Hi,
I'm trying to create a recovery SD card for my hard bricked SM-T350 and was hoping for some help.
As mentioned, my Tab is HARD bricked (no power, no recovery, no dl mode, no charging icon even if left overnight to charge) and I would like to make an SD card to revive it. I know the best solution would have been to create one from a healthy SM-T350, but unfortunately I don't have one nor know of anyone that does.
What I do have is a backup pit file and the firmware files of the firmware that was on it before I bricked it.
Would it be possible to restore the pit file to the SD card in order to recreate the partitions of the internal SD card (mmcblk0)? Then I can use linux to write the firmware partitions to the card. Or is this just a fool's errand?
Alternatively, is it possible for anyone here to create a recovery SD image?
Thanks

Hi,
I'm new to the scene and I wanted to try out CM7 booting from SD before I install it to the internal memory. I am having a problem pasting the CM7 zip file on the card. The instructions state "Put the file to the SD card (there is only one partition). Don't change the name of the file."
After I burned the installer image to the card it only shows up as having a capacity of 115mb. It is a sandisk 16gb card. From what I read I need to access another partition, but I dont know how to do this.
Could someone help me out?
Thanks in advance.

If you are seeing a partition named "boot" that is 115MB, that is correct. The CM7 zips are all around 95-97MB. You will not be able to see the other partitions in Windows without additional software (Windows only sees the first active partition on a drive).
(You will, however, see the storage partition (in your case ~13.5GB) if you use USB storage mode to connect your Nook to your PC once your CM7 SD install is set up).
Edited: Sorry, ignore me!
I posted in the wrong thread and couldn't find a way to delete my post!
Yep, the "only one partition" that you see is the "only one partition" that you need. Put the zip in there, put the card in your NC, and gogogo.
Thanks for everyone's reply. I was able to get everything working. I actually just had to rename the zip file to Update-CM.zip for everything to run correctly.
Thanks again.

I would try the latest Thor recovery and then a different SD.
Format it in android Phone .
This has happened in the past to many.. Just all of the sudden as you say. I believe the best result on solving this has been to format the SD Card with a Android cell phone OR by downloading sd format . utility and using that.. I ALWAYS Use my cell phone.. Honeycomb should have put a format utility in it.
Formatting a card in windows for android on some sd cards seem to cause trouble. as the card gets full. Android formatting seems to do something different then windows. Not sure what or why.
Good Luck
So about a week ago I downloaded new version of icecream tosti's ICS rom (v0.6) and booted into CWM to mount my sd card and move the zip file over. I noticed that it was taking longer time to move the file than it usually does but I let the process finish. I unmounted the card and went to install the zip from sd card but couldn't find it. I tried to move the file again and again but couldn't get it to copy the file onto the sd card. I tried moving files from the sd card onto the computer but that was not possible either. It wouldn't show me errors and complete the moving process but it actually didn't move anything. I thought there was something wrong with the sd card so I tried formatting it... no success!
I have used easues partition manager, mini tool partition manager, hp sd card utility, panasoic sd card formatter, tried formatting it through windows native options, used disk management, even tried formatting it through CWM but i kept on getting the same error, can't format. I was placing the micro sd card in a usb card reader and sd card reader in order to format it through computer. I have also tried using different computers but that didn't solve the issue. The problem is that every time I try to install a rom it reverts back to an older revision of the rom with old settings that I set before. It seems to me some how the sd card is locked in a previous state and it is write protected and won't let me format it.
Does anyone have any ideas on how I can solve my problem or does this mean the sd card is gone and I have to buy a new one?
I have exactly the same problem after using NexusHD2-ICS-4.0.3-CM9 V1.3. It seems this sd card was frozen, nothing on it can be changed. If I copy a file to it on computer, it shows copy successful, but that file cannot be read, and if refresh it shows nothing have changed in the SD card.
Anyone have any idea about this?
I have three broken micro sd cards now, two from WP7 and this one from ICS.

I waited a couple of weeks for someone to answer on this forum and tried all methods possible to format the sd card or revive it somehow but no luck so just recently purchased a new sandisk class 4 sd card hopefully this one doesn't go bad either. I just wish I knew why it was happening so I don't repeat the process again and end up damaging the card.
Have you tried to format with MAGLDR and after it on windows 7 pc ?
I did that, also followed this post:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1283232
Contents on this sd card just refuse to change.
is there a solution to this coz im having the same problem and cant find a way to fix this
you can do it by this software's :
HDD Low Level Format Tool
MiniTool Partition Wizard
EASEUS Partition Master
Partition Wizard Home Edition
.
.
.
.
but i dont know how create swap and ext4 partitions on sd .
This happen because you formatted the card on the phone. I never recommend to format on the phone the cards but on PC. Try the application I posted on computer with FAT32 in 32768 unit size.
Hi everyone,
I've updated my firmware through Odin & I didn't realise I have to decrypt my SD card before flashing. Now my phone are able to read the SD card but unable to open the files. Images & songs/sounds wouldn't open. What should I do? I didn't do a recovery or anything.
Please help.
Thanks.
Hi friends,
My S4 i9515 doesn't recognize my micro sd card (the card is fine - works OK on a i9500 that I have).
I have been "playing" around with my i9515, installing LineageOS and back to Stock rom (from sammobile) with Odin.
At some point I've used a PIT file for i9515 and myabe that's what started the problem? :\
When I insert my micro sd card nothing happens.
I also tried formatting it on my i9500, but yet my i9515 doesn't see it.
Currently I'm on a ROOTED stock ROM with android 5.0.1 + TWRP 3.0.3 recovery.
Its a 32 GB Sandisk Ultra sd card
Any suggestions?
Thanks!
Have you ever considered it may be an actual hardware issue. Like, the SD card reader might be broken.
I don't see how a PIT file can cause such a problem, since PIT files are used to repartition the phone's storage. The PIT file does not contain any info for SD card partitioning.

OMG I've just compared both card readers on both devices and the i9515 really has one pin missing!
Hope I can find a way to open and fix it or just to put a new one.
Thank you very much.
