Hi, I was wondering if there is a way in which I can unlock LTE Band 28(700) in my OnePlus 8 Pro, I installed the global ROM from the U.S.A. support site but it didn't resolved my issue, I came here because I heard that you guys are the best solving this kind of things, is what I am asking possible? If so, how can I achieve it? Thanks in advance!

Will test soon
I'm wondering about this too and will be testing it this week.
I've acquired a WW version of ZE520KL and have tried to change the firmware to the JP version to
see if that adds any usable bands. As stated somewhere else it appears that the hardware differs from
TW, JP, other version to the WW and I ended up with no network connectivity; both sim and WiFi.
I will be posting again after trying the QPST trick, but would love to hear if somebody else had any
success adding bands to their ZenFone 3. (CDMA and LTE 19 band is what I'm particularly interested in)
Take a look at this thread to start with.
I'm interested in this as well but haven't had any luck.
Had anyone who doesnt have the Global Version tried to change the LTE Band with the Snapdragon software tools? If you haven't heard or tried this just search Unlock LTE Bands in XDA main search. Because I'm think its going to be much cheaper to by the Chinese version that is like only 343USD for 6gb of RAM and 128 ROM and unlock the bands. Any thoughts? Thanks.
Changing the bands with QPST or QXDM can be done but it has no effect on functionality.
Some software will see these bands as unlocked but the phone itself can not make use of them. You might also run into some trouble on MIUI though custom roms seem more flexible with this.
At the moment there is no way to convert a CN (band restricted) model into a Global model (no band restrictions).
Hi, somebody has any news ?
for conversion(activate ) band 20 in Xiaomi Note 2 ?
thank you
This is very important topic I think. What I find really weird that the firmware files (modem) and rom are the same no matter which version you have...
On redmi note 3, kate and kenzo have different rom and different modem files. Its really weird here.
I bought huawei mate 10 lite (RNE-L21) few months ago and I am still using it but the only issue I am facing is I cannot get 4g on this phone with my current carrier. My current cellular provider projects 4g on B5(850) which is not supported by huawei mate 10 lite. So is it possible to unlock this band on my phone.
I am using stock rom i.e android oreo with emui 8.0 please can anyone help me. The phone is still in warranty.
Thanks
don't think so
Yup! maybe your place dont have 4G band!
me 2 need help
Hi, I'm new here. I have a question. is it possible to unlock b20 band on Xiaomi mi note 2? In Poland I need to use LTE 800 Mhz. I apologize for any mistakes but my English is not very good.
There are some ways on the internet for different Snapdragon devices and CPUs .
Never heard any Mi Note 2 user that he succeded doing such operation...
I guess you don't have the global version and need band 20 for LTE...
Maybe someone will come with a different and better answer, but as i know, you can unlock them in software but hardware does not support those additional bands that the Global version come with...
I tried to change the nvram parameters but to no avail

I don't seem to have VOLTE anymore since upgrading from the 7 Pro and I believe its because the IN2020 (Global rom) is missing one of the 4G bands, does anyone know if flashing it to a UK rom would enable it or is this a hardware thing?
