I noticed when screen recording with Nice Shot that if system sound is enabled to be recorded, the audio output is turned off, meaning even though the internal audio is being recorded, I can't hear it while recording... :crying:
I believe the new samsung capture app allows for recording and output at the same time... no way to have that on the S8? :crying:

Anyone here used Resco Audio Recorder 3.01? It has a very strong recorder that can record even very slight noise. But if i record a video the sounds is not equal to the recorded sounds in the Resco Audio Recorder. Why? is it posible in the video recording that can record also the very slight sounds?
Hi, i don't know if it's just my surround but whenever i try recording a video, it is always set to noise cancellation mode and i have no control to change it.
do you guys have the ability to change it from noise cancellation to stereo? i was reading about the ability to change it at phonearena's htc surround review but can't find it in my own device.
I have that option...Audio Recording Options...and it shows me Normal, Noise Reduction, and Stereo. Then again...I am having other issues with my phone like the market crashing all the time. Ringtones not working until I reboot the phone...you know the normal crap.
Does anyone know if I can buy an external mic to plug into the N4 and be used while video recording? The mic in the phone itself is very distorted during the events so I want to record videos with high quality sound during loud music events.

Click to collapse
You can but it won't work!!!
I have the same requirement and the standard video app will not use an external mic - It must be a software issue...
I have found an app recently posted on the Play store: Ultra Video Camera. It will allow you to use an external microphone to record video. YAY! It's clunky to use (early days) and has very few user features within it but it does have an option to choose the inbuilt microphone or to use a headset/external microphone.
It works with my Lavalier mic as well as my standard headset + mic that I use for phone calls. The problem is that the quality of the sound recording is AWFUL.
There's a background hiss and a regular 'clicking' throughout the entire video. BOO!
I've emailed the creators and asked them if it can be improved - I'll update here when I get a response.
That aside - It does prove that the issue is a software challenge - and so I ask if anyone can 'hack' embellish the standard video app that comes with Nexus 4 to accommodate an external microphone?
My experience of the quality of the sound on the standard video app is that it's very good, but it prohibits standing any more than 2 metres away from the phone when making a video, hence the requirement for an external microphone.
I like to record video and audio at live concerts. Whenever I record video with the 6p, the audio comes out pretty decent w/ no clipping.
However, when I use an audio recorder, such as the Sony Audio Recorder and Field recorder, i get tons of clipping. I've tried turning down gain and enable clip protection, but the recording quality always sounds overloaded whenever the bass hits. The audio meters in it doesn't show that it reaches the 'red' but the resulting audio is still distorted.
How can i record audio w/ the 6p and get it sounding as good as the audio in the videos i record?
Does anyone knows how to record screen with internal audio. I want to record screen while gaming. There are many apps though but it doesn't record ingame sound.
