review with pics, but it was possible that phone was wet. Other than that I've heard nothing that sounded viable. My phone never even gets warm. Though I'm rooted, and use greenify and other performance apps.
Back up but only for non-Amazon sellers. Probably ran out or are waiting for units with v6.6.
Edit: Gone again.
What I know, and what I think the hell's going on.
Okay, so this phone was my baby for as long as I had it.
It got chucked on the ground. Complete web of cracks across the screen. The microphone also ceased to operate and my smart watch stopped co-operating with the phone to exchange push notifications. Anyway Amazon agreed to refund the device. It has been shipped. The same day I shipped it the listing was there and perfectly intact And today, when I go to re-order it... gone. ****ING GONE.
Anyway what I know from calling Amazon, harassing BLU Miami and checking listing databases it was very much available for purchase. Then- out of nowhere the listing's pictures are removed and then the listing was taken down.
A few hours later all listings of it were back on the system just without pictures or stock count, thus amazon listing it as a "coming soon" or "in progress" item. And now its listed as an item that is completely available but... is listed with a stock count of absolutely nothing.
BUT, here's the breakthrough.
They are going to start shipping with 6.6 preinstalled and some security patches (MAYBE VoLTE?!) there was a snag. Their offices are closed so I can't harass them anymore but, hey we have some info now. That's all I got from some internsnooping and employee twitter account announcements.
That's all for now.

Thank God I got it and rooted it before this mess. Got it last week lol. That was close.
I have MOORE!
Apparently there is a change in plans for BLU, they have decided to change the listing ID on Amazon.
Then they took it down completely. Amazon Canada still has it tho (?)
Made the mistake of updating to v6.6. I would actually like the ads if they were at all targeted. So far, all stuff I never buy. I suppose they'll get better. Also feel safer from fire.
Funny, I was telling my buddy to buy the phone, went to bring it up, and saw the same thing, not for sale anywhere on Amazon
Mine is still purring along nicely, I don't even care about 6.6, to me the hassle of rooting the phone, flashing ROMs, and voiding the warranty wasn't worth dealing with vs spending the extra $50 to just buy the ad free version.
Is it coming back?
I wanted to pick up this phone for that 60$ killer deal but I just noticed it vanished today. Is it coming back or is it gone for good?

Paying extra $50 for non-root usage is absolutely mind-boggling. The main reason for root is adblocking. Not Amazon ads but the whole spammy ads in the Android ecosystem. If you were going to root anyway, why pay extra $50? If you weren't going to root, why buy a phone lol.

It'll be back soon. Same price but with a locked down phone.

Great to hear! Can't wait and I honestly don't care about the ads.

Tell that to the people sitting around with bricked phones from failed root attempts.

To use? I don't understand. I mean, I understand there is often a juvenile need a lot of geeks have to be in "total control" of their devices, but when you really sit back and look at it, it's rarely worth the effort. I had rooted phones previously "just because" and after years of not doing anything that needed root, I finally realized it's mostly a pointless endevour. Much rather have a phone with a warranty, and not worry about random things bricking my device in the root process.
hah! I ordered one on Friday and got it Saturday. MAYBE I GOT THE LAST ONE.

Not for trolling or anything but I followed the convert to OEM thread and in less than 10 minutes after taking it out of the box I had the non-ads version, no need to buy the expensive one at all.

I agree! Following Colton's excellent instructions, it was very easy to convert the phone to non-amazon version in 10 minutes. I knew enough to not put a SIM in it or let it connect to wifi and update, so I took it out of the box and just flashed it with SPFT. Couldn't have been easier. And with the money I saved, I picked up a second one as a backup.
And because I was able to root it, I installed xposed framework and the wonderful gravitybox module which allows for incredible customization of the stock rom. Once you take the phone updates, you don't have that option.
YESSS
THE LISTING IS BACK IN THE US.
The prime edition is nowhere to be found and it reads as "out-of-stock"
