Bosion RK3399 Android 9.0 with DSP Bootloop - Android Head-Units

Hello everybody,
I bought a Bosion car radio in 4 / 64GB (px6/rk3399/2.0Ghz) version a month ago with dsp, and android 9.0 installed.
After 1 week, after ignition to on, it shows me the welcome picture, and after the android logo loading, and it runs in a loop.
After contacting the seller, he sent me the program to install on SD card with all the steps.
I followed everything step by step, then I insert the sd card and switch on the car ignition.
I briefly see the android logo and the screen goes black (the backlight remains on, the buttons on the side also light up with the headlights)
I don't know if it's a software problem or a hardware problem,
This is my first Android car radio and I'm a little lost,
If any of you can help me I would be grateful,
Thanx in advance

Thanx !
I installed everything on the sd card, the update went well.
Only, now the car radio starts up, welcome appears for 5 seconds, a brief black screen appears and it goes back to Welcome on a loop.

Then I think you need to install the firmware at that point, I'm not sure as it's never happened to me

My PX6 head unit is stuck on the Android 9 boot logo

Hello, I installed my new Px6 octacore radio and it's stuck on the Android boot logo. The only thing that works is the reverse camera then back to the boot logo.
The reverse camera always work 100% when I put the car in reverse but when I take off the reverse it always goes back to the boot logo.
I tried the reset button but the screen just turns black, then the welcome screen appears the android logo appears again but it gets stuck on the loop every time.
Here is the video of the radio in action or rather inaction:

the reverse camera works without android, so it works always despite of what the status of android is.
it seems you have an infinite bootloop, try to remove ALL power from the unit. turning your car on and off is not good enough, you'll need to remove the power connector (dinplug) from the unit.. wait for a while and plug it in the unit again. (or remove the positve lead from your car battery)
now try again..
if that does not work press the screen with 5 vingers during bootup..
if it still doesn't work, try tapping on the screen from first power on. it should say "detected" in the upper left corner.
if it says detected, you can try flashing new firmware.

I tried all of your recommendations but no luck. I was not even able to get the detected message to appear on screen.
Strangest thing is that it worked fine the entire day until I installed the backup camera and put it into reverse for the first time. After that it never worked again.
I know you mentioned that the reverse camera has nothing to do with the android part but that's exactly when it locked up.

do you have an external amp or powered antenna connected to the HU to?
it seems there is either a problem with a groundloop, or a hardware problem..
disconnect the camera from the HU (the power switch cable and the plug) and any other powered stuff, so you just end up with the head unit having 12V, ACC and GND, and give it a try again..
(i'm rooting for you!:laugh

Thanks ducthcommando! The seller tells me that it's a bad motherboard and is willing to send me a new motherboard for me to replace but I'd rather get a new unit. Either way I'm going to try out what you told me by unplugging everything except the basic power plug and see if that works.
I'm weary of these android head units now. Do you have any good recommendations for single din PX6 units? Thanks.
good to hear the seller takes some action!
and no, i don't have any single din units to recommend..
the best of the best are cloned fast and easy, so if one says you need the blablabla 9X pro, and you do a search for it, you could well end up with a fake unit...
also there are way, way more knowledgeable people here who know trusted resellers and best brands..

Need Recovery mode Avin Avant 4 Android 9.0 PX6 unit

Hi there,
After doing an upgrade my unit it stuck with a black screen and need to get into recovery mode in order to reload a working firmware.
Anyone any idea how to get there?
Tried the reset button for some time with and without home or on/off button and also removed the power source and pressed reset while putting power back but nothing seems to work
So i'm stuck for now :crying:
Any help?
Did you ever get your unit fixed? Did you try restarting with a USB plugged in with the firmware file on it?
No sorry... never got it working again. Had to send it back for a replacement unit.
I've been doing a lot of back and forth with their support on another issue and I've updated my MCU and software so many times now I thought maybe I'd be able to give you a hand.
Do you use any navigation apps on your Avant4? When I use ones that have voice navigation, the voice is getting truncated at the start and end of the directions. Some apps more than others and it seems to be related to those apps that use TTS (Text to Speech).
I'm using Waze via Android Auto. So i'm not having this problem.
So it runs from your phone and just displays on the Avant4? I have Waze running on the unit directly and it gets truncated.
I have al running on my phone and use a Android Auto box.
U can buy it from Avin USA. See website for all options on your Avant4.

If you hold the volume knob until it starts blinking then let go and hold it down again it will boot the unit into recovery mode.

Need RoadNav S160 M254 Firmware Update - Roadnav.com is down

*UPDATE* Was able to find former employee who got me the files I needed.
We purchased a Ford Explorer with a RoadNav s160 M254. I am trying to get the firmware update, but Roadnav.com appears to be down. Are they out of business? Would anyone happen to have the last firmware update for this? Thanks!

Also, I was able to resolve the bootloop by completely killing the power connection and resetting the unit. Good luck.

No, there is no reset button. I disconnected the power connection and waited 10 min before reconnecting while holding the SRC Button and that reset the unit. I followed these instructions.
How to upgrade your firmware?
1 Download the RoadNav Android S160 firmware for your model here
2 Extract and Copy the files into the SD card and insert the SD card into the GPS Slot (it must be this slot)
3 Power OFF your radio (turn car key to OFF position)
4 Wait about 5-10 minutes for SRC light to go OFF
5 Hold the SRC button and turn car key to ON position. You should hear a beep, keep holding than it beep twice, then loose the source button.
6 Upgrade will start automatically.
7 After about 5 minutes a message at the bottom says Installation complete. BUT, that's not the end of the upgrade.
8 The radio screen goes black and beeps for 1 minute (this is normal, don't touch it !!)
9 After some more updates the "installation is complete please remove card"
10 Remove the SDcard and the radio automatically reboots.

Good luck. These units are a pain.

Android tesla type Black screen

Hello Friends of the forum
Please I have a tesla type android kit mounted on Renault Talisman 2018.
Suddenly it began to stop loading the operating system, it only reached the logo of the brand and did not continue. I thought the solution would be to hit the Reset button, but this only made the situation worse. Now the screen is black. The other problem is that when it does not turn on, I do not know what its exact model is, or Android version.
It is very similar to this
https://www.belsee.com/belsee-best-...rade-for-renault-talisman-megane-iv-4-koleos- 2016-2020.html
Would someone be so kind to help me?
What would be the appropriate files for this model?
Thank you
