Weird issue when I connect my note 9 to my Dasaita Max10 w Andriod 10 it has a moon symbol on top of screen in the Android Auto main menu but maps still runs with daytime mode.
I unplug cord open maps and switch to night mode on the phone re plug in and voila night mode.
Setting maps to Automatically switch does not seem to work is this a glitch in Andriod Auto?
If anyone has a solution I would be grateful ?
Cheers.J
Moved out of Android Auto but pretty sure it is as Android Auto shows you their screen and options
Not Android Auto, requesting mod moved to Android head units.

hey guys
like a lot of us i'm setting my nexus 5 brightness mode to manual and with low value in order to save some battery life.
the problem is that when i get a call while driving in daylight i can not see anything on the screen and i have to start messing with my phone while driving......
this is why i developed this app.
it uses the car's Bluetooth to tell when i'm in the car and then sets the screen brightness mode to Auto. when disconnecting from the car's Bluetooth it set it back to what it was before.
i have been using it for a few months and i can tell that it is very useful for me.
it is a very simple App....and it does NOT effect battery life when installed.
i hope you will enjoy it as i am

Hi,
I have Chevrolet sonic and I buy witson unit direct fit with canbus, px5 4gb ram 32 rom.
The unit have 2 brightness settings, default and night mode.
the night mode suppose to activate when car lights are on, on my can I have automatic lights system and the automatic light is activated, when I turn on the car druing sunny day the drl (day running lights) are on, and the android thinks that lights are on so the night mode is activated al the time..
if I shutdown the lights on the car completely, then the android brightness is OK.
I can't find any solution for that issue, I do needs drl by law in Israel druing winter, but I need lower brightness from the android at night too.
Anyone had such issue and found a solution? Maybe there is some app thsr can change brightness by time of day?
Thanks!
Anyone?

Try going into the factory setting menu, password 126 and on the last page there is a setting for brightness trigger method - I can't remember the exact name but have a look. It worked for me on my Eonon MTCE PX5
Hi all.
I have a Oneplus 7 GM1900 OS 10.0.1GM57AA.
The phone is working great.
I recently also bought o New Nissan Qashqai 1.5d with A-IVI multimedia system that I updated to firmware ver. 0814. This is the latest...
I'm using the system with phones Android Auto and it's working great.
The problem is that I use the phone in dark mode, and every time I connect the phone and use android auto on the A-IVI system, when I disconnect it or during being connected, the settings and the menus are changed to light-white. And while I see the menus in light-white background, when I get in the menu to change to dark mode, dark mode is selected but the display is white.
So I have to select dark mode again and do all the changes I want to the clock, the tone, the fingerprint etc. from the start. And this is happening every time...
Anyone has a solution for this?
Thanks for hearing and reading my problem-question...
I have an Android head unit that also runs Android Auto. When I use the split screen function, Android Auto remains in landscape on half of the screen. Is there any way to put Android Auto in portrait mode similar to how a phone runs Android Auto?
Hello, I have a problem with my new T10 Android Headunit. When I select brightness mode "auto" it always display the dark theme, then it dims the display, CarPlay starts in dark mode...
