[Q] D803 AWS using qualcomm hack or flashing radio - G2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

SO I have a Telus LG G2 and want to use it on wind (aws).
With my old S2X I just flashed a T-Mobile radio and it worked, but I guess the hardware has to be there, will this work on the D803?
I see this guy had success with this method: http://www.htcmania.com/showthread.php?t=800420
If flashing a radio won't work what about this: http://www.xda-developers.com/android/remove-band-restrictions-qualcomm/
Please give me some advice, I don't want to sell this phone

[REQUEST] TMO EFS Backup

Hi all,
I have a Rogers LG G2 D803. I'm trying to enable AWS bands, and to do this I'd like to attempt to restore a TMO EFS backup. I'm doing this because I want my Rogers phone to work on WIND.
If it works, it means we might be able to enable bands that devices aren't supposed to support, like switching between TMO and AT&T bands, or even unlocking them all! But to test if this might work I need a TMO EFS to restore, as just flashing the TMO modem locks down my radio.
Just PM me if you're willing to share one, thanks!

EFS is a Samsung term, not an LG or universal term. What you want is a .QCN (QPST) backup with the IMEI stripped out. I've done this mod on my AT&T S4 and Note 2, so I know where you got the idea from.

Thanks for the encouragement. As it happened, I did use the EFS backup in TWRP and restored a TMO EFS. It didn't work - My phone kind of just refused to cooperate. I have a feeling that between the D801 and D803, there are some hardware incompatibilities. Until a real dev gets this phone and plays with band settings, we won't see this stuff happening.
In any case, I returned my Rogers G2 and ordered a T-Mobile one off eBay today.

Porting stock L-01F (Japanese G2) ROM to d800 (AT&T G2)

I would like to know if it's possible to port the stock ROM of Japanese variant of the LG G2 (L-01F) to an AT&T LG G2?
I travel a LOT to Tokyo and using my phone on AT&T will just cost me an arm and 50 legs when I'm half across the world.
I'm thinking if I just flash the stock ROM of the Docomo version that it'll work, swap out my AT&T SIM card for a Docomo SIM card - flash the ROM and be good on the go. And when I go back to the states I'll just restore the nandroid of my AT&T stock ROM and slip in my AT&T card.
What exactly does it take to port the ROM over? I'm hearing that just flashing the ROM and flashing the AT&T kernel would work just fine.
Thanks for the help!
Bump, I really hope I've posted this in the right section.
I'm not a developer or anything, but wouldn't you need to unlock your phone for this?

Yes my phone is unlocked but some off the apps that are exclusive to Docomo handsets are locked and some are tied to their ROM framework and such. I tried downloading certain apps to see if I can get them to work on the AT&T ROM but it's a no go :\

[Q] Can I install a T-Mobile stock ROM on a AT&T unlocked version

Hey guys I need help... I got my wife an unlocked AT&T LG G2. I set up the APN setting and the LTE was working but as soon as I don't have a strong signal the phone drops to gsm and it doesn't give me the options to include other frequencies on settings. I worked with T-Mobile to fix the issue but they don't have a fix. I was adviced to flash a T-Mobile stock ROM is this possible if the build model is different?

LG G2 D800 on 1700/2100 ? (PLEASE HELP)

Hi
I bought an unlocked at&t LG G2 D800 seeing it has LTE 1700/2100, so i thought it will work on my WIND network in canada. But it does not. Now trying to sell the phone, I found someone on kijiji who says he can modify it to work with WIND/MOBILICITY etc.
Below is the link:
http://www.kijiji.ca/v-cell-phone/c...-enable-modify-for-wind-mobilicity/1073319239
http://www.androidrootguy.com/
Is this even possible? Should I try it? Im fearing he will take original parts and replace them with fake chinese and say he was not successful in modifying.
Thanks!
anybody?

Help! At&t v20 flashed wrong firmware, broken radio

Hello everyone
I have an AT&T V20 which recently got flashed with a wrong firmware (a friend did it) and it has its service disabled now cellular, wifi etc. What can I do and what tools do I have to use? I know that there is no KDZ file for the AT&T version and I'm willing to do any custom rom solution too if that solves the connectivity.
Thanks for your answers
Try flashing an AT&T radio?
