The radio doesn't react to plugging in a pendrive - Android Head-Units

My radio is from china with android 8.1 and supports USB disk up to 32 GB
When I plug a flash drive into any of the two USB ports, nothing happens on the radio, no response, fat32 and NTFS flash drives do nothing. You think it's something with the settings? When I plug my phone into the port it only charges. Mirrorlink usb can't connect either. Please help me.
I'm sorry if the topic is in the wrong category, but I'm from Poland and I don't understand much,

Did you format it fat 32 ?
Also try another USB stick

Did you check that the usb ports are well connected to the back of the units? Perhaps the connector is loose

Yes i formated it fat32 and this same situation - nothing like that in NTFS format.
Today i will try with another usb stick but if I connect my phone with wire - radio doesnt react too.

[Q] Sandisk Dual USB OTG + Stock ROM

Hi Guys,
does anyone know if there are any issues with the OTG on the stock Galaxy S4 (i9506 Telstra)?
I purchased a Sandisk Dual USB OTG drive 64GB and for some reason after it detects it and says "USB Connector Connected", it comes up with "USB Mass Storage Safely Removed" straight away.
I have checked few of the apps on the market that check if OTG works, and they all show it is enabled on the device.
I have also formated the drive exFat and tried FAT32, and neither of them work.
any ideas why the drive unmounts automatically?
@AntaresOne. Throw some light here!

Hello,
First, FAT32 is made to be used on disks of max 32GB (you can also use exFAT on this size as I currently do), and starting from 64GB you should always use exFAT.
Are you sure that device's USB connector is not dirty? If may be, clean it with a toothpick.
If this doesn't solve your problem, see if there are software updates for your device (could be a software issue), try also an other OTG device (a simple pendrive+OTG cable is enough)

cool, thanks. didn't know about the FAT32 limitation. and Yes my USB connector is clean and all. it doesn't seem to be hardware problem. I've got the latest stock 4.3.
I'll try on another S4 when I get the chance. I might need to get OTG cable, will come in handy one day. All I have right now is that Sandisk USB stick (which is very handy to have when it works )
I"ll try few more things and report back. I just wanted to check if anyone has OTG USB drive that works with the S4.
I just figured it out. I had encryption enabled on my phone memory and SD card. Not sure why this interferes with reading the USB.
It worked perfectly as soon as I disabled the decryption on the phone and SD card.

No power, you need to put it on the USB3 port (the blue port).
I have 3 toshiba USB powered HDD, and they work.
It should work, if your using the correct power adapter.
I don't have anything in the other USB port, expect the dongle on jellybean.

I've never tried through a hub.
Mojo's jellybean only supports read only, no write access on ntfs.
I've head people installing an app with root and it working that way.
I haven't tried on cm12

otg on lollipop?

hi, is it possible to read usb like this on nexus 4 with lollipop?
http://www.conrad.it/medias/global/ce/3000_3999/3400/3450/3453/752527_LB_00_FB.EPS_1000.jpg
Unfortunately no, USB OTG is possible with certain custom kernels, however external power must be supplied to the USB device as no power can be transferred through the nexus 4's USB port to the USB unit.
You need the following-
1. A OTG cable with external power supply
2. A custom kernel that supports OTG (Unleashed kernel does)
3. Chainfires USB stick mount app.
Hi
I am trying to use flash drive on nexus 4 I have the otg y cable and it is providing power to both flash drive and phone but the flash drive is not mounting and doesn't show anywhere on phone . And chain fire always gives this error whether flash drive is connected or not .
Any help ?
Do you have a compatible kernel?

How are you connecting hard disk to yureka? With simple usb otg adapter? If so, is the disk running/rotating?
External hard disks wont get sufficient power from yureka. You at least need to use external powered usb hub for this to work. And then if ntfs can be recognized by yureka (i think it is supported), you can achieve it.
To check if ntfs is recognized, connect ntfs formatted pen drive to yureka and check.

How's that possible?

I had moto g 1st gen before which easily mounts with usb otg cable without any power issue, so how can yureka is incapable of that which has bigger processor greater battery than moto g? [emoji15]

8227L_Demo Junsun V1C suddenly doesn't read 64GB USB - PLS HELP!

Hi, dear community.
I bought a USB 3.0 stick, 64GB to load in to my music library. It was working absolutely flawlessly for 2 months or so, then, suddenly, my Android HU doesn't see the USB stick anymore. Like, at all.
I tried formatting with Rufus (latest) to FAT32 multiple times, but this doesn't help.
Other USB flashes work, for example a USB 2.0 8GB variant. Also, my Xiaomi Mi 11 gets recognized, no problems.
Is there something that I can do with this USB 3.0 stick, 64GB? Because, my PC recognizes the USB and it's contents no problem.
Hope you can advise.
Thanks in advance.
You checked the USB stick with chksk?
