I have a Junsun V1 Pro unit and when I make a bluetooth phone call they tell me that they hardly hear me. If I am with the car stopped, something they listen to me. If I'm on the go, there's no way they'll hear me well. I do not know what solution you can have or if you can put an external microphone.
My car is a Seat León with standard bluetooth installation. I don't know if I could use the car microphone in any way. I think the car microphone cable goes to the radio, but I have nowhere to connect it to the Junsun equipment. Let's see if someone can help me.
Thank you

Junsun offers a second wiring harness which allows a lot of additional connections. E.g. for AUX in and to connect a amplifier. One of the connections is a 3.5 mm mono jack for a microphone. You can create an adapter to connect the Oem mic of your car.

I have exactly the same problem with this head unit.
Microphone (built-in) is virtually useless, my unit came with an external mic (free gift) which I have connected as you suggested using the second harness.
The problem is this is no better.
Checking the system with 'mictests' app it shows a problem with mic volume. My question is how do you access a volume control, I have been unable to find one.

Don't think there is a setting for microphone sensitivity/volume.
An option could be to remove the internal microphone (seen a lot of tutorials) or test with another mic.
Hello,
I'm facing the same problem. Firstly, I thought that the sensitivity might be the problem but the microphone amplifier app didn't help. Do you think that any update or a custom rom could solve the issue?
Thank you
Even I had this mic issue so found a way out attaching a tutorial video
hope that helps

Through Ali express, I chatted with the junsun company and they sent me a tutorial for removing the internal mic and put it back. It worked just for a day. I texted back and they sent me an external mic. The first time worked OK, today I had a call and my friend couldn't hear me well. So, now I have a 3.5mm jack to port another mic.
I hope a new good-quality mic solve the problem.

Did you settle with another good quality micro?
Yes. The result with a 6 euro philips (almost the same) mic, is much better. My friends can hear me at least. But, I would suggest a more expensive mic to replace with.
In addition, I would say also that it needs somehow a noise canceling set. I don't know if it's possible.

sim.

I've the same issue with my junsun v1 pro.
Calls are completely useless, full of noise and the other person can never hear me. I sent a message to the seller and he told me he was sending me an external mic.
I have unsoldered the micro that came in the radio and I have put the new one with the same result. calls cannot be used.
Apart from this there is a small delay like 1/2 second between when I speak and the other person hears it, so the calls are a complete mess.
Anyone knows if it is any solution? If I buy a better micro maybe the problem will be solved?
thank you all!
Same problem here (among others). Is there any external mic which works fine? A parrot external mic would work?
Thanks.
The problem is a fact and everyone has it.
The external mic helps a bit, but the small delay and the noise aren't solved.
So, the problem might comes from the software (or a terrible quality of the combination of mic, wires, bt).
1.So, does anybody try to use another app of calling?
2. Is it possible to find on play store a different tool which supports Bluetooth?
3. What about custom firmwares?
4. What about external BT earbuds?
Hello,
I have a problem with the internal microphone of my junsun v1 pro when I make a call or I receive a call people are not waiting for me. me yes I also tested with an external microphone the problem and the same.
Do you have a solution to the problem.
Sorry for my English
That call quality issue is so annoying Other than that I love the device. Today I tried with an external mic from the brand FISCON. It improved the quality a bit, but it’s still not good enough. Especially when doing business calls. Does anyone have a solution on how to make the microphone quality usable?
I purchased a Junsun M8925 late in 2021 subsequently installed in a Nissan Quashqai \Dualis J10- The unit works fine except the internal Mic was rubbish. I installed a external mic ( I think it is a cheap external mic that came with another Joying head unit) and the Mic sound is better but still not great.
I have attempted to adjust the BT Mic volume in the Factory setting menu but this has resulted in no Improvement.
I am going to install a Pioneer or Sony high quality mic in the next couple of days and report back if it works any better.
cheers
Marc
Hi, I also have the same problem with Junsun v1 4+64. However, for some reason it works better when I use the CarPlay (I have an iPhone). I wonder if it is a software issue or the iPhone/CarPlay uses another mic?
Also, my car (Peugeot 4007 which is basically Outlander 2) has an in-built microphone which I used for calls before I got the HU and it worked well. Is there a way to use the HU with my car mic?
I don

I do not know, somehow they must connect to each other. Sounds difficult.
Have you found why the car play works better? Does your iPhone uses its own microphone?

I've look into CarPlay forums and apparently CarPlay uses whatever microphone the head unit does. So if it's an aftermarket HU, CarPlay would use the HU mic. They say CarPlay definitely does not use the phone mic because it is designed in a way that you would just toss the phone out of reach for safety reasons.
However, what might make a difference is that I link my CarPlay with a cable, not bluetooth. The bluetooth connection could be the issue here. Which is weird because it's otherwise quite stable.
I saw a video of a guy using another aliexpress HU (SC7862) who is able to switch to the car microphone from the settings of the HU (
). I don't know however if Junsun offers such an option.

