Recommend a T819Y rom newer than Android 7? - Galaxy Tab S2 General

After reading through the custom roms for my T819Y, it looks like most have some issue or several features don't work or are unsupported in the custom rom.
I'm looking for recommendations for a stable version newer than Android V7.
Thanks

LineageOS 16 by @LuK1337. You can find it in Tab S2 Original Android Development, despite the fact that our T819Ys are the second version Tab S2.
Also, it's made for T819, I'm not sure what the exact differences are yet, but I feel like it's band support maybe... Make sure to download the exact Android Nougat rom just in case!

Small update, on ROMs newer than Android 7, you can't use mobile data or anything of the sort at all.

Looks like it's time for an upgrade.

Best Vanilla/Nexus style ROM for the Note 4 (N910F)

Hi all, I'm trying to find a ROM which is most like untouched standard Android (Like what you'd get on a Nexus device); this sort of ROM used to be referred to as 'Vanilla' but may also be know as Nexus or Google Play Edition.
I played with my friends new Moto X yesterday and the OS was so much faster and responsive than my phone, in my opinion. Furthermore, I prefer the aesthetics of the standard ROM; I know Motorola ROM's aren't completely free of changes but they are certainly a lot more uncustomised than Samsung with all its additions and customisations which I really hate the look of and find my phone gets laggy quickly unless a restart is performed.
I have extensive experience loading custom ROM's but I don't want to have to try all of them, I was hoping you may be able to help me find a ROM which matches my requirements. The addition of S Pen apps/compatibility would be awesome but I can obviously look into adding this myself if the ROM does not natively support it.
Thanks community!

If you just want plain standard nexus type rom them you just want plain cm from the original development section. There are a few versions of cm with added tweaks around as well but cm roms are pretty much only available for the qualcom n4 plus every cm rom will have a couple of bugs

Best ROM threads are banned. What works well for 1 person may not necessarily work well for you, its trial and error my friend.

note 4 910f best stable rom pie
im a newbie can you help please.
Did you find a rom that worked for samsung note 4 n910F marhmallow to pie? blutooth and camera ok?
A shop did this for me they tried twice but though android pie worked when I switched the fone off.. power off from the shutdown menu at end of day.... it wouldnt reastart at all. They gave up and reloaded samung marsmallow again which its running now.
As a newbie id appreciate knowng how and in which order you did this. Im thinking odin on computor, root fone to take nandroid copy twrp
If I end up with the same problem as the shop ie no restart, could I obtain and load an original samsung ver 5 or 6 android, as this would be easier than rooting the fone in order to make a nandroid copy.
THANK YOU !!! april 2020.

Is Dirty Unicorns Dead? Suggestions for other clean-style roms?

Trying out a Sprint S4 (non T version), but not thrilled with the performance of the stock 4.4 ROM. Figured maybe 5+ would be an improvement, but wanted to go with something built for speed and efficiency (ie. not full of bloat) rather than let it update itself.
From what I've read, most people seemed to recommend Dirty Unicorns as a fairly clean and speedy ROM. I'm not looking for heavy modifications and skins or anything like that. Those kinds of things turn me off.
But, it seems that Dirty Unicorns is no longer supported on the S4, the links in the official thread are broken and the DU website doesn't list the S4 as a supported device... oddly, none of the Galaxy phones are listed as supported devices. Were we dropped? What happened? Is it still out there somewhere? Is there any other similar ROM that folks recommend?
I've got TWRP ready to go!

BlissPop is a great 5.1.1 ROM, CM13 is also a good 6.0.1 option. If TW is your thing, WickedX is your best 5.0.1 choice.

I don't particularly care for TW or not, I just want to make sure everything works as well as possible (sometimes AOSP roms need to be coaxed into working more than ones based on stock). Also things like Samsung's pedometer (S Health) have replaced my fitbit, and I'm hoping whatever ROM I install will still work with it.
Meanwhile, I can't believe I forgot about CM! I should have thought of that first. Those are always solid once they are officially supported by CM! But I wonder- is CM12 better on this hardware than CM13? In my experience over the years, I've often found that ROMs based on versions officially supported by the device worked better than ones that were pushing newer versions. At least CM12 is based on Lollipop, which IS available for this phone officially. But then again, this is CM we're talking about. If 13 works well, I have no qualms using it. Any advice on that one way or the other?

I haven't had any real problems on stock CM 13(officially supported device), I run SynergyOS which is cm based so I can undervolt and underclock. You can get S Health on CM ROMs if you go that route.

I've been out of the loop for a while

Hi people. I have been into custom ROMs on my Note 3 (SM-N900W8) in the past, and never found a stable one. So I ended up reverting back to stock Samsung and just using my phone the old fashioned, boring way. Now that I see a newer version of each of the ROMs I've tried, I'm thinking that I may want to get back into installing custom ROMs again.
I can't quite remember what the rules of engagement were when it comes to kernels associated to certain ROMs. I really want to go back to KitKat, as it was my favorite Android version. Right now, I'm on Samsung's stock 5.0 firmware.
AFAIK, you need a pre-5.0 kernel in order to install anything below 5.0. Is that correct? Also, if I wanted to try an Android 6 or 7 ROM (just for the hell of it), am I required to use a different kernel?
Like I said, I'm way out of the loop and need to be re-educated. I'm not even sure what to really search anymore.
Bonus Question: What's the most stable and bug-free Note 3 (Qualcomm) ROM out there?
Thanks people :good::good::good::laugh:

YES

Most Stable ROM for SM-T530, aka matisse, aka Galaxy Tab 4 10.1"

Question for those who have been testing ROMs on Matisse (Galaxy Tab 4 10.1" SM-T530). Which ROM is currently most stable for a daily driver?
a) lineage-16.0-20200415-UNOFFICIAL-matissewifi.zip from matteo026
b) lineage-17.1-20200419-UNOFFICIAL-matissewifi-Unsweetened-XDA-BUILD.zip from DJABHipHop
c) lineage_matissewifi-ota-eng.android.zip <-- What exactly is this one? It was in the same directory with other ROMs from DJABHipHop
d) some other ROM
I'm mainly looking for stability (as in, doesn't crash too much) and security (patches for known major vulnerabilities)
Thanks all
j
I also have a SM-T530NU. I've run the Lineage 16 and 17 ROMs. Unfortunately you're going to have to temper your expectations. This is an old tablet. I'm amazed that Android 10 runs on it at all. You're not going to find both stability and recent vulnerability updates. If you want stability, use the old stock ROM. If you want new, the Lineage 17 ROM runs but crashes/reboots far too frequently to use daily.
Try them. Flashing this thing is straightforward.

Best Custom ROM for GT-I9195?

I have a Galaxy S4 Mini running CM 13 (Android 6.0.1). The OS has never misbehaved, not even once. The phone does have TWRP installed, but it is not rooted. I'm not a power user, so my current OS has all the features I want/need. However, I know that later OS releases have better security, so I want to update to something newer. Here's what I'm looking for.
1. I'm not interested in an OS that requires rooting
2. I want a very stable OS
3. With just 8gb of storage, a smaller OS is better ... much better.
4. I'm fine with OS releases that predate Android 10
Does anyone have recommendations?
Thanks!
