Hey guys,
I unlocked my galaxy s4 from AT&T and now I use T-Mobile. I was wondering if I could use the t-mobile rom since I would like to use the tethering and wifi calls from it.
I don't really want any custom rom, just because I'm fine with the carrier ones.. so I searched somethings and I figured out that I could use the t-mobile rom with loki doki.
Can I just instal the stock firmare of t-mobile? (It would be the M919UVUEMK2)
By the way, right now I'm running the MF3 and idk why I don't receive the OTA update (never received, I suspect that's because I unlocked it)
I found some other posts but unfortunately it doesn't contain enough information.

Can anyone help me ?
Thanks!
Hey guys I need help... I got my wife an unlocked AT&T LG G2. I set up the APN setting and the LTE was working but as soon as I don't have a strong signal the phone drops to gsm and it doesn't give me the options to include other frequencies on settings. I worked with T-Mobile to fix the issue but they don't have a fix. I was adviced to flash a T-Mobile stock ROM is this possible if the build model is different?
SO I have a Telus LG G2 and want to use it on wind (aws).
With my old S2X I just flashed a T-Mobile radio and it worked, but I guess the hardware has to be there, will this work on the D803?
I see this guy had success with this method: http://www.htcmania.com/showthread.php?t=800420
If flashing a radio won't work what about this: http://www.xda-developers.com/android/remove-band-restrictions-qualcomm/
Please give me some advice, I don't want to sell this phone
Just ordered my wife a G2, it is unlocked however it is the AT&T variant and we are on Tmo. I have read that someone took a Tmo rom and made it possible to flash this to the AT&T model along with the KK baseband so that we can use Tmos wifi calling. However I would like to know if I can simply just flash a Tmo stock image and flash the KK baseband if this will work or am I looking into this all wrong?
This is where I read about the Tmo on AT&T rom:

Can anyone tell me if the ROM mentioned in the link above is this the latest ROM for the G2? Thank you in advance.
Side Question, if I want to flash Cyanogenmod and still want to retain the wifi calling can I flash the Tmo rom along with the aforementioned KK baseband?

THIS IS AN ABSOLUTE AND COMPLETE NO GO, FLASHING A FACTORY IMAGE FOR A DIFFERENT MODEL CAN HARD BRICK YOUR DEVICE, IN FACT I'D PRETTY MUCH GUARANTEE IT!!! GO INTO THE ATT DEVELOPMENT THREAD AND FIND SAID T MOBILE ROM FOR YOUR DEVICE, FLASH THAT IF YOU WANT TO. As an answer to the side question there is no way to retain wifi calling on cyanogenmod, especially on a non tmo device. Finally as for the baseband find out what baseband the respective ROMs need (the tmobile one for ATT G2s or the CM build you choose to use).
Hello all,
I'm really new to the phone modification scene. I tinker around with computers mostly. I have an unlocked sprint version of the LG v20, the only problem is I am not receiving data on my new carrier (even with the correct apn added). I'm pretty sure this is a firmware issue. I was wondering if there was a way to flash the us996 or verizon version of the phone to get data to work. I know the sprint version is super locked down. I just didn't know if using a modded version of LGUP and the us996 kdz would brick the phone or not, or if there was a way to flash different firmware on the version I am on.
Thanks and cheers,,

Your firmware has anti-rollback enabled (ARB1), and the US996 and VS995 do not (ARB0), so flashing any KDZ (Sprint does not provide KDZ files at all) will surely brick your phone permanently. You're pretty much stuck with the Sprint firmware you currently have, and the only change possible is taking an official over-the-air update to Oreo, but that could re-lock the phone to Sprint only again.
If you're getting into phone modification, then you'll be much better off with any other LG V20 variant as they are all rootable, unlike the Sprint model with ARB1.

That really sucks, yeah I don't really want to try and hassle with sprint customer support, I got the phone second-hand from my step-brother. So, i'm not sure if they would even unlock it again for me. Thanks for the information. I wasn't sure if there was a way to flash certain parts of the software to possible fix the modem issues or not.
