I noticed that Pluto TV now integrates with the Live Channels app but I don't know the controls for the app.
Is there a way to pause the video while in the app since scrolling through the program guide is very laggy while a video is playing. I also don't know how to stop the video from playing since clicking the back arrow and the home button seem to not do anything.
Unfortunately Google hasn't given us any way to stop playback when using live channels. You can hit the home button on your remote, then it will play in the background; then just go into settings or another app, and it will stop the video.
Just wondering if anyone can help on how to stream live from the shield android tv console direct to youtube, hopefully with the webcam showing you in the corner if possible please. They don't explain how and promote twitch whereas I think they should have a choice for both when holding the home button for 3 seconds to broadcast, this is what I want to do webcam and onscreen game broadcast to youtube live.

Please any help for streaming to youtube from a nvidia shield android tv,I don't want to use twitch they seem to be bias towards twitch at nvidia,so guessing there's money involved here and they are not allowing apps to run as far as I can tell this is the case but may be getting it wrong? Tried Gusher it has a youtube option,it states on a youtube video it works but when i try it says live not enabled,it points me to a link to enable it via youtube,in your account profile or settings page, but this is stating live is enabled? But I create a live broadcast in youtube and once I publish it it states offline,I then srtp details method in Gusher and the same message pops up again enable live streaming got no clue how to ammend it or how to work around this, contacted google and nvidia google put me over to nvidia, nvidia fobbed me off stating the shield is using twitch so use twitch,we don't support youtube streaming??? They suck at this.Personally I'd tell them if I was president of google,I'd say look nvidia you use our android tv os but won't allow the live streaming in favor of twitch streaming either enable it or loose your rights to the os to use it on shield tv!I'd also say what no love for youtube streaming on the shield tv but you have a partner ship with an alternative live streaming provider instead of the live streaming provider of your os that's a bit of a poke in the eye.
UPDATE
Found an app that enables youtube live from within android tv os and that is this app BitStream https://play.google.com/store/apps/...roid&pcampaignid=APPU_1_Pz9_V_-nIciZgAa6l4Io%
1.88 gbp price 1080p max varied resolutions other than 1080p and no ads at that cost,it's awesome,1 flaw though the mic setting when enabled keeps the sound and microphone going all the time, you mute the mic though and it mutes the game stream sound as well.Just thought it might help those who can't enable live streaming option from the youtube site when using the shield android tv console

I can disable/hide navigation bar but picture has still the same size.If i use standard netflix apk then picture is on fullscreen but i want to use 4k resolution (4k tv, 4k cable, 4k nvidia shield and netflix 4k subscription). Other vod services work fine with full resolution.
Thanks for your help in advance.

I had a problem with streaming from my op6t on my samsung tv, all the video content I was mirroring wasnt in full screen, i had black borders. I was told in op forums that with a chromecast i wouldnt have this problem, so I bought one today but the problem still remains, chrome videos, youtube videos popcorn movies etc are all mirrored with black borders on my screen, my tv is 55" but when i want to see a video or a movie i see with 48" max.... Is there any solution?
It sounds like you're initiating the screen mirroring by using either the "Cast" tile in Quick Settings or under Settings>Bluetooth & device connections>Connection Preferences>Cast. If you're mirroring the phone display to the tv, then it won't fill the screen because the aspect ratio of the phone is different than the tv (19.5:9 vs 16:9). So there will be borders at the top & bottom at the least or on all sides, depending on how things are being displayed on the phone. For example if you're mirroring a YouTube video and it's displaying at 100% on your phone, it'll have bars all around on the tv. If you zoom in to fill the phone screen, on the tv it'll stretch so it will only have bars on top.
What you want to do is initiate a true cast through the app you want to be watching, assuming it supports Chromecast. Open the app (e.g. YouTube) and tap the Cast icon in the app, not in Quick Settings. It'll show a list of devices to cast to. Find your Chromecast and tap that. It will then launch the YouTube app on the Chromecast. You can then select the video you want to watch from your phone and it'll send it to the Chromecast and it should display fullscreen on the tv. While casting, the video does not play simultaneously on the phone. It's streamed directly to your Chromecast. You can continue to do other things on the phone without interrupting the video playing on the tv.
If you have videos saved on your phone that you want to view on your tv, you can use the mirroring function from the phone, but you'll still have the borders. Or you can use an app like Plex. Again, initiate casting and select the video through the app.

Yes I use the cast toggle to screen my phone and then to stream from chrome, what I cant understand is why is this method working with my wifes pixel 3xl (18.5:9) and not with my op6t? I am doing the same thing with her phone and there are no borders when going in to full screen on a video on chrome.

Don't use the "cast" toggle in the quick settings. But use the "cast to chromecast" toggle in apps.
It looks like the icon from the quick settings (drop down menu).
That icon should appear in apps (youtube, vlc etc) when a Chromecast is found on your wifi.

Idk why it works for your wife's pixel but in any case I've had success with using this app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.farmerbb.secondscreen.free
On my tablet. Give it a whirl?
Hi there
I'm using a Nvidia Shield TV, it comes with a built-in option that allows record the screen.
I'm playing NES games lately and recording some gameplays, the problem is those games runs at 60fps (yes, 60 fps), and when the character gets damage it blinks so fast, the problem is the recording with this built-in app records at 30fps, you cannot change that, and the result is the character disappear on the record.
Would there be any app that allows record at 60fps on Android TV?
Thanks in advance
