Why I can't update from 3.0.1 to 3.2

I purchased my tablet from US and I live in india. Only one time i was able to update when i run it first time, after than never got any message for update of Android Version.
When i go to Settings>About Tablet and click on System Update and check for new version it's gives me message "Your device is up to date" and when i see the version details than these are
Model Number : A500
Android Version : 3.0.1
Kernel Version : 2.6.36-00017-gc98d63f
Build Number : Acer_A500_1.016.01_COM_GEN1
Update is not available for india yet or where i am wrong please help.
Not sure if your locale has anything to do with getting updates. That's typically an issue with 3G providers, but as long as your tablet is an A500 (wifi only version) it should find the OTA updates no problem, that it unless you are running a custom ROM. Either way, you can manually update your tablet. All the information you need is here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1113878
If you currently have a custom ROM or rooted your stock ROM, you will lose root by updating to a newer stock ROM, and the only way to recover root is by reverting back to Android 3.0. There are several custom ROM's based on 3.2 which already have root, if you also choose to go that route. If you have no idea what I mean when I mention root, just don't worry about it and carry on with that link I posted
Thanks Bloodflame, Yes i read that it can not be rooted and thank you for the link to get it update manually but i don't understand why i am not able to get updates.
And whether it is good to update with 3.0.2 ? Please suggest.

can't explain why you're unable to OTA update, but the security and performance improvements along with new features (ie, native mouse support) should make a manual 3.2 update worthwhile
Ok Thanks, I will update to 3.2 and let me see what magic it does.

flash lollipop coming from marshmallow

HI. I run android 6.0.1 and want to downgrade to android 5 dure the bad quality of the epd resolution on marshmallow. I know I need to be in 4.4.3 and then upgrade to 5.0 to achieve lollipop, but read in the forum I would break the phone if I flash to 4.4.3 once I flash to marshmallow, because the bootloader changed .
So, if there isn't a FOTA of lollipop it means I can't run it no more?
You can also flash the bootloader, and I am pretty sure that you don't need to go to 4.4.3 first. You can just directly flash lollipop. Lollipop and MM don't have a different bootloader by the way.
I know because I when MM was still in testing phase, I switched back to lollipop first before upgrading to the official MM release.
That being said, a lot of stuff can go wrong if you start flashing while not completely knowing what you are doing and there are no completely foolproof programs or guides for the yotaphone out there.
If you wanna go at it anyway, you can start with the links below for info and firmware files.

Grts
Yeah that's great to know, but thats why I ask about the tioe of firmwares, because, if I am right, I can flash a FOTA but not a OTA of a lower version coming from a newer one.
Which lollipop firmware did you flashed?
As you say, I want to understand it before maybe bricking it

I flashed the ru 124 firmware. Someone uploaded all firmware files here:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/yotaphone-one/general/firrmware-files-one-files-onedrive-t3633138.
Downside is that you have to download everything even though you probably just want 1 of the firmware files.
For your convenience, I uploaded my lollipop firmware files here along with the needed software and drivers and a bat script to flash it all:

Upgrade to Nougat on the CN rom ?

I just got to the WW version which is converted from the CN one ( https://forum.xda-developers.com/zenfone-3-zoom/how-to/transfer-cn-rom-to-ww-rom-ze553kl-t3612990 ). My Zen 3 is the US version, but I did some dumb things and my phone couldn't start so I had to flash the rom above. But now I got a problem. I can't get any update from Asus anymore. My phone is still on the android 6.0 tho. Is there any way to get the newest update ? At least how can I return to the manufacture's rom ? ( Sorry for my bad English, hopefully you guys can get the point I really need your helps )

Zte a2017gv1.0.0b11

Hi everyone !
i have many issues and limitations on my ZTE Axon 7 like battery drain and problems to connect with google account, remove or change it etc. Basically I'm not allowed to do anything telling me I dont have admin rights.. I tried already many solutions to sort these issues but none worked. Even if I do a factory reset I will still encounter same issues. I have european version of the phone I'm on build number ZTE A2017GV1.0.0B11, MIFavor UI 4.0, Android 6.0.1, Kernel 3.18.20 and I want to upgrade it to B35 or a much more recent version. The update in the settings is telling me 'software up to date' so cant do it automatically.
Which version would you advise to have the most efficient and less limitative interface (maybe even avoid overlayers from zte) ? could you help me explaning how to choose and do an upgrade with all detailed steps? also I am wondering if any problem with upgrading and my phone doesnt work can I do a factory reset or nothing and do I lose the warranty doing so? I am looking for most simple way to do so (for a newbie)
thanks a lot !
Download the A2017G B08 Nougat ROM, put the update.zip in the root of SD and use the system update app. From that ROM there is a new Nougat B10 update as a precursor to updating to Oreo soon.

B35 is US. You have to use B08 or 09. But yeah, just update to B08
The Nougat V1.2.0B10 just released. You may get it from the ZTE Germany page.
@ko_wei13 is it compatible to update from ZTE A2017G V1.0.0B11 to V1.2.0B10 ? if I download it from the german website can I set any language after update?
@RobboW on which website can I find / download right package of the A2017G B08 Nougat ROM compatible with my build version?

Yes, minimum requirement to update to Nougat is V1.0.0B11. So you can download the file and place it under the root directory of your phone storage and the system update will automatically detect it.
For language, there is no issue for you to change it as the ROM is for global, not limit to German.
I flashed it on my G. Had a couple of glitches but mostly ok. They say you should do a major update after a factory reset. I didn't but the glitches were minor and it seems to be working ok now.
thanks worked great !
@yann360,
Hi,
Yeah, you can set most language in your phone. You can upgrade your phone via SD card.
Thanks!

You can not downgrade bootloader versions. So if your on pie with version 4 bootloader the lowest you can go is the earliest version of Oreo with bootloader version 4. Anything with 3,2 or 1 bootloader can't be flashed.
My god. So there is no Odin way or any other way to bypass bootloader restriction?

As far as I know no you can't downgrade bootloader versions.
Thanks for the reply. I just flashed the earliest Oreo firmware with bootloader binary 4 wich is actually last big change in stable releases of Oreo. NExt 3 releases were only security updates. I cant get lower then that since two more Oreo firmwares before that had BL number 3 and 2 - Nougat starts with 1 unfortunately. I really hoped maybe guys on XDa figured this thing out too downgrade to lower BL numbers, but i guess its not possible. .If i knew that before, i would never upgrade this shi..t to PIe. Hopefully Oreo will do fine now.