Hi just received an "EONON" android head unit that I bought on ebay.
It is the KLD RK3188 Android 4.4.4 version with no DVD player.
The unit is great, except for one major issue. The microphone is useless, both the internal and external mic produce very loud continuous buzzing both in phone calls and in Android apps.
I saw some others had some issues similar to this on other units, but I have not seen anyone mention this on this specific one.
Does anyone know of a fix for this?
I have tried a usb mic, but I can't get the device to use it as default.
Any advice would be appreciated!!
Its not an Eonon, they are just re-sellers, its a Klyde unit, they are all the same basic unit apart from screen size and front design and whether they are dual or quad core, read the main HuiFei thread, specifically the first page for a solution to the problem (You DONT want to use a USB mic as it probably contains a sound card so ALL Android sound will be diverted to it).
Solved

Thanks for the tip.
I actually was able to fix it by following that solution. I removed capacitor C32 and connected an external mic directly to the bluetooth module.
Phone calls are great now, Android is still using the internal mic with the crappy audio, but it seems like it would be difficult to fix and it works at least well enough for some basic voice commands which is all I need.
Hi
Burnaby BC, is your unit KLD ?
if so can you explain what you did ?
I understand that you have to remove capacitor C32 but what I don't understand is how did you do the second part(connect external mic directly to the BT module.)
thanks

Yes my unit is a Klyde (KLD) unit.
Look at C32, it should be next to the bluetooth module (unfortunately I don't have a picture).
Follow the trace that connects C32 to the input on the bluetooth module.
Once you remove C32, connect the microphone positive lead (+) to that input.
Then connect the microphone ground/negative (-) lead to ground or a case screw.
This will fix the bluetooth phone call audio.

I just purchased a new 7" Joying 5.1.1 mtcd unit. The audio during a Bluetooth call is awful. It comes through so broken up I can barely understand the person talking to me. It's not my phone either because I tried another Bluetooth headset and it worked fine. Any ideas on how to fix this?
Per mtcb thread, the same mic issues exists as almostevery cheap chinese head unit, including the wince units. The solution is to physically and electrically disconnect the internal microphone and connect a quality external microphone. Forget the cheap Chinese external mics and source a local lapel electret microphone. The difference will be night and day! Installation is important too - suggest mounting on steering column or (best) pointing back toward driver near rear view mirror (window acts as a parabolic reflector.) Keep away from sides/side window to minimise road noise.

I have read a little about that and it seems that will only fix the outgoing sound(my voice). Will it help the incoming sound that I get from whoever I am talking to on the phone?

This might help the incoming sound if the outgoing is really bad as some outgoing is mixed. The mic mod exponentially improves outbound audio so suggest making the modification and testing your results.
I bought a 7" Carjoying (Android 4.4.4 kitkat; CPU: RK3188 1.6GHz Cortex A9 Quad Core) last january for my 98 ford ranger. While running wires for the GPS, I went ahead and installed the external mic(came with the unit) on my sun visor. People have no issues hearing me, unless I'm on the freeway with the window down. I did not disconnect the head unit mic.

Hi,
I received my joying unit somes weeks ago, installed & tested ok.
But when I use bluetooth for a call, my interlocutor havn't an excellent good .
I have an internal origin microphone (Passat B7, and I had RNS315 installed, with bluetooth & origin microphone), and not tested to connect it to the unit. Maybe a solution ...
Did you find a good idea to solve it ?
Search forums, this issue is well discussed. Wince, MTCx; they are all the same design with internal mic (in-parallel) connected to external mic. Disconnect internal MIC and fi a quality external.

anyone know? I have seen the Russian guide but the translation was iffy at best and no one reports its success
Hello, I don't know if this is the place to express these doubts or not, but I have already lost patience after several days.
I have read the whole thread and I don't see any answer that solves them for me.
I have bought a Junsun V1 pro 4G 64Gb for a Mercedes Vito W447, I installed it and updated to the latest firware on this page, and I have 3 problems,
1º And more important: I can't get the reversing camera to work, I've tried to connect it even connecting it directly to 12v and with the rca and it doesn't do anything. On the other hand, in the instructions that came in the box it said that the red cable that is in the rca cable, will connect it with the pink one (it has Chinese letters and it is written 12v). But in the advertisement of the supplier that sold it to me, it says to connect it to the brown cable (Brake is written).
I have tried both options and neither of them work. I've asked the Chinese... and he doesn't listen to me.
Do you know how I can solve this? Or, is there an option in the menu that I may not have activated?
2º The Cambus tells me: not compatible, my car really doesn't have buttons on the steering wheel (so in principle I don't care too much) am I missing any other option that I would have with the cambus? and could that be the problem that my rear camera does not connect? I clarify that the camera is not from the original installation of the car, I bought it from aliexpress.
3º On the main page of Junsun you can see the image that is seen in all Junsun ads with the radio etc... and the marker at 0kmh. Is there a way to change that?
Excuse my English, I'm Spanish and I'm using the translator.
Thank you very much in advance.

Saved radio stations disappear after restart
Under Car settings, all the way down there are Desktop settings.
If I install a new launcher and change to that then it seems to stick when pressing home button.
But not sure for how long it stick.

I got sound on radio and navigation out of the box.
But there are some settings under CarSettings about navigation and sound, so maybe try there.
I have connected an external Microphone that I got with my unit, but it's still using the internal microphone.
And the sound is really bad when making phonecalls (for the other person).
Anyone know what to do, I read somewhere that I could open the device and desolder the old microphone?
That feels abit over overkill..

Desoldering/disabling the internal mic applies mainly to UIS7862 FYT units. In those units the internal microphone is easily accessible without dismantling the entire unit,
In short, the problem occurs because the Chinese have no clue about audio and shielding low level signal areas.
See below how it looks on my old unit.
I don't have this issue on my unit, maybe because on my unit the internal mic is on the side of the screen and they decided to use a shielded cable to connect it. Anyway, I'm also using an external mic but don't feel like the internal is still active. Will check.

The buttons are not on the unit, they are my old radiobuttons in the center console.
I have seen on youtube videos that they work on similar head units.
I bought the camera pack and it came with a really nice cable that connected in the back of the unit and only had 2 contacts that had ppower and everything in them. So no connecting to reverse lights or anything, just plug it in and cameras work.
A small Tips if you want Android Auto to start automaticlly.
In the Car settings you can change the Navi app to Zlink.
This will start Zlink when you start the car and the phone will connect to BT.
Works really great!
QuickShortcutMaker is a great app for accessing hidden Android settings.
