Do you recommend to upgrade bootloader?

Hello mates, I have a question.
Which of you are in the latest bootloader?
I want to upgrade, usually with new bootloader there are some enhancements but reading about that KNOX thing that Samsung added to the bootloader. Also I think that that's just for warranty (I void mine at the first minute jajaja), I've never used TouchWiz and I read that the you can't revert the bootloader, as usual, so I want to be sure that I will be able to keep flashing things and use Odin as well, since the counter can't be reset.
I've got the new bootloader and flash a lot.
I'm currently running PAC ROM and KT Kernel with no issues at all
If you have new bootloader it does void warranty forever if KNOX WARRANTY VOID 0X1.
You can't downgrade firmware in Odin but you can upgrade

In any case if we want to upgrade to TW 4.3 next October I suspect all of us must use the new bootloader...

That's what I was thinking, besides since the KNOX feature is just for warranty purposes and I been using an AOSP ROM since the first minute.
But, are we going to be able to use Odin without any problems?

This is what I'm not so sure about, everyone is saying different things!
Some say once you trigger the KNOX flag then you can't use Odin at all. Some say you can but only to upgrade firmware, not downgrade. Some say you can but can never use stock kernel again as it checks the KNOX flag and won't boot phone if it's 0x1.
I think before you take the plunge, do some reading and research to be on the safe side

Intentionally Voiding Knox

Hi,
I'm thinking about flashing a custom rom, I'm currently on stock 4.3.
I know what KNOX is, but one thing is still unclear to me -
What exactly does this KNOX void thing prevent me from doing besides that so called Samsung warranty?
Is there any functional loss (besides Samsung wallet and so on) ?
Will there be any other anomalies in my phone?
Thanks in advance.
Matan.
You'll not be able to use knox apps

Thanks for the info.
Anything else other than Samsung KNOX apps which are unused?
Also, is it possible to install the Google Play Edition on a KNOX enabled bootloader?
I believe you will also lose functions like hdmi out and that samsung apps that work with tv's etc.
And in most countries you won't lose warranty. It really depends from what country you are from.

Cant enter on Clockworkmod Recovery Mode

Hi everyone.
Im having a root issue.
Ive rooted my Galaxy S4 with no problems at all. My firmware version is I9505XXUGNG8.
However when i try to go to the Clockworkmod recovery i can't do it.
It simply goes to the normal system recovery. I want to install a custom rom, so this way i cant do it.
Ive tried some workarounds but the problem continues.
Is there anyway known to fix this?
Thanks
Have you tried to flash the recovery package with ODIN por Mobile ODIN?

Well for what ive read the real problem is the firmware itself and KNOX App.
There is no CF Auto Root for this firmware. Theres some turn arounds but not so easy as the normal rooting mode.
I will try to get an older firmware cause the only thing i want is to put a custom rom
Try towelroot

Unable to mount preload

Hi, i tried to install a rom on Recovery Mode, but i always get the same error message, something like this: "E/unable to mount preload". My tablet is a Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 (SM-T330).
Someone told me to use the Odin and flash a Recovery, but even after that i get the same error.
Can someone help me with this subject?
Thanks

That's because the only way to root 5.1.1 is to modify the kernel, which I already told you
Same problem but I had working yesterday
